WAYDTGKU: RI consultation, gf/df diet, supplements, bbt, opks

R/R: I'm officially sick of severe thunderstorms. A lightning strike took out the GFCI our aquarium was plugged in to which ended up causing water to overflow onto the carpet. Thank freaking God I was home or else we'd have 300+ gallons of water all over the floor. So I'm off to a great start this week! Hopefully the consultation with the RI tomorrow brings the week back to a good week.

R/R: woke up with back pain again, ugh. Had a productive chat with my mom about some of our financial stress, so I feel a little bit better about that end of things. Still waiting on one of my textbooks, it's SUPPOSED to arrive today, and it better, because the Kindle preview of the book ended with last week's chapter lol.

CS/Q: I should proooooobably remember to take my temperature in the morning. Been too distracted by my back recently. At least it's early enough in the cycle that it doesn't matter yet.

@fantasyflyte yes all the fish are okay 🙂. The tank is 3ft cube and the water level dropped by an inch into the sump/filter system underneath. If I had shut the valves maybe 30 seconds sooner we likely wouldn't have had any overflow. It's not the first time it's happened. Hope your textbook comes ASAP!

@inthewoods23 I’m glad the fish are ok! But that sounds like a mess to clean up, sorry! What kind of fish do you have?
@fantasyflyte I’m sorry our back is hurting you! Have you tried anything like a Chiro?

@anniemarie887 clean up turned out okay. Only soaked 3 bath towels and we've had fans blowing on the carpet plus some dehumidifiers

We have long eared sunfish

We've also got a red eared slider turtle.

The turtle came first. We've had her for just about as long as we've been dating (14 years this past Thursday!). When we upgraded from a 125 gallon tank to a 300+ gallon tank DH wanted to seascape it like the ozarks where these turtles can be found so he chose a sunfish that you would naturally see in the same habitat.

@inthewoods23 ok that’s so cool! We had a big aquarium when I was a kid, unsure how many gallons, and I mostly remember the angelfish. It was freshwater.
