Re: TWW Monday 8.16
@agesandstages you definitely want to try to temp while still laying down, at the same time of day, and ideally not have to dig for your thermometer in your nightstand, etc. That being said, usually, I can get pretty decent results if I temp within an hour of my normal time. After that, my temps start shooting up if I'm too late. Sometimes I have to redo my temps because I left my mouth open (I kinda fall back asleep 🤣). But the longer you're awake, the higher the temp will be.Â
Eta: usually a quick MOTN pee doesn't affect my temps either, even if I don't have 4 solid hours of sleep. But I can say that me staring at the ceiling for 1.5 hours until 3 am this morning probably affected it, and I read abnormally high this morning.Â
Glad you had a great weekend getaway!
@agesandstages I only have a couple cycles of temping so I’m sure others could answer this better, but what I’ve noticed in myself is it at least doesn’t seem to matter whether I roll over or not. Haven’t had an instance of sitting up to say for sure on that. I seem to have some error in my temp when I wake up a couple hours early (5 AM) and temp later (7 AM), but only in my follicular phase. Also, took awhile for me to have a thermal shift (my first temping cycle was anovulatory and second one was 30 days before O), but once I did it was very obvious. It sucks but you just have to give it time and keep looking for patterns.Â
