    I feel I’m having a very one note pregnancy that can be described with one word: nausea. So sorry for being boring on this board. My SIL and MIL made me a snack basket full of carbs that I can dig around in with a mindless claw while I’m curled in the fetal position in a dark room trying not to vomit.

    Peanut butter cracker sandwiches, graham crackers, applesauce pouches, and Honey Nut Cheerios. 

    When I’m doing better, baked potatoes and frozen cheese pizza works. I tried sneaking some tiny chopped up broccoli into some plain pasta, and it all came back like a boomerang.

    Both urgent care doctor and my OB want me drinking Pedialyte, which I make in big batches with the cheaper powdered version. Orange is the only palatable Pedialyte flavor, but sometimes I treat myself with lemon lime Gatorade.

    I feel like I’m just eating whatever strikes me. Normally I’m a “cook everything from scratch” kind of mom but once I’m pregnant all bets are off. The premade meals at Costco and takeout are my bffs right now. I’ve managed eggs all the way through, thankfully, but anything else I have to cook is pretty much automatically out the window. 

    I feel really bad because there are a few things in my fridge I need to cook or prep/preserve some other way but the thought alone of raw chicken is just... it’s too much. Oh also I’ve been doing a lot of fruit smoothies lately. I can handle salads but no cooked vegetables really. 

    I’d say my biggest draw right now is any kind of breaded chicken. Chicken nuggets, chicken strips, chicken sandwiches... like if I don’t have to cook it pretty much any chicken is fine I guess but something about that crispy crunchy outside is just calling my name. So weird.

  • I was hitting the carbs and sugar pretty hard and now I am in trouble…my A1C showed up high (still under 6.5). So now I have to have a glucose screen today…what a nightmare. I didn’t expect that it would affect me this fast for this pregnancy, no issues with my last 2 and I ate a lot of sugar and carbs.

    Careful with the carbs and sugar!!!

  • I have been surviving on the frozen Costco Chicken Bakes. This kid is going to come out looking like a chicken bake  :D Also quesadilla's are my pre bed time snack.

  • Give me ALL the carbs. Literally, all breads, cookies, and pastas have been my jam, which is totally different from the way I was trying to eat healthfully pre-pregnancy! 🤦🏻‍♀️ 🤷🏻‍♀️ Breakfast is usually a smoothie that I stuff kale and beet juice into to disguise in my only tolerable veggie servings for the day. Lunch and dinner is whatever I can stomach— usually almond butter toast and/or hummus is my go-to.

  • Add me to the card-carrying Carb Club. Noodles, bread, Cheerios, mostly. And rice. I’ve managed to still make varying meals for DH and DD6, so they’re not stuck eating whatever weird thing I’m craving. Last night’s dinner for me was a layer of Tostitos with shredded cheddar cheese baked on top. I had to restrain myself from eating more than one mini pan of it.

  • I basically am surviving on pumpkin bread? It seems to be the only thing I can really tolerate. It's mostly carb, but it's moist so I don't get screwed by my dry mouth. 

    I am fully lactose intolerant this pregnancy, so that's miserable. In second tri once I'm confident this nausea is done, I'm going to try lactaid. DD3's allergists want me to eat dairy at least 3x/week for allergy prevention reasons, so I have to figure out something.

  • @hoosiermamajayden right there with you on the breaded chicken! It’s pretty much the only protein I can handle right now. 

    Not sure about what I am eating… but I can tell you I’m definitely NOT eating the chili I made that’s been in the slow cooker all day. The smell almost drove me out of the house today.

  • @doxiemoxie212 H is very intolerant as well.  Can you handle aged cheese? Also, Lactaid ice cream might be tolerable before a glass of milk. Lactase tablets are super easy, too, if you want to eat cake with buttercream frosting as your dairy.
  • @loveanddatadriven it's new with this pregnancy, so I have no idea. I'm not willing to test anything right now with this first tri nausea, but second tri I will do some experiments. 
  • Well last night I was like yeah I need a wedge salad and loaded baked potato right away. Ordered from Flemings for $40.  By the time it got here I was like nahh 🤣

  • Not me forcing my husband to go to one restaurant (for me and him) and my mom to go to another (for her and DD3) to both pick up takeout so that we can all eat dinner tonight without me wanting to die from smells....

  • My cravings have started to shift a bit. Before it was all the carbs. Now its COLD things, but not sugary like ice cream. Which basically leaves me with fruit. Last night at 9:30, I ordered an Acai bowl with fresh fruit on top and it was EXACTLY what I needed. yum yum!

  • Smoothies with tons of strawberry.
    Hard boiled eggs.
    On bad days I drink broth and eat crackers.

  • @loveanddatadriven the constant nausea boat is sh*t and I'm right there with you.

    Cheddar jack cheeseits have saved me. Drinking water is even hard so I'm dehydrated. I've gotten a couple IVs from a mobile IV company and the next day I feel nomal so I eat veggies and real food and drink water. Once the IV meds and hydration wears off I'm eating as much of a bagel as possible again.

  • +1 for carbs in all varieties. Current favorites are blueberry bagels with copious amounts of cream cheese, bagel bites because I'm still a child on the inside, macaroni and cheese, and also fresh berries with whipped cream. 

    Meat other than steak and pepperonis is a hard no right now.

  • Tonight I microwaved leftover rice/quinoa blend and mixed it with a pouch of salmon, a spoonful of Mayo, and a little bit of lemon juice. So random but exactly what I needed! 😅

  • I’m lucky I’m not really sick… except that especially in the afternoon/evening anything I make myself grosses me out. I definitely want to eat all carbs but have been forcing myself to get as much protein as I can handle. Today DS2 and I went to the park and I was ravenous for lunch at 10:30 in the morning so we went and got BK - an impossible whopper for me which I devoured. For dinner I made risotto, bruschetta and shrimp (and a schwarma beef for DS2 and H) and I struggled to eat much. Then I was starving and made a half grilled cheese and had a little ice cream. Now I’m hungry again already and it’s been 90 minutes 😅

  • I wish I could eat unhealthy stuff - unhealthy stuff is way easier to come by. It makes me feel like I want to lay down and die when I eat it though. It feels like all I can eat are salads.

  • Strawberry milkshakes. I craved them in my first pregnancy but it wasn't that bad. I could live without it if I didn't have one. Today I had anxiety because I needed one.

  • I was actually able to stomach hard boiled eggs for breakfast! So excited because I definitely need more protein in the morning and scrambled just wasn't happening.

  • Yesterday I stopped by our favorite Mexican restaurant for queso and tortillas. Best snack decision ever!

  • I'm eating everything in sight! Baby L is hunnngry! I'm eating small meals and snacks throughout the day and I can't keep up. I am trying to stay healthy, but I definitely have had plenty of carbs these last few weeks. I'm craving hard bread, like toast or french bread.

    I had a BLT the other night with a juicy tomato - it was heaven! Last night, I made mushroom soup from scratch and everything french bread - also heaven. I am fully expecting to eat tons of soup (with bread) this fall as this seems to sound real good to baby.

  • @legallullabies BLT with tomato sounds delicious. I used to chug down tomato soup with both of my first pregnancies. I’m still on the sick train but hoping to get on the soup train soon 🤞

  • EVERYTHING. My pregnant self is eating everything right now. All of a sudden today, it hit me like a wall, and I have been starving ALL day, no matter how much I eat! 😅 I will totally take this over the never ending nausea I’ve had up until now!

    Omg yes!! My stomach is GROWLING. Currently standing over the sink eating leftover Domino’s like a monster.

    I was also super tired last night after eating all day, went to bed at 8:30 pm. Must have been a growth spurt or something.

  • Was super craving that breaded chicken I’ve been hankering for lately. Husband wanted wings so we ordered half boneless/half traditional and he went and picked some up from this place everyone raves about. He’s been there and loves it but I’d never been so I was excited to try.

    Maybe it’s just because we got takeout but I wasn’t impressed. I mean, they were ok. I tried both. But not what I was expecting for being everyone’s favorite chicken wing, if that makes sense. #disappointed

  • I should not be allowed in the grocery store with no supervision. 50% of what I bought today was snacks-mini chocolate chip cookies, pop tarts, cheese and crackers, snack yogurts. Carby or fruity snacks are all I can do easily.
