Trying to Get Pregnant

TWW Monday 9/27

**This is a thread that welcomes all regardless of where they are at in their TTC journeys. Please be mindful of topics that are discussed that could be hurtful to those going through tough times. Mention of children or pregnancies of others should have a TW (trigger warning) and be in a spoiler if possible, and only be mentioned if it is extremely pertinent to the conversation. Thanks for keeping this a safe place for us all to engage!**

Re: TWW Monday 9/27

  • I’ve been lurking for the past week so I feel like it’s time for me to join in. There hasn’t been a new newbies intro thread started so I’ll probably just go post in the last one that was made?

    Month/Cycle: 1/1

    CD/DPO: 18/3

    Timing: -5, -4, -2, 0

    Typical LP length: ~14 days

Testing: n/a Probably going to hold off as long as possible. I hate to waste tests, but also Amazon has a 25 pack for $8 that looks tempting…

R/R: Some crazy stuff has been going on at work and it’s been overwhelming with everything else going on in my personal life (I’ll share that in an intro thread or spoiler somewhere). I’m going to have to talk to my supervisor this week and let her know I’m going to have to relinquish some of it for my own sanity.

CS/Q: I noticed no one else has been posting in the TWWs, am I currently the only one?

  • Month/Cycle: 11 AL

    CD/DPO: 20/3

    Timing: -5 (ha), -1, 0, +1

    Typical LP length: 12 days

    Testing: this weekend I guess?

R/R: went to a farm yesterday with family for a corn maze. This place had a shit ton of stuff to do for kids it was crazy! *TW LO*

I watched my 2 y/o niece shove some corn into her diaper in the corn pit they had :D. Which of course has DH asking me if I'm sure I want kids.

They did have a pumpkin themed game of Guess Who? which was really fun. Kids games are still for adults lol

Poor DH likely ended up with heat exhaustion and was doing terrible yesterday evening. What was a cool morning (in the 50s) turned into feeling like it was in the 80s by late morning/early afternoon. I should not have worn a long sleep shirt and fleece leggings.... He seems to be okay today, just not 100%. In other news I got my immunology lab kit on Saturday and now I'm panicking because the biopsy sample has to be taken 7-9 days after LH surge which for me was on Thursday. So if I don't want to wait a whole extra cycle I need to get that scheduled ASAP either Thursday or Friday. Still trying to work out insurance stuff blah. And I just found out this morning my coworker will be out all week as his mom died over the weekend (covid). He is supposed to take next week off for vacation as well but now I don't know if that's still happening. Probably makes me a shit person but I hope not because I can barely take being by myself for a week. I might just have a mental breakdown if it has to be 2. Maybe I'll call in "sick" the following Monday :#

CS/Q: I really appreciate the cycles where I have a very clear temp increase after O. This one was over 0.8 degrees up.

  • Welcome, @annanbby
@inthewoods23 I'm sorry for your colleague's loss and I also understand how overwhelming it would be for you to have to hold down the fort for two weeks unexpectedly. Sending you lots of zen! Unrelated, nice timing and glad you've got a clear chart!
Apparently all of us in TWW right now O'd on Friday - how random.

    Month/Cycle: 1/1

    CD/DPO: 23/3

    Timing: -3, -2, +1

    Typical LP length: 10

Testing: No plans. This is my first month off BC so I'm really not sure what to expect for LP. Also, our timing wasn't great so not feeling like I want to test.

R/R: Rave- I ovulated! Rant- our timing could have been better. It's only month one though so not getting too discouraged, just *very* aware of my AMA.

CS/Q: I had a nice clear O shift, too, which is so satisfying. But I used OPKS and got nothing! Like not even close to a similar line color and I was consistent with time of day. I have only used them once before and got two positives that cycle so thought it would totally work again. Feeling a bit frustrated at them and now I know not to pay too much attention to them; I'll stick to a schedule so we (hopefully) improve timing next month.
