Re: Weekly Check-In, Week of Aug 09
Est Due Date / Weeks + Days: Apr 11 / 5w
FTM/STM/TTM+: FTM
Upcoming Appointments: early ultrasound next week
How are you feeling?: so far so good! I still have a little cramping here and there but not at much as last week. My main symptoms are skin breakouts, nasal congestion, and tender breasts (though I notice the tenderness a lot more in the morning and late at night). I don't really have much nausea yet (which of course makes me nervous). Looking forward to my appointment next week and extra grateful my RE is doing this for me even though I'd only had an initial consult with her.
Rants/Raves: I worked for a family member last week - 5 ten hour days - and my house is an absolute mess! I was grateful for the opportunity for some extra cash but I really need to get this place in order, there is animal hair EVERYWHERE. So planning on the deep clean this week as well as finishing up a portfolio that I'd like to get done by the end of the week (fingers crossed).
Questions: natm
GTKY: What is your favorite way to spend a day off? I love curling up on the couch with a good book or catching up on a TV series. I also like to go hiking with MH and the dog, but if I had my choice I'd probably pick the couch lol.
FTM/STM/TTM+: STM
Upcoming Appointments: Nurse appt this Friday, doctor appt with early ultrasound on the 30th. I can't wait to
How are you feeling?: Overall still pretty good. Most of my symptoms haven't started yet, but I'm a little more tired than usual and have sore boobs.
Rants/Raves: Rant- Planning all of the million things that needed to be planned for moving is not fun. I can't wait for all of this to be done!
Questions: None that I can think of right now.
GTKY: What is your favorite way to spend a day off? I like to get outside in the morning, either by going for a hike or taking DS to a playground. And then just chilling and not having to think or do anything in the afternoon. I used to read more and really need to pick that back up.
FTM/STM/TTM+: FTM
Upcoming Appointments: August 30
How are you feeling?: Surprisingly fine. Sore boobs, peeing constantly and being super thirsty are about my only symptoms.
Rants/Raves: Time is crawling by. I feels like it has been at least 3 weeks since I found out I was pregnant, but it has barely been 1.
Questions: None
GTKY: What is your favorite way to spend a day off? On my days off, I'm working on hiking all of the highest peaks in every county in my state. I also don't really like cleaning, but I like having a clean house and getting everything I need to done.
@monstera13 Oh, moving is so hard! Are you doing all of the packing and moving boxes yourselves?
Est Due Date / Weeks + Days: (Apr 6?) 5+5? (my numbers don't appear to align with everyone else's - LMP was 6/30, and OPK 1-day LH surge was 7/09, BFP was 7/19)
FTM/STM/TTM+: STM
Upcoming Appointments: Moved up to 8/12. I almost cried on the phone when the kind receptionist said my doctor wasn't available before my planned visit on 8/27. When I told her I would see anyone at their practice, she found some room for me with my doctor. I'm really hoping to put together a plan for managing NVP and want to be given instructions about what to do if I become too dehydrated/lose too much weight/have any other vomiting related complications.
How are you feeling?: Really bad. Curled in the fetal position trying not to vomit most of the day bad. Scared I'm going to lose my job. Lost 7 lbs in 5 days. Considering taking a medical leave of absence if I don't improve. The NVP is far worse than my first pregnancy.
*TW fears*

I don't know if I'm reading that study right. I definitely don't have it in me to evaluate the quality of the data beyond "prospective" study of >2000 women. This is part of my dysfunction.
Rants/Raves: I feel like some members of my family are treating me like a debbie-downer when I point out the nausea is likely to intensify over the coming weeks, and say things like "well, maybe you'll feel better in a couple days! You never know!" I'm not being a pessimist...I am anticipating and preparing for the typical course of NVP.
Questions: natm
GTKY: What is your favorite way to spend a day off? I love Sunday evening dinner parties with friends. Looking forward to getting back into that after the pandemic (and after, well, nausea).
Sorry to hear you're so nauseous. Is there any way they'd prescribe you Diclegis prior to your office visit? I wouldn't want to wait three more days
@dinomeetsjedi Right there with you on time moving slowly. Working all last week made the time fly by, but now I know this week will crawl. How many peaks have you hit so far?
@loveanddatadriven So sorry you're dealing with so much debilitating NVP. I'm glad you were able to get an appointment this week, though! Hopefully the doctor can prescribe you something to help. I'm right there with you on the irrational fears, I'm praying that we get good news at my appointment next week and then I'll be able to breathe a little sigh of relief. FX. Hopefully the doctor will be able to help with dating at your appointment too! I despise the "maybe it'll get better soon" kind of comments. Sorry you're dealing with those too.
FTM/STM/TTM+: STM
Upcoming Appointments: First one is August 30
How are you feeling?: Mostly fine, super tired, nasal congestion, face breakouts, tender boobs. Emotionally still very cautiously optimistic. Really can't wait until that first appointment so I'll know one way or the other.
Rants/Raves: I got my husband to clean the garage today. 😮 You have no idea how HUGE that is. lol Over the coming months I really want to have a huge house cleanout and possibly a garage sale. We'll see if I actually pull it off- one can dream.
Questions: nothing right now
GTKY: What is your favorite way to spend a day off? I love going on day dates with my husband while our son is at preschool. We haven't done that much since covid, but they were always so fun. I also really like to be productive. Like if I can go to bed at night feeling like I got a ton of stuff done I feel amazing. I know that's not exactly fun but it feels great. Probably because I tend to be a procrastinator, so when I actually DO SOMETHING it's a great accomplishment.
@monstera13 I am not jealous of you moving. haha But it sounds like it'll be great for you. And regarding reading- I just started reading more this year and it's been so fun. I started a Goodreads account and that has been really helpful for finding new things to read and connect with friends.
@dinomeetsjedi TIME IS SO SLOWWWWWW
@loveanddatadriven I sincerely hope you get some relief for that nausea. But I am glad you get to see the doc sooner! Maybe they will give you something to help.
@fameonmain2 FX for your appointment next week, and that you get your good news.
FTM/STM/TTM+: TTM (literally cannot believe this is a thing in my life)
Upcoming Appointments: first ultrasound is tomorrow! Excited to hopefully see a little cardiac activity
How are you feeling?: Nauseated AF
Rants/Raves: I just got back from a baby free vaycay which was amazing and I’m sad to be back in the real world
Questions:
GTKY: What is your favorite way to spend a day off?
Est Due Date / Weeks + Days: 4/2 6w+2d
FTM/STM/TTM+:STM
Upcoming Appointments: I had one this morning and got to see the little bean! They were able to find a fetal pole and the heart was beating at a normal rate. I was so excited! Baby was measuring 5W 6d, which didn't surprise me, since I ovulated a few days later than day 14 of my cycle. My next appointment is 9/1.
How are you feeling?: Always tired and bloated for sure! Waves of nausea, but nothing too bad yet. I really wish I would have kept better notes with my first pregnancy to see how similar my symptoms are.
Rants/Raves:
Questions:
GTKY: What is your favorite way to spend a day off? It’s been awhile since I’ve had one to myself! A binge watching day on the couch sounds amazing right now!
FTM/STM/TTM+: STM
Upcoming Appointments: Ultrasound Aug 25
How are you feeling?: fine, a little tired. I get kind of dizzy if I get hungry which is unpleasant.
Rants/Raves:
Questions: TTM+, how'd you tell your older kids about your pregnancy? What gestation/how old were your older kids when you told them?
GTKY: What is your favorite way to spend a day off? I'm a SAHM, what days off? lol Ain't no days off in pandemic land. Watch TV? Go in the hot tub? Take a THC gummy? Can't do the latter two in pregnancy, though. Alas.
FTM/STM/TTM+: TTM
Upcoming Appointments: First beta Thursday aug 12
How are you feeling?: pretty good so far starting to pee more and have vivid dreams and occasional heartburn, been having cramps and lots of fatigue too
Rants/Raves: moving soon and stressed about it- our movers come in less then 4 weeks and I’m freaking out as I’ve barely started packing - also we’ll be moving into my inlaws house for the next year+ while our new house is built so - that will be fun 😂😬 don’t get me wrong my mil is fantastic and will actually move with us to our new house once it’s built but my father in law had end stage dementia (one reason why we are moving in- she needs help but all his supports are where he lives) - buying a new build and moving in with them for a bit was a compromise with her as we never wanted to live in her house (she was begging us to move in permanently) we’d rather have her in ours) but her house while large isn’t what we are used to (used to owning our own decent sized house with ensuite bath etc now we are going to be sharing a hall bath with the kids and sleeping in a tiny toom with no closet space)
Questions: Nope
GTKY: What is your favorite way to spend a day off? I'm a SAHM so dont really get days off - but the kids did go to a 4 day daycamp last week right after my ivf transfer and I basically ate and watched Netflix all day until they got home 😂
@kiwi2628 hope things go/went well today. looking forward to a great update.
@loveanddatadriven I'm sorry that sounds so miserable. I hope there is some relief in the very near future.
@dinomeetsjedi i agree, time seems to have slowed down.
Est Due Date / Weeks + Days: 4/3, 6+2
FTM/STM/TTM+: STM
Upcoming Appointments: first u/s is next Monday. my RE's office likes to wait until at least 7 weeks...
How are you feeling?: anxious and already over these PIO shots and I know/hope I have at least 5 more weeks. I'm tired, but what else is new.
Rants/Raves: we were supposed to have our first kid free night this weekend, but the ILs bailed on babysitting...
Questions:
GTKY: What is your favorite way to spend a day off? if I'm off from work, and DS is at daycare...I'm reading, watching TV or napping. DH and I actually planned a mental health day last month, but DS got RSV so we had to cancel our couples massage and lunch plans.

@laurazainab, good luck with you beta!
@doxiemoxie212, haha pandemic land! I feel you...not a SAHM, but my husband is, I work from home and we have had both kids (4 and 1) at home since the beginning of the pandemic...
Est Due Date / Weeks + Days: 4/17, 4+3 (super early...)
FTM/STM/TTM+: TTM
Upcoming Appointments: so so so annoyed that I don't get to have an u/s until week 10!!! My doctor is booked up until Sept 22nd...I have an intake call with an ob nurse next Friday that I hope will maybe speed up the appt. I don't know. I have history of losses prior to my first and now I am AMA, so I am surprised that they are making me wait that long....
How are you feeling?: ditto on the anxious, excited, scared, I have minimal pregnancy symptoms, except for the metallic taste.
Rants/Raves: See above, first u/s at 10 weeks???!!! WTH
Questions: Anyone else having their second pandemic baby??? Never thought this would happen.
GTKY: What is your favorite way to spend a day off? If we are with the kiddos, doing something outside, watching them learn something new, visiting a new place. Kid-free: sitting in my patio with a glass of wine (I guess not now!) and listening to our pond sounds (water trickling, frogs, birds) AND then going inside and watching trashy TV LOL.

Est Due Date / Weeks + Days: April 16 so 4+4
FTM/STM/TTM+: STM
Upcoming Appointments: first ultrasound Sept 17
How are you feeling?: Good! Symptoms so far are just cramping, more peeing, and tiredness.
Rants/Raves: this is a combo—we are going to Pigeon Forge TN this weekend for a quick trip with two other families (yay!) but…We are likely going to have to tell them Im pregnant (they’ll wonder why I’m not drinking white claw lol!) and even though they’re all close friends I hate telling anyone before first appt.
Questions: nah nothing yet
GTKY: What is your favorite way to spend a day off? Sleep in, drink my coffee in peace, hang out at home with family, go for a walk, tackle an organizing project, enjoy a yummy dinner, hot bubble bath and a good book, early bedtime. I realize this makes me sound like I’m 67 but I assure you I am 32 haha!
I’m grateful there’s very little risk to the baby, but I also felt dismissed by the nurse who mentioned several times we didn’t need to come in since she could have just called in the prescription, even though I clearly had a lot of questions (like how will I know when I need to go to the ER?). My understanding of NVP management: frequent saltines -> B6/unisom -> Zofran -> IV fluids in the ER. Doesn’t it seem like there are some missing steps in there?
second was today at 12dp5dt (17dpo) ; 900
just over doubled in the last 48 hours. Small amount of relief and reassurance to tie me over until my ultrasound on the 27th which I’ll be 6w2d along
