R/R: we had such a good day yesterday but it went by way too fast. We had to go in the morning and pick up our 4 wheeler from my family’s cabin to take it in to get yearly maintenance. I also got to pick my garden some more and got 2 more tiny pumpkins and a bunch of tomatoes! Then we sat home to watch the football game and my cousin came over. My MIL made corn beef and cabbage, and mh made chicken wings and fried green tomatoes so I ate entirely way too much! But it was just a nice day. 

CS/Q: the past 2 nights my bedrooms been warm and I’ve been waking up sweating. Surely that accounts for the higher temps. I’ve also been sleeping like crap because my backs been killing me.

@acleverusername (catching up from yesterday) It was a rock festival. It was a lot of fun but I definitely cannot do it that often. I’m glad I took today off work!

R/R: I’m fantasizing about a change in career today. I don’t know what to, but I’m fairly certain I could find something that brings me more joy. I have ten years of beverage alcohol production experience. Surely that skill set is good for something.

CS/Q: Getting an ultrasound today. It’s really the only other thing that obgyn said we could do right now. The music festival provided a good distraction during the TWW. I think I will actually make it to Thursday without testing. Unless of course AF comes, which I’m kind of expecting at this point. Even my symptom spotting brain has seen no symptoms to speculate on. Granted all I can feel currently is neck pain from the head banging debacle 😅

@paytonpedro Sounds like a fantastic Sunday to me! I've been meaning to ask: what kind of 4x4 do you have?  My new obsession is getting a small camper so that we can migrate off tent-camping. Lol. And we're hopefully going to get an SUV today, that already has a trailer hitch. 

@pinkkillersheep the mere mention of your sore neck from headbanging is giving me a sore neck. Lol. I don't think I could do that at 38. Have you been fantasizing about career change for a while? I would say any production/operation environment would be thrilled with the expertise you could bring to the table. Btw, what are you getting the ultrasound for?

Just waiting for AF here, so that I can get my calendar for next egg retrieval. 

But I did have a great weekend. Super productive and fun too. Lots of dog park time, as you saw from the post to Randoms. Also went to farmer's market yesterday. And I think we _might_ be buying a car today (used). We came to an agreement with the seller over the weekend, but it's easy to see that he's really sad about letting it go (probably his wife is making him). So, I'm hesitant to say we've bought it until we are actually driving away in it.

@pinkkillersheep oooo I'm interested to hear what career shift you'd want to take. Beverage alcohol productions sounds very fun! But I say that because I am a craft beer snob haha.

Testing: FF predicted AF this past Saturday and Premom is predicting tomorrow. I tested on Friday with BFN. I feel AF coming so just waiting. I'll test on Wednesday if nothing 

R/R: Way too many rants to share. I will keep it positive instead.

Wednesday was our 2nd wedding anniversary! It was okay, we didn't do much of anything special - a nice grilled meal at home, beer and apple cider mimosas, dessert, scary movie. We have been together for 8.5 years and had to delay our wedding (can't elaborate here) and we never got a honeymoon. We were moving states last year during our anniversary so we were couldn't celebrate then either. I'm just longing for a "proper" celebration. Oops, that was supposed to be positive haha! I love good food, good beer, and cannoli's so I very much enjoyed our at home celebration!  

CS/Q: none right now. I'm finding that I am not temping starting after a couple of days DPO. Is this typical or am I just lazy? haha

@jellie603 Congrats on anniversary #2! MH and I got married just before Covid started (Feb 2020), and we opted for a tiny immediate-family only celebration because we were planning on doing multiple celebrations with our friends in various cities. Of course, that never happened. And we didn't have a honeymoon either, so I totally hear you on wanting a proper celebration. There's always the Monday B*tchfest thread; you can be negative all you want there! 

Re: temping, it's not at all unusual to stop temping after 3-4DPO. In fact, a lot of ppl opt to do it for the peace of mind. Reading into every bbt peak and dip in LP is anxiety-provoking.

@paytonpedro I love all the snacks and comfort food that come along with football season! Fall is my absolute favorite!
@pinkkillersheep I'm glad you had run at the rock festival, but sorry about the sore neck! I am too old for that  I'd be out of commission for a week! LOL. 
@acleverusername What kind of car? Buying a new-to-you car is always so exciting. I hope you are able to go through with it. 
@jellie603 I feel you on the not celebrating even when you want to. Next month will be our 4th anniversary and I have already started trying to convince DH to go on a trip for our 5th. Sounds like the celebration that you did have was sweet, so I am glad you enjoyed it!

Testing: Way to early just yet, but knowing myself, it won't be much longer before I start. 

R/R: This weekend was busy and tiring, but good. It was so nice to see my family on Sunday and pay tribute to my Grandpa. Yesterday the weather was such that we could open the windows without sweating to death and it was such a nice change. I love having the cool fall breeze come through while eating all the things and watching football.

@tessiesmom26 glad to hear you had a good time honoring your Grandpa. And hooray for open-window weather (which is basically all the time here in SF, but I celebrate others being able to do this.) We're looking to pick up a 2011 Range Rover. Those cars lose their value so quick, so it's essentially affordable luxury. And this was has been meticulously maintained.

@tessiesmom26 fall and food are my two favorite F words! Open window season is really the best time of year though! I’m so glad that you also had such a good weekend!

@jellie603 congratulations on your 2nd wedding anniversary!! A nice laid back evening at home is sometimes so nice though! Although I hope you get your proper celebration (and honeymoon!!) in the nearer future! To answer your question, I don’t always temp past the 3dpo that ff wants to confirm ovulation. It just becomes fancy symptom spotting IMO at that point lol. But alas, here I am 8dpo and still temping. 

@pinkkillersheep 10 years in beverage alcohol production 100% sounds like a valuable skill!! Is that what you’re thinking about moving into? Maybe a microbrewery? I hope the ultrasound gives you all the answers you’re looking for and that, especially, it comes back perfect!

@acleverusername we have a Polaris sportsman 570. It gets the job done. Lol. Good luck getting your suv with a hitch today!! That’s exciting! 🤞🏼🤞🏼 Crossing everything that it works out!! Having a trailer is so, so nice! But also will literally be the death of me. Ours is way too big and moving it will give me a heart attack one day. Just thinking about moving it gives me heart palpitations. Definitely start small. Haha. I’m glad that you also had a great weekend, and again, those corgi pics were so friggin cute!!! This is all I think about every time you mention her. Lol

@paytonpedro @jellie603 @acleverusername I’m not totally sure what I want to get into. Part of me wants to get out of manufacturing altogether. It’s been a good career for me and I take a lot of pride seeing what I make on the shelf of stores and bars. But it’s also really draining. Demands are constant and it wears people out. I’m wondering if maybe I could get into operations management for a non-profit. I think the MBA could make my resumé a little more attractive for it. I have a long term dream of disaster relief emergency management, so that could take me in a step that direction.

@acleverusername The ultrasound was just to check things out after my appointment last week. I asked the nurse a million questions to which she kept politely saying she can’t give results, they have to come from the doctor. So more waiting until that happens. Good luck with the car purchase!
@tessiesmom26 I am definitely too old for this now! Glad you had a nice memorial for your Grandpa, sounds like the perfect Sunday. I miss getting to watch football with the family. And the Browns are finally worth watching!
