Going on week 3 of all of our systems being down at work so I only have access to email. All client notes and other admin tasks cannot be done at all, so I have a 2 week and counting backlog of tasks that will all need to be done before my last day in ~3 weeks. This is a mess and I am so glad to be leaving this org. I'm tired y'all.

@kaf1788 apparently it was a cyberattack where hackers were trying to get information and hold it for ransom?? idk it is such a mess. also there are apparently "professionals working around the clock to fix the issue" but I feel like that's probably not true
@angelz429 definitely relieved to be leaving and getting to do my own thing

Believe it or not this is an actual thing!  There are even professional "negotiators" that deal with just this. Unfortunately usually the companies do actually have to pay this ransom and everything goes back to normal. Blew my mind when I first heard about it but happened to someone I know and he ultimately had to pay the ransom due to the extreme cost per day (per HOUR) of being offline....
