Upcoming Appointments? Tomorrow with my doctor, I have lots of questions so I'm excited to chat with her!
    TTGP Grad? No
    IF/RPL/High Risk? AMA on Sunday!
How are you feeling? My back has been awful lately. Almost like it was seizing up on Friday. It's better now but at the time it even hurt to breathe!
Rants/Raves? Rant: I wish I was a hard sleeper. Any little noise/light wakes me up. Rave: My birthday is coming up, MH is away on a a business trip, so I'm going to pamper myself! Treating myself to many brunches with friends, back massages, nails done, etc.
Questions? Anyone else terrified of having their baby early? I don't know why it has been on my mind so much lately.

Upcoming Appointments? Not for a few weeks

    TTGP Grad?

    IF/RPL/High Risk? RPL, AMA, thyroid

How are you feeling? I'm feeling pretty good. Energy is finally making a comeback so that has been nice.  The only days that I really don't feel good is the day after I travel, so that should be interesting as I get bigger.

Rants/Raves? Raves: We had a really good weekend with the boys. We went shopping and for a day adventure on Saturday, and then had a quiet day yesterday with afternoon naps and s'mores on the grill after our evening walk.  Rant: I'm still really irritated with my doctor. I've been cautiously googling about inducing delivery at 39 weeks, and I'm really not finding much that indicates it's necessary. I'm also going to have to stop being so cautious and actually dive deeper into research because I'm not finding the journal article(s) that started this whole mess of a recommendation.

Questions? Does anyone have suggestions on how to stop sickness after I travel? I make sure I eat snacks and stay hydrated, but I feel awful the next day with just having zero energy and having what amounts to severe morning sickness.

@lexilougolden It's not a concern of mine, but both of my boys were overdue, so I'm just assuming this one is staying put. Baby #3 will probably catch me off guard.

How are you feeling? relaxing after my weekend in Savannah. One more day off before I'm back to the daily grind.

Rants/Raves? Rave: I'm so happy to be home, glad I went since it was a blast. Rant: Battling some bad constipation all weekend put a downer on. I have felt so good since 15 weeks and it's this weekend symptoms act up.

  • @kaf1788 As a fellow spreadsheet maker, I love that you made one. I also love that your H pretended to care lol. I have that same response when someone random tries to out-nutrition me.

@angelob88 I’m glad you had fun! Hopefully your constipation resolves itself. I’m sure you’ve tried a lot things, but the thing that has helped me was increasing my fruit intake.

How are you feeling? I am generally uncomfortable. The migraines were concerning enough to the midwife to have me start a third B2 supplement and a migraine medication. But it's good to know, or at least reassuring, that everything else I've been feeling is normal and not concerning.

Rants/Raves? still generally annoyed that we were exposed to COVID. the tests we took yesterday were negative, thankfully, but we're double-checking tomorrow.

    Questions? natm

@lexilougolden I hope the back pain resolves soon. you are definitely not alone in your fear! every time I have a pain or cramp I think "this could be it, they're going to have to sew my cervix shut". definitely bring it up to your medical people if there are specific things you're feeling that are making the fear worse, it feels good to have them say "you're fine, that's normal" lol.
@makingbacon I hope you're able to find those articles! so far your research looks like it's showing that it's not necessary, like you thought, but it would be helpful to see the research your team keeps referring to. glad you had such a good weekend to balance out the dr nonsense.
@kaf1788 yay for post-headache BLISS! and also LOL at that mechanic, I love the spreadsheet response.
@angleo84 oof, I hope the constipation subsides soon :( so glad you had a good time and that you gave yourself an extra day off to rest!

  • @angelob88 the constipation is the worst. Mine was bad on vacation too- probably because I wasn’t eating great. Once I can back I started eating overnight oats with chia seeds and berries every morning, and shoot to have both a fruit and a veggie with every meal. That’s made a TON of difference for me!

Rant: My family cannot catch a break 😩 5yo home from preschool with HFM. Hubs leaves tomorrow for Canada for a week and I WFH tomorrow then take Brielle to the doctors. Hopefully she gets the all clear to go back to school.
Rave: going on our first Disney cruise in 2 weeks (rescheduled 4 times due to covid and I didn’t think it would happen this time actually). Pretty excited for a break.

  • @chgilmore @kaf1788 I am definitely going to uptake my fruit now that I'm not eating out every meal which is essentially what vacation was this past weekend. I found half a container of grapes in the work fridge that I never finished last week so that's on the menu for today. Told DH to buy all the fruit that has a decent sale price during the grocery trip today. It seems better today since I took 2 docusate last night but I hate to rely on that consistently for it and work on the diet change instead.

  • @angelz429 Omg have fun!! Our honeymoon was the Disney Caribbean cruise and it was a dream vacation. I seriously still have dreams about it at least once a month and it’s been five years 😂😂
    chgilmoreangelz429
  • @angelz429 @ninrms I've been on exactly one Disney cruise and it was when I was 7 but I still fondly remember the free soft serve ice cream at the end of the water slide. cue like, an hour of looping through the slide, getting a soft serve cone, eating it in line for the slide, and going down the slide again xD
@angelob88 I hope that helps! a whole grain toast too maybe?

How are you feeling? Not too bad but starting to realize I need to slow down a bit. Cutting up kindling for fires and laying carpet aren't pregnancy lady friendly activities. I finally gave in and hired someone to close the pool.

Rants/Raves? I just decided on a bassinet option for in our room. And I'm just happy to finally look pregnant - I kept getting that look from the guys at work like is she preggo? Now they are finally feeling comfortable enough to just ask and I'm happy to say " I am finally, not just fat!" just to make them blush lol. All the guys here know I've been trying for my second for while and it's fun to get a rise out of the old steel workers lol.

Questions? Just curious since everyone is from all over - what's your birthing hospital's protocol with COVID? My hospital is COVID test when admitted, mask at all times while we are there (other than eating and I think in the final stage of labour if you cant stand the mask) and no one can come and go. Also - we're supposed to wear a mask around the baby for the two weeks after were home when we can't distance...I'm not liking the sounds of that.

  • @JWatt5 Finally looking definitively pregnant has been a blessing over here too lol. Current protocol for Covid is testing before (if induced) or upon arrival. We have to stay in the room the entire time, but we can take the mask off once we’re in our room and leave it off, unless I test positive. I would guess if DH tested positive that he would have to leave, but I’m not 100% certain how that works. We won’t have to mask around baby at all, unless we test positive. We also can’t have guests at the hospital right now.
    ninrms
  • @JWatt5 our hospital's protocol is that if we test negative, we can take masks off in the room but MH has to wear a mask if medical people come in the room at all. if either of us is positive, I think we both have to wear masks if I'm not actively having contractions or in "serious labor". regardless, neither of us is allowed to leave the room once we arrive; we can have food delivered to the hospital and a nurse will bring it to us, though. I haven't heard anything about masking around the baby.

    Rants/Raves?
Rant: I feel so boring. I've got nothing. 😂

Rave: Today is only a half day of work because my son(12) has an ortho visit this morning. I dreamed about getting a McDonald's bacon, agg, and cheese biscuit on Monday night, so I'm pretty sure we are going to do that today.

    Questions? None at the moment.

    How are you feeling? great!

Rants/Raves? My rant for the week is my asshole neighbor. He has chickens, and doesnt keep them pinned, and refuses to. So they keep coming into my yard. Its been really frustrating because they're getting on our stuff. Crapping the porches, and just being general nuisances. We have some deterrents in place, but were about to get the sheriff's dept. involved. And im just pissed that hes just an inconsiderate asshole about it.

    Questions? natm

@lexilougolden hope you enjoy the birthday shenanigans! I do get a bit nervous about having him early sometimes. I went full term with my son, but i get nervous about something happening that will make them need to take him early. Blood pressure or whatever. I will feel better about it as the time goes, but its still nerve wracking!

@makingbacon I understand your frustration I cant imagine how your recent age change is going to have a huge difference in the health of this pregnancy. especially with inductions being more difficult, and having a higher rate of cesarean. I would be irritated too.

@kaf1788 goodluck with your appt this week! I would have been so irritated! I get so sick of men thinking they know better and mansplaining stuff like that! I might have just said something if i were you. Or at least been tempted to email/ leave a bad review about it after the fact. You sound like me coming back to my husband justifying why im right 😅

@angelob88 Colace has been a lifesaver lately!

@chgilmore im sorry that youre feeling uncomfortable! Hope the migraines ease up soon!
    chgilmorelexilougolden
  • @modoodles girl get that sandwich and enjoy it!!!
@photographerwife inconsiderate neighbors are contagious it looks like, that sounds really gross to have to deal with - and they're not even your chickens! the migraines aren't exactly easing up, but my midwife prescribed a medication that I got to try for the first time yesterday and IT WORKED! finally.
    kaf1788photographerwifeJWatt5
  • @chgilmore glad you are getting some relief! I hope it continues. And yes, it is super gross. We spend quite a bit of time outside since covid and having a 3 year old, and it’s just gross. I just called the sheriffs dept to ask what we should do, so I’m waiting for a call back. 🙄 so irritating.
