Preterm labor scare

Hi mommas! I am 30 weeks pregnant with my third kiddo and up until this past week, have never had any pregnancy complications. Last week, I went to the hospital with strong, painful contractions and ended up dilating from 0 to 2 cm so the doctors put me on Procardia to stop the contractions and then Magnesium as well (not fun!). I got transferred to a specialty hospital in case I was going to have to give birth that early and was given steroid injections to help baby if needed. My contractions ended up slowing and I didn’t dilate anymore, and they said my cervix was still long so I got discharged home after two days of meds and then observation. I am on modified bed rest now, and have pills to take if contractions start back up. Has anyone experienced this similarly? How long were you able to keep baby in before they just decided to come out?? Thank I for any advice! I also did have RSV apparently so it could’ve sent me into labor but they don’t know for sure.
