Huge. I am actually a little concerned about my bump size and am planning on asking the doctor about it at my appointment this afternoon! I weigh myself pretty consistently at home - right in the morning and naked - and I've only gained about 4-5 pounds, which seems normal to me.
@fifilala516 I feel like I'm huge, too. I googled other people's week 17 bumps (LOL) and it's crazy how much people vary! I've actually been reluctant to weigh myself - I don't think I've gained more than 7 or 8 pounds, but I just look like I'm way further along than I am.
AFM, I'm feeling really good! I've been able to ride the Peloton 3 times in the past 4 days, and while I've only done 20-30 minute rides (and my output has been abysmal, haha) I feel great afterwards and really proud of myself that I did it. I'm also eating a ton, so working out a bit to balance is probably a good thing.
Ummmmm I’ve already gained 19lbs. Ooops. I’m a big lady (5’9 and 180lbs before pregnancy) and was pretty strict with diet before bc I gain so easily due to the medications I was on from breast cancer (they put me in menopause and I retained a ton of weight) so in pregnancy I am eating whatever I want lol. Pretty sure I’ll get a lecture from my doctor and go back to tracking what I eat. My bump isn’t that big though- prob just cause of my height. But I am staying active with swimming and lots of walks so hopefully I don’t need to be too concerned about weight gain.
Other than that I am still sooooo tired and suffering from insomnia like lots of use here. And ive got bad foot pain as well so may treat myself to a foot massage this week.
I am finally feeling really good! I'm sure the exhaustion will start to creep back though when I start work on the 18th. My appetite is picking up, so I'm sure the pounds will too. Currently I'm down an overall 10lbs from when I got pregnant. I've gained 1lb since my BFP.
I do have a significant bump when I'm sitting. I just look a little pudgy/bloated when I'm standing. Still in all regular clothes, and by regular I mean my pants and shorts that have an elastic waist. 😂
Overall I think I feel a little better energy wise. I'm 15w3d but I'm still having some nausea in the evenings. I feel like my sense of smell has kicked up again. I have to watch what I eat but I've been keeping indigestion at bay for the most part. Appetite is a little better. This past week I've really felt my belly start to expand and I am feeling some flutters, mostly at bedtime. One of my most annoying symptoms is feeling like I'm going to gag, a lot. I almost feel like now it's mental. Like hey, I'm feeling pretty good, I wonder why I'm not feeling bad and then I get the gag feeling. Anyone else having problems with that? One new symptom the past couple days is now a stuffy nose. I just can't win! 🙂
i feel like i have a rock in my stomach ache by the end of the day. i feel like i have no room for dinner sometimes but i force myself to eat haha but i feel the opposite, i feel like my bump should be bigger by now especially since i’m almost halfway! i have my u/s in 2 weeks so hopefully everything goes well!
@nik012 I had the gag thing all throughout 1st trimester and maybe a week or 2 into 2nd trimester, mostly when I brushed my teeth. It was the WORST, and yeah, I think it's a mental thing. One thing that helped was that I played Sudoku on my phone while I brushed my teeth, just to keep me distracted enough
@fifilala516 that was me throughout 1st trimester, and then all of a sudden it came back with a vengeance for like, a week. Now I’m feeling pretty whatever about it. My two previous pregnancies? I had zero interest throughout the whole 9 months.
@fifilala516 my stomach is huge too! Im only 5 ft 1 with zero torso so the only way this baby fits is by growing out! My biggest problem is finding clothes in my closet that fit enough to go in public i have a couple of summer maternity clothes but im not investing in any more because it’s a waste of money! Praying for fall when i can wear big sweaters and use the maternity clothes from my first pregnancy!
Anyone having issues with rashes? I think I have a heat rash on both upper thighs. I’ve never gotten one before and it says during pregnancy they can be more common. Wondering if this is happening or has happened to anyone else. I went for a hike yesterday in my regular lululemon leggings and then after noticed a bad rash on both legs. Ugh- it’s sooo itchy!! I just put witch hazel on it for now and am wearing baggy sweats today. I will keep an eye on it. I don’t normally get any kind of rash like this so that’s why I’m wondering if it’s more a pregnancy symptom. From what I read it’s only concerning if it’s on your hands but also wondering if I should make a dermatologist appt just to be safe.
Heartburn like a fire breathing dragon. RLP worse woth this one than all the others combined. Nausea still comes and goes. And still feeling drained all the time.
@AshleyGemini24 - my heartburn is soooo bad too! I have to sleep sitting up sometimes. Trying to remember not to eat after 8PM helps. But man do I like the food at night.
