How far along are you?: 24+6 today, 25 weeks tomorrow!
Upcoming appointments: @ 28 weeks
How are you feeling?: I’m feeling rough physically. My lower back has been hurting so bad all week. I’ve also been peeing like 500x at night, and then sometimes it’s hard to go back to sleep. Emotionally I am finding myself triggered by social media lately. I feel like there are so many crazy unwanted things showing up in my feed (pregnancy loss, covid, vaccines, masks, politics, etc). I’ve thought about a short-term detox until I feel a little better about things. I finally got my first covid shot, and I was literally on the verge of tears walking to my car to leave because I was so scared and anxious. I have been doing research for months and genuinely feel good about the decision, but it still didn’t make it an easy one. Every feeling and twinge has me on edge. It also didn’t help that about 45 minutes after my arm started itching (very mild), only intermittently for about two hours. I also had a little bit of redness from the adhesive on the bandaid, so it might’ve been that and not the actual vaccine. I guess I’ll tell them next time just in case it matters. Aside from that, I strangely enough haven’t had any side effects except a sore arm. I just can’t wait to have the second one done already and for baby girl to be here in my arms. This has been a stressful pregnancy, but I am so grateful for my rainbow baby.
Rants/Raves: I think I ranted enough already 🤣
Questions: Can you still get round ligament pain at 24-25 weeks? I have this sore pulling spot on my right lower side along my gigantic bump. It mostly feels uncomfortable when I stand up or stretch it out. Ugh.
GTKY: What is your ideal morning routine? Quiet breakfast alone before everyone gets up and all the craziness starts. It would be even better if I didn’t have to wake up too early!
Upcoming appointments: Not until the 2nd week in September
How are you feeling?: Heartburn has returned in full force. Every. Single. Night. I wish there was a way to search the boards... What is everyone using for heartburn? I just did some Googling and pretty sure I've got SPD. I've got this pain in my pubic area. If I'm sitting still it's fine but if I move it hurts. Trying to stand up while putting pants on suuuucks. The pain feels familiar like I had it with my daughter but I don't remember what I did for relief. Anyone have any remedies that work?
Rants/Raves: My husband is going to Montana elk/mule deer hunting next month and I'm so ready for it to be here. We've done nothing but watch the hunting channel for the last month. We went shopping yesterday and listened to a podcast on the 45 minute drive home about elk calls. 🤦🏼♀️
Questions: Nothing other than someone to fix my issues as stated above 🤣
GTKY: What is your ideal morning routine? Sleeping till after 8am, and my 2 year old getting up and having some freaking patience about getting her breakfast!
@rpreston17 Ughh the heartburn. I think I might be having some SPD or SPD-like issues too. I have been trying to avoid triggers (carrying my daughter, I sit to put pants in, careful of how I walk up the stairs) and that seems to help some. My OB suggested a belly band, but I haven’t tried that yet.
@rpreston17 I'm sorry, but I'm cracking up thinking about a podcast on elk calls. Like I imagine it's just 45 minutes of animal sounds. But I get it because DH races cars and I end up watching/listening to a lot of car stuff. BORING.
How far along are you?: Almost 22 weeks
Upcoming appointments: Not until September 14
How are you feeling?: Pretty good. Randomly nauseous this last week though, which was not cool.
Rants/Raves: Neither of DH's sisters has gotten the covid vaccine yet and it's so frustrating. One is pregnant and I keep sending her articles on why she should get it. She said she's at least going to ask her doctor about it.
Questions:
GTKY: What is your ideal morning routine? Getting up and having coffee while reading a book and nobody talking to me.
I have been using Bump Tape (basically kinesiology tape) and it has helped my hips tremendously. I'm not wearing it today and already feeling achy. I hated the belly band but this I forget I have on.
@rpreston17 um those shows and podcasts sound..... fun....FX the days fly by and the trip is over before you know it.
@rgn12 hopefully having the shot helps you breathe a little easier. I know it has for me but I still worry about the kids.
@melbel0824 random bouts of nausea tend to be indigestion for me. It is aweful still. Hopefully his sisters come around soon.
How far along are you?: 25+2
Upcoming appointments: Not till Sept now
How are you feeling?: Tired. Feeling very pregnant lol.
Rants/Raves: Since we haven't told our families that we've picked a name, I bought these cute mugs for the grandmothers to "announce". I am soooo excited!!
As for rants, this weekend was a letdown. My parents got kicked out of the campground e a day early due to the hurricane so we didn't get to do that. Then stuck in the house with 2 kids ALL day yesterday.......yikes....
Questions:
GTKY: What is your ideal morning routine? One where I get up at my convenience and my house is peaceful. I can have coffee and eat when ok ready. I hate rushed, chaotic mornings (let's me real, I hate mornings regardless lol).
@rgn12- yay for the covid vaccine! i totally get the anxiety. But I am so glad you will be protected with Delta raging. I think you can def still get RLP this late! I feel like things are just going to get more uncomfortable. I thought second time would be easier (more "stretchy") but since i am bigger earlier, I am thinking i was wrong here haha.
@rpreston17- I have been taking pepcid for heartburn and my doc said that was fine!! Tums do nothing for me.
@MelBell829- would your SIL be willing to join the facebook group alot of us are in? its helpful to read all the experiences!!
@prpl11butterfly- mugs are so cute! will they get them after the birth??
How far along are you?: 24+5 today. Still wishing to fast forward to third tri and the end for many reasons
Upcoming appointments: Nothing until 28 weeks! gonna be another long 3.5 weeks. But after this I go every 2 weeks and then every week by 32 weeks. So I guess I should enjoy not going... but I do find more monitoring comforting for me.
How are you feeling?: Doing ok physically... uncomfortable if I eat too much. Mentally- its up and down. I have my moments of anxiety, but trying to manage it. Working on focusing on what I can control (see my question).
Rants/Raves: We announced on social media finally, sharing a video of our whole journey. The response has been amazing, as it was last time. Will def share with you all once we get to a private group or facebook
Questions: With my first, he was a premie with reflux so I exclusively pumped for 8 months. I had the spectra S1 and had a good experience. Since I am looking at another EP journey likely (since cardio babies have a hard time with weight gain and with the procedures right after birth), I've start researching pumps. I don't think i can justify the willow/Elvie for $375 (after insurance), as I would probably be able to sit down with my spectra usually... but i was thinking about the bellababy (for $60 on amazon with great reviews)... any experience with the hands free pumps you can share??
GTKY: What is your ideal morning routine? Sleeping in until 8am, having my toddler wake up happy, and then snuggle while waiting up the news/morning milk/breakfast bagel.
History in Spoiler

@JamieH2000 no, I can't make them wait. Lol. My mom's birthday is the 1st so she will get it for her birthday. MIL will get he's around the same time even though her birthday isn't until Oct. No idea on wearable pumps.... would the billabong bellababy be 60 OOP or in addition to insurance coverage? If OOP, I would get the S1 from insurance and then buy the other one.
@rgn12 Yes to getting RLP still. I feel like I'm a little more careful because I'm getting bigger and I'm used to getting up slowly because of RLP, but once in a while it still gets me. Today I went to do something quickly and I felt it.
@rpreston17 hope you get some heartburn and SPD relief. I know a lot of people try tums before moving on to other OTC meds for heartburn. I have GERD, so I'm on omeprazole every day regardless of pregnancy. No advice on the SPD, just sending sympathy because I've heard it's miserable.
@JamieH2000 I can't imagine how anxious I would be too. Sending you love.
How far along are you?: 23w2d
Upcoming appointments: Wednesday - just a normal appointment. I am not scheduled to do my glucose screening until 28 weeks. I've had GD with both my kiddos, so that seems super late to me. I'm going to ask if I can do it sooner, because I'm sure I'm going to fail. I'm a little overweight with PCOS to begin with, add my history of GD and it's pretty much a given I'll have it.
How are you feeling?: Pretty good. Just some sciatic pain and I think the prenatal workouts I've been doing have helped lessen it.
Rants/Raves: I am just so excited to meet this sweet baby. I've been very anxious this pregnancy about something being wrong with baby. I don't know if it's because I had another loss before this pregnancy (I had a loss before both my other successful pregnancies too) or if it's my age, or what. Hopefully after my ultrasound at 28 weeks checking on a couple things they couldn't measure at my anatomy scan I'll feel a little bit better.
Questions:
GTKY: What is your ideal morning routine? After sleeping all night (ha!) waking up slowly and eating a quiet breakfast while my boys play with each other.

@rgn12 I totally get feeling nervous about the vaccine. I think I felt sick after getting it from my anxiety alone but the next day I was totally fine. My second dose was a piece of cake. I also still get RLP a lot and I'm 26 weeks.
@mockingjay1 I am also having a lot of anxiety about this pregnancy. I went out and was buying some clothes for baby girl today and there was some really cute 6-9 month and 12 month outfits and at first I wasn't going to get them because my anxiety was creeping in but then thought no I'm going to get them because I like them and she will wear them eventually. I find thinking that way helps a little.
How far along are you?: 26 weeks
Upcoming appointments: in 2 weeks for 28
How are you feeling?: Good but it's HOT here and I don't have air conditioning. It goes in next Monday but in the meantime I'm very uncomfortable and have been getting headaches from the humidity.
Rants/Raves: I found a nice rocking chair off Marketplace that will go in the playroom and I can nurse baby girl in there while DS plays.
Questions: I know Sinus headaches are common in the 2nd trimester. Anyone get them? I have been battling them for about 2 weeks but I really think it's the weather since it's hotter then Hades here.
GTKY: What is your ideal morning routine? Waking up to a clean house after having a good nights sleep. Eating a yummy breakfast and sipping coffee while chatting with DS
@rgn12 - I feel you on the peeing constantly and not always getting back to sleep. I don’t recall it being this bad before but maybe that’s just my pregnancy brain lol.
@rpreston17 - I started taking Pepcid AC last week and oh my goodness it is AMAZING. Highly recommend.
@JamieH2000 - no idea on the pumps, I’m researching as well though so will def share any good info I find.
How are you feeling?: meh. Really good some days, really tired some days, really anxious some days, really thankful. Just feeling a lot of things! I usually really enjoy my pregnancies but am struggling a bit more this time around physically and emotionally. I think a lot of it might be due to *waves arms around wildly* lol. Trying to remain present and find joy where I can.
Rants/Raves: rant, I’m so tired of everyone pushing to open and move forward when (vaccinated!) people around me keep getting sick. I am back at work already but feeling more and more nervous about school reopening esp since my youngest can’t get vaccinated yet.
Questions: when are you starting maternity leave?
GTKY: What is your ideal morning routine? Wake up early (TO A CLEAN HOUSE lol), light a candle, meditate, stretch, read the paper and drink coffee and listen to some jazz. Take the dogs out for a walk or run alone. Make a leisurely breakfast, preferably something like coffee cake and fruit. Get the fam going and no one is hurried to eat or get dressed or leave. 💆♀️
@rpreston17 I've been using gaviscon liquid. It works pretty quickly and both my ENT (already have reflux) and OB said it was fine.
How far along are you?: 22 weeks
Upcoming appointments: AS yesterday with MFM then Sept 9 with my OB
How are you feeling?: Pretty good. I feel like I got pregnant overnight and my belly just popped.
Rants/Raves: I was diagnosed with GD at 14 weeks and we've been having difficulties finding the right insulin regime. After bottoming out 3 times last week (woke up to blood sugars in the 60s, missed work 1 of the days), MFM finally agreed to lower my dose and I feel so much better. Also LO recovered from RSV super quick so I'm happy about that.
Questions: Is anyone else due for the covid booster shot during pregnancy? Any thoughts or concerns?
GTKY: What is your ideal morning routine? Right now it would involve lots of pancakes but I'm pretty sure that's just a reaction to all the eggs Ive been eating.
@kats0727 - I’ll be due for my booster in November. I’m all about getting it since I know so many vaxxed people who have gotten sick with Covid the past few weeks.
Upcoming appointments: Is it sad u can't remember when my next appointment is? I know I need to schedule my glucose test soon.
How are you feeling?: So friggin pregnant. Also, emotionally I am unraveling again. Hubby is leaving for 45 days for work (at the southern border) on Sunday and I am so not prepared to be 6 months pregnant and raising a toddler by myself for a month and a half. He suggested we come with him, but the logistics of that, plus the risk of flying with covid ( while pregnant and with a 2.5 year old) just doesn't seem worth it. Plus, DD is starting school Selt 8th, so she would miss so much. Blah.
Rants/Raves: We are on vacation with extended family and we are all sick thanks to my niece randomly coming down with a cold and double ear infection overnight. I am so congested I can barely breathe, and none of us are sleeping. Between waking up a million times to pee, a million times to blow my nose, and DD waking up crying because she isn't feeling well, I don't think I am sleeping more than 3 hours total per night. Also, I have missed so much here I feel like it's impossible to keep up!
Questions: Those of you with partners that travel for work/ military how do you deal with it?
GTKY: What is your ideal morning routine? Waking up slowly at my own pace, with no one crying or demanding things, drinking coffee and eating breakfast alone, then snuggles with DD on the couch while watching some TV.
@scaredunprepared- so sorry you are all sick!! This summer cold going around is brutal!! Ans gosh, 45 days is so long. Do you have local family help? It sounds like you have done it before maybe?? You are one tough cookie

@kats0727 I'll definitely get the booster if I can. I heard Dr. Fauci say this week it was 6-8 months from your first shot, so that would put me at the end of September if it's 6 months.
@kats0727 glad your LO got over their RSV quickly!
@bkjade I hear you on pushing things to open back up when covid is totally crazy. I’ve been hearing of so many breakthrough cases it makes me terrified even for when I get my second vaccine.
@mockingjay1 same about struggling this pregnancy and feeling worried/anxious. I had a loss before too, and do think that is contributing for me at least. It’s tough!
@jamieh2000 I don’t have direct experience but my sister tried the Willow I think, or maybe the Elvie. One of those! She didn’t like it and said it made her feel like she had robot boobs or something like that 🙈🤣. But I think she might’ve been trying to do a lot of things with them in and felt like it was super noticeable. I am curious about them though, having a toddler I just think it’s going to be so hard to pump with both of them and being tied to the pump. I do think that one of my mommy groups for DD they were saying if you have an oversupply at all that they aren’t good because they don’t hold that much, but I don’t know how true that is.
@prpl11butterfly does the bump tape help with pubic bone pain too?
@melbel0824 aww that’s stressful! Maybe they will change their mind soon. Delta changed mine real quick. I was always going to get it during pregnancy, but hoped to wait until third trimester. Delta scared me too much so I got my first at 24 weeks. I just hope I can make it to the second one without getting sick and that it’s not too late… it’s terrifying being pregnant during this crazy time.
@mockingjay1 I don't think the paranoia ever goes away after a loss. I hope that the follow up scan does help put some of your fears to rest though.
@kaitcrystalline heat and pregnancy are not a fun mix. I'm in MA and we have had some BRUTAL days (today in fact). I hope you get some relief from that and the headaches soon. I beleice Sudafed is pregnancy approved, maybe that with some Tylenol will help in the mean time.
@bkjade it's definitely harder to enjoy pregnancy with all if the craziness. DS starts school Monday and I am soooo releived that masks will be required. But I'm still worried about exposure too. Re:mat leave, I'll work until I'm in labor. And maybe a little while in labor (I did with my son because lmao).
@kats0727 glad your LO recovered quickly! RSV is scary. Re:booster If they allow it at 6m I will get it while still pregnant (since my 2nd dose was in May). If they make me wait until 8, it won't be until after baby. I'd prefer while pregnant because then I can pass along some more antibodies.
@scaredunprepared oh no! I'm sorry your H has to go away. That's such a long time but hopefully it will go by quickly with all the bustle of daily life. My H frequently goes away, usually 3 days to a week, for work things. I hate it. My parents and his mom are close by so they are always available to help me, I'm very grateful for that. Currently his company is being REALLY particular about travel and only going to *priority* shows. I think his next one (that I'm not joining on as a little kid free getaway 😉) is end of Sept..... to Orlando 😷😬. I'm crossing EVERYTHING it gets canceled. I think we got super lucky when we went to his last Orland event with him in July because things got bad there the week we had gotten home. I hope you guys all feel better soon, aweful way to spend vacation.
@rgn12 I think it would help you! It helps take some of the weight off your hips and public bones. Here's a great link for you!
@JamieH2000 we have his mom pretty local 2 weeks of the month. My family's 1.5 hours away which isn't too bad. He's had to go away before but this is the first time since our daughter was born. I am freaking out about him leaving for so many reasons
@prpl11butterfly sorry you have to deal with MIA partner part of the time, too. It stinks, but I know we will get through it. Better now than after baby comes, I guess.
@scaredunprepared definitely! I beleive Sept is the end of MHs travel time for the year. 2022 travel would likely begin around Feb but I'm also probably going to delay that to March or April if at all possible. It's fun that he can tell his bosses no because I said and they listen lmao (I use to work for the same company so I know his bosses quite well).

Dx: PCOS
DS1 born 11/2014
DS2 born 11/2018
3 previous losses
Rainbow baby due 12/2021 - Team Green
@rpreston17 - I started taking Pepcid AC last week and oh my goodness it is AMAZING. Highly recommend.
@kaitcrystalline @mockingjay1 - same on anxiety this time. Sending
How far along are you?: 22 weeks
Upcoming appointments: next week
How far along are you?: 22 weeks
How far along are you?: 25+1
Upcoming appointments: Is it sad u can't remember when my next appointment is?

@prpl11butterfly sorry you have to deal with MIA partner part of the time, too. It stinks, but I know we will get through it. Better now than after baby comes, I guess.
