This thread is for support and questions around spotting/bleeding.
❤️
Conversations surrounding these issues can be discussed here freely. The TW in the title applies for the whole thread. Please beware of reading ahead if you think you might be triggered by conversations about spotting/bleeding.
Finally, remember that most of us are not medical professionals, and even if we were, it's always best to call/visit your doctor with questions or concerns. Feel free to ask questions and voice concerns, but please do not expect anyone here to be able to offer you anything but support. The most important thing to do is to call your doctor. They can offer answers; we can offer support.

Re: ***TW*** Spotting/Bleeding/Threatened Loss Support Thread
Selfishly starting a little for me... when I put in my progesterone today there were a few very light brown spots on the applicator when I pulled it out. I took it super late today and I was a lot less nauseous the last couple of days. I know it's probably just irritation of some sort, and it's not enough for a phone call to the doctor, but it is (coupled with taking it late and the symptoms) enough for me to be freaking out. My next appt is not for another 3 weeks...
Glad it was light spotting and it stopped, it’s a great sign. I spotted after sex with my last 2 pregnancies in first trimester, it’s just sensitive down there.

We also have why they think is a vanishing twin (smaller sac, no yolk or fetal pole) and I'm not sure how I feel about that. She was also not worried about this having a negative effect on the surviving one. We only transferred one embryo so it must have split. Anyone have experience with this?

@Ivorytower2 No idea, maybe? Trying to keep positive since HR was >100. Very similar to the scan I had a few weeks prior to my MMC though, so hard not to worry.
@knottiec0c2b15971dce393 I can’t imagine how hard this is. My heart goes out to you. ❤️
@knottiec0c2b15971dce393 I am so sorry. Praying for you♡
I thought I didn't have any superstition, but maternity clothes arrived in the mail today. Feels like I jinxed everything. Should have waited until after 13 wks to start believing this was real.

Also in IVF the chances of an embryo splitting are higher than in spontaneous pregnancies. In fact it’s about three times more likely - which doesn’t make it super likely still but is a significant increase. Apparently some factors that increase the likelihood of splitting include ICSI, assisted hatching, and just the transfer of a blastocyst stage embryo (something about maturing in the lab until day 5/6).
AFM we’ve been told it could go either way for both of them and will have another u/s on Thursday to see whether they are continuing to grow.
Thanks for the story about your friends survivor doing well. Hopefully all of our little nuggets will have done some catching up this by week.
