@hgsurvivor depends. Lately no 🙈 lol but I do enjoy them when it's not dark AF outside.

I've noticed I've been more sensitive emotionally lately which must have something to do with it.

@inthewoods23 did you have to go outside to disable it? Or could you do it from inside. Sounds scary! I like TSs but in moderation. When they get too crazy, I get scared.

@acleverusername nope I can disable it from the app by turning Sentry Mode off. First time it's happened with my car though so I wasn't sure if I did it right and had to check (which thankfully just required looking out a window with the car right out front cuz it was POURING).

I came home for lunch and DH asked if the car was scared lol.

Need recommendations for well-written trashy reads. I just finished Sex and Vanity (by the same author who wrote Crazy Rich Asians) and it was so trashy, and to be honest, not particularly well written, but I'll take it. This is for winding down at the end of the day before I go to bed. TIA!

@acleverusername i feel like we may have different definitions of trash, but if you want straight trash I just read Holly Madison’s book and I thought it was so interesting. I wouldn’t call it well written but she obviously had a good editor because it wasn’t too bad. Then I made the mistake of moving on to Kendra Wilkinson’s book next and want to pull my hair out

@acleverusername Oh friend, trashy reads are the name of my game! Tell me more about what you liked about the Kevin Kwan book - was it the setting, the romance, the characters being wealthy elite people? That determines what I recommend! Do you want anything mystery related or no? 

Also, I asked @bows22 and she said no one would mind if I crashed the party because books are my THING, but if so please let me know!!

Anyone watching anything good on Netflix/amazon prime/hbo max? We just finished Clickbait on Netflix. We are also watching naked and afraid but the 'finding love' version.....lol. We like watching nonsense on weeknights before bed. I feel like we have watched everything!

@acleverusername Excellent! My first recommendation is "Wait For It" by Jenn McKinlay, it's new and pretty popular this summer. I also would recommend most of Taylor Jenkins Reid's novels - start with The 7 Husbands of Evelyn Hugo, then Daisy Jones and the Six, then her new release Malibu Rising. (They all exist in the same "universe" so it's pretty fun to realize that characters in Malibu Rising call back to the previous 2 books, although they all stand alone.) 

Then I always recommend Kristen Ashley if you like romance at all - she has a massive backlist and multiple series. I would start with either the Dream Man or Colorado Mountain series.

@mvt2003 @acleverusername going back to different definitions of trash, Taylor Jenkins Reid is “quality” reading to me 😂. But definitely all easy reads and well written. I’ve liked everything I’ve read of hers.

@bows22 @acleverusername I completely agree, TJR is not really "trashy" - however, I decided a LONG time ago to stop qualifying the fun romantic books I read as "guilty pleasures" or "trashy" because that's just shaming my own taste. I literally stopped using my "guilty pleasures" shelf I created on Goodreads in 2016 when I realized that I was shelving almost every book there. #yolo
