  • What number are you trying for? #3

    Month/Cycle? 4/3AL

WTO/TWW? Not sure. Right at the cusp.

    Ages of other child(ren)? 5 & 3

Any thoughts about this cycle? Not great. I’m likely out this cycle. I always, always, always ovulate cd15 and I’m not sure what’s going on here. My opks got dark but not quite as dark as the control line and then went down again. And my temps are all over the place. And I’m on a medication I shouldn’t ttc on, but it ended yesterday. So if I ovulated on track I would have been able to try.

    Any questions? Nada

Rant/Rave? My 5yo starts kindergarten tomorrow! 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 It’s fine. I’m fine. Everything’s fine. He’s been wild these past few weeks and I think it might be the stress of starting school even though he’s super duper excited. I’m just hoping he reigns it in tomorrow!!! I’m sad because I’ve had to yell at him and put him in time out more than normal. I’m like dang kid, we have xx amount of days left and this is how we’re going to spend it??? My 3yo is a follower and it’s been a circus here.

GTKY: What’s something you swore you’d never do when you had kids, that you now in fact do?

There’s obviously a bunch. But with the big things, I’ve stuck to my guns. I let them have sugar (candy/sweets) more than I thought I would. I let them stay up later than most parents (because my husband works so late). Uh, I swear sometimes.

  • What number are you trying for? #2

    Month/Cycle? 10/1AL

    WTO/TWW? WTO/Benched for a cycle

Ages of other child(ren)? 20 mos

Any thoughts about this cycle? i'll just be here waiting for AF to arrive **TW loss -- the bleeding and cramping from the CP seems to have stopped, i know it can pop back up... so just ya know, waiting **end TW

    Any questions? NATM

Rant/Rave? emotions are just wonky, obviously got very excited, have zero regrets about the friends we told - all people who are amazingly supportive and have walked through all of this before me. my parents have had our daughter since thursday, it's our 9th wedding anniversary tomorrow, so we always take LDW to celebrate and it was nice, but obviously a little tinged. we almost cancelled our trip, and in reality i'm glad we didn't, sitting at home would've left me far too much time w/my emotions.

GTKY: What’s something you swore you’d never do when you had kids, that you now in fact do? oh i swore no screen time before 2... and then ya know, WFH/pandemic/no childcare. oops. i'm sure there are many other smaller things, but that's always the big one to me.

@paytonpedro how did kindergarten drop off go? are you home w/just the 3yo now? i hope everyone is having a great, and calmer, day!

Month/Cycle? In limbo for a bit

    WTO/TWW? Benched

    Ages of other child(ren)? 4

Any thoughts about this cycle? Just sitting tight waiting for follow-up bloodwork and hopefully a prompt AF.

    Any questions? Nope

Rant/Rave? I’m so sick of waiting. I want to be present in my life today and excited about things happening right now, but I just constantly feel like I’m waiting. I wish I could just turn the TTC part of my brain off for a few weeks (at least) but it seems impossible not to think about. I don’t think it affects my DH in the same way and that also irritates me, haha. Stupid men always getting the easy job.

GTKY: What’s something you swore you’d never do when you had kids, that you now in fact do?

Make specific food for the kid. I always swore I wouldn’t make separate food at dinner for the kiddo, but then I of course birthed the pickiest eater (sensory issues) I have ever met. Hooray for grilled cheese and peanut butter!

@paytonpedro I just filled out some kindergarten applications for next year, it’s so hard to believe how quickly it sneaks up. Hope the first day goes great!

@anniemarie887 I’m glad you were still able to go on your trip despite everything. Hope you all had some good time together.

  • @paytonpedro hope your little has a great first day of kindergarten!!

@anniemarie887 I'm so sorry for your loss. I'm glad you and YH had some time together.

@abjm0325 it is super hard to take your mind off of TTC. I also have a picky eater and my rule is always that they have to try everything and if they don't eat it then all they can have is PB&J. It's so hard!

What number are you trying for? 3

    Month/Cycle? 3/3

    WTO/TWW? WTO

Ages of other child(ren)? 7 and almost 3

Any thoughts about this cycle? well we are starting prep for a FET cycle so I don't even think we'll be really TTC this cycle

    Any questions? Nope

Rant/Rave? My almost 3 yo is starting preschool tomorrow!! She's been asking to go to school since her older sister went back in person last year so I know she's going to love it. Just hard to believe she is old enough for school already!

GTKY: What’s something you swore you’d never do when you had kids, that you now in fact do? All the screen time. Going through a pandemic with two small kids at home, one of whom was doing school on zoom, plus working third shift and doing nursing school online while my teacher hubby tried to teach from home led to the girls being on screens WAY more than they ever had been before. Thankfully, my little one seems to have learned all of her letters, numbers, and colors from YouTube so I guess it wasn't the worst thing?

  • @anniemarie887 he starts tomorrow but I’m sure my day will be much quieter!! Yes, just me and the 3yo tomorrow! I’ll be sure to update. I’m glad you decided to go on your vacation, I’m sure it helped to take your mind off things a little. It’s so tough though. I’m so sorry. For me, once the bleeding and such stopped, that was it. So, I hope it’s similar for you.

@abjm0325 lol at “stupid men always getting the easy job”. Amen sister! I really just don’t think their brains work the same way and I definitely don’t think they feel things the same way we do. I’m sorry you feel like you’re always waiting. I feel pretty similarly, not just with ttc, but with life in general. All while here we are sending our baby to school. Ugh. Time really does go by fast! You’ll blink and be sending yours next year. It’s crazy.

@shortstack930 thank you!!! I hope yours have good first days as well!! So cute that your 3yo was begging to go to school!! Mine thought he was going too, because he does everything big brother does, but they got rid of the 3yo program a couple years back (which I am totally ok with) so I get another year with him!! It will also be nice to have some alone time with just him.

  • @paytonpedro I hope drop off went well and you survived the day!

@anniemarie887 I feel you on being happy that you told the people you told. DH and I went back and forth about telling our parents back in May and I am so happy I told mine because the day I went in for the confirmation US DH was working so my mom brought me. I would have been that much more devastated if I had to do it alone. I'm all for having the support of those you love. Sending healing thoughts your way.

@abjm0325 I hear you on it being so different for us and the men. TTC is a constant thought for me, and DH is barely ever thinking about it.

@shortstack930 How exciting about starting preschool! My little guy is starting next month and I am already having all the feelings about it, so I can't imagine the night before feelings! I hope she loves it!!

What number are you trying for? #2

    Month/Cycle? 2/2AL

WTO/TWW? I believe yesterday or today is O so right in the middle, waiting for confirmation.

Ages of other child(ren)? Little man is going to be 3 next month

Any thoughts about this cycle? So this cycle started off so wonky with a mysterious period. I had all the signs of AF with no blood. I should have called the OB but I got crazy busy at work and didn't make it a priority. Maybe this is a FFWC but I feel like if it wasn't a period then we have no harm in DTD. The other half of me feels it was irresponsible, so I am internally torn.

    Any questions? Nope

Rant/Rave? I am almost out of the woods on my busy time at work and I couldn't be happier to see a little glimmer of light towards the end of the tunnel.

GTKY: What’s something you swore you’d never do when you had kids, that you now in fact do? Count me in for screen time guilt. Every time I want to reign it back my speech delayed guy says a new word or phrase from what he is watching and then I want him to keep it up.

  • @shortstack930 I hope the first day of preschool is a great one!
  • @tessiesmom26 Do you think you're just in the middle of a really long cycle? I assume you have tested and gotten BFNs? Sorry, I can't remember what all you updated previously. So mysterious!
  • @abjm0325 That is a possibility for sure, since this is the second (first?) cycle after my TW* MC/D&C *TW. Based on BBT, CM, OKPs I O'd a few weeks back, after my typical LP I had heavy cramping, temp drops, tender breasts, PMS, but no bleeding. Now I am back to BBT, CM, and OKPs and it's indicating that O is yesterday or today. So if it is a really long cycle, then it's also one with double O. It's all kind of confusing.

  • @shortstack930 I hope the first day of preschool goes well! so man cute little kiddos heading off!
@tessiesmom26 hmm no advice or experience with that, but i do know what it's like to kind of put yourself last on the to do list! don't beat yourself up about it!
  • Drop off was today and I teared up a little but haven’t actually cried. I totally could though. He was excited and didn’t even care that I was leaving. 😭😭😭 The dog is looking all over the house for him. Ugh. I feel like a piece of me is missing. It’s currently very quiet in here.

@tessiesmom26 et al; screen time is tough but I sounds like it’s helping your little dude. I know there are better options that are more educational and I didn’t/don’t feel guilty in the slightest putting it on for them so I could get a chore done.
  • I know several of us have kiddos starting school this week. My 5yo son would’ve gone into K this year but being a summer baby we decided to let him enjoy one more year at the nature preschool he basically missed all through COVID shut down. Honestly I feel like all kids could benefit from a do-over. Anyway.

How did your kiddos do their first days?

Mine was all super excited until the night before when he realized mh and I weren’t going to school with him. The last time he went to school he was 3. So obviously it’s like he had forgotten the concept. I sucked at homeschooling.

When we picked him up he was happy and said he had a good day. Then he was moody the rest of the day. I think it was a lot to process. Social isolation and then suddenly 11 other kids and 2 adults. All big changes and unexpected big emotions.

I was expecting MY emotions, but forgot to take his into account. Thankfully hubs stayed home with me today and it made the big transition easier. Plus then we got to have the morning all to ourselves! I said “I want to watch the least family friendly movie we own (without going full porn 😂). A totally scary inappropriate thriller.” Needless to say we barely watched the movie. Ha! At least fw is starting.
      Anniversary

  • @hgsurvivor My 4YO goes to school three days a week, but was off with me this summer. It was definitely an adjustment for all of us when she went back! I hope your DS (and the rest of the family) settle into the new schedule soon.
