Holy lighting crotch last couple days. Like makes me stop and wince. I can tell my uterus moved right up behind my belly button so the round ligament pain on the sides has slow thankfully.

Carpal tunnel is coming back 😩😩😩 and I feel like I don’t know where to put my arms when I’m sleeping, my shoulder is jacked, my elbow is jacked, the carpal tunnel is back yeesh
@livingoffpbjs - I had awful carpel tunnel last time. You need to keep those wrists straight when you sleep. I had that double sided pregnancy pillow so I could back sleep with my arms on each side and eventually needed to wrap or splint my wrists at night - it helped so much.

@lexilougolden this is such a time of being like "huh, that's a new/weird/painful sensation, probably pregnancy related" lol. do you think it's a shoe/sole support thing?
My right hip keeps hurting and feeling like it’s going to pop. But never does. Then feels better after a while and I forget about it only to be painfully reminded the next time it happens…
@chgilmore I don't think so, I work from home at a desk. Not on my feet much at all. Or at least nothing has changed in my lifestyle in the last year other than less exercise and being pregnant 😄
@JWatt5 I thought we were supposed to sleep on our sides while pregnant? I am usually a side sleeper but ive noticed waking up on my back a lot like my body wants me to sleep on my back. Ill check with the doc tomorrow
@livingoffpbjs there are lots of positions we can sleep in! one of the prenatal classes I took showed us how to do like an elevated/supported back sleep that basically works like how @JWatt5 describes.
@livingoffpbjs - You can back sleep as long as not all the pressure is straight on your back. There's an artery or vessel along your right side the like you to avoid compressing. But you can do that sleeping in an elevated position.

@ohsunnydays2 - just enough to have your mid to lower back not laying flat, is supported. Propping your right side up as little as 10-15 degrees prevents compression of the vena cava.

@JWatt5 so you elevate your right side? Like put a flattish pillow under the right side of you? My terrible sciatic pain is towards the left of my tailbone so im wondering if this will make it worse. Im a hot mess hahahaha
@livingoffpbjs I sleep with one of those U shaped pregnancy pillows and have the right side of my back resting on the pillow. Kind of like midway between being on my back and on my side. Way more comfortable than being totally on my side for me but still propped up a little bit and my back feels nice and supported!
Exactly what @kaf1788 said. You just need to make sure some of the pressure is off your right side so you are compressing the vessel. I stick a pillow just under my right side and then one between my legs. Eventually one will go at the left side of my belly. Lol

@angelz429 Yay!! Baby was kicking lots internally yesterday too. I was lying in bed waiting for DH to come up and watch TV with me last night and felt the baby kick from the outside for the first time! Once he came up I had him keep his hand on my belly, and there were a couple of kicks I thought he might be able to feel, but he couldn't. My first son was SO shy lol--DH almost never felt kicks because DS1 would just freeze up lol.
MH has been able to feel her kick once despite the fact that she's moving all. the. time. Every time I say "she's at it again" and he comes over to feel, she stops. He's started calling it their first game lol.
The headaches have been INTENSE for me this weekend. I feel awful because my husband has had to take care of my toddler and everything else in the house while I lie in bed and feel bad for myself. Anyone found anything that actually works? It feels sinus related so I’ve been taking antihistamines and Tylenol regularly which just barely takes the edge off. Just bought some magnesium and a blood pressure monitor because I’m freaked out about pre-eclampsia (which I don’t think is actually a thing that happens at 19 weeks? But if there’s something to worry about I will.)
@kaf1788 these pregnancy headaches and migraines are the WORST. I'm sorry you're going through it. What helps me is taking a hot shower and strapping an ice pack to my head (no joke, it looks ridiculous but it allows me to function). I've ~heard~ you can start to feel some pre eclampsia symptoms about this early, but like everything else in pregnancy, pretty much every sign and symptom can just be something else. Definitely check with your medical team!
@kaf1788 I never use the pack it comes with, it thaws too fast! I just wrap a regular old ice pack (yes, the big ones!) in a dish towel and stick it next to my head, then wrap the Velcro strap around it. it's extra ridiculous but it lasts basically all day or all night.
