How far along are you? 25+1

Any new symptoms? Had some weird aches and chills the other night with no other symptoms including no fever. Kept me up all night.

Any appointments recently or coming up? How did it go? Grateful to have an appointment already in the morning to make sure all my numbers look ok especially after a weird night of aches and chills. The nurses seemed not to appreciate that I came in in having recently experienced that but the doctor agreed that absent other symptoms, no likely recent covid risk exposure, and the fact that I'm already vaccinated, it was very unlikely I have covid. I haven't experienced the aches, chills, or other symptoms since 🤷🏼‍♀️

How many kids do you already have, and how old are they? 2 year old

How are your other kids doing this week? I swear he has snacks and watching TV on the brain all day long. We have always had a hard rule in our house that we only watch TV between daycare/naptime and bedtime and yet DS asks every morning to 'watch something' and throws a fit when the answer is 'after nap/daycare' every single friggin day for weeks. He also still fights us on washing hands before eating even though we have a hard rule on that too (he's been tantruming before every snack/meal every day for MONTHS on this. I don't know when/how it'll end). It's really tiring and some days I really don't have the patience for it.

Concerns/Questions: 

GTKY: What state or country do you never want to go back to? Never is a strong word. I'd be ok with never having a reason to go back to New Jersey again, but I have family and friends who live there.

I haven't been on much recently since my job is COVID response and that's ramping back up 🤪

How far along are you? 25w6d

Any new symptoms? Just a lot of pain in my hips and groin.

Any appointments recently or coming up? How did it go? Tomorrow is my GD screening and I am very anxious since I had it last pregnancy 

How many kids do you already have, and how old are they? A 4 year old son

How are your other kids doing this week? My son was exposed to COVID at school and is home under quarantine, and our AC BROKE in Texas! But after 24 miserable hours that's fixed.

Concerns/Questions: 

GTKY: What state or country do you never want to go back to? Texas. Hahaha. The two years we've lived here have been very. Very. Hard. I do think we'll leave and I doubt we'd ever come back to visit

Any new symptoms? Still just constipated with heartburn and have to eat really small meals to stay comfortable

How are your other kids doing this week? He’s good. It has been way too hot to do anything outside so we’ve been doing lots of crafts to stay busy inside. Thankfully, he’s enjoying watching the Olympics

@Marz1pan (lurking from FTM) I agree with you on Texas! I have lived here in two different cities for the last 5 years and if it wasn't for the fact that both my husband and I's entire families live here, I would move in a heartbeat! I also feel you with the COVID ramp up. I'm in an outpatient clinic, so different, but we are starting to get more positive cases in office. The lead physician is trying to make it so I don't have to see anyone that is symptomatic to limit my exposure (we are still reusing PPE), but patient's just LIE about their symptoms! It's been making it very stressful.

How many kids do you already have, and how old are they? 5 year old boy, 2 year old girl.

How are your other kids doing this week? Still worried about 2 year old barely eating and waiting another 10 days for her to see the doctor.

GTKY: What state or country do you never want to go back to? I was also going to say Texas! I lived there for 4 months for some military training and that's enough Texas for me.

Any new symptoms? Anyone else feeling super tired again? Was hoping the second trimester energy would last a little longer! 

Any appointments recently or coming up? How did it go? Had my 24 week and everything is measuring right on track. 

How many kids do you already have, and how old are they? 4 year old  and 2 year old boys

How are your other kids doing this week? 4 year old kisses and hugs my belly constantly which is adorable. 2 year old wants to be carried all the time... need to kick that habit before November!

GTKY: What state or country do you never want to go back to? None I can think of - I just can’t wait until we can travel more again!

Any new symptoms? Not really, starting to toss and turn more at night.  Anyone have a remedy for hip pain? They’re killing me!

Any appointments recently or coming up? How did it go? I have one in a weekish I think?

How are your other kids doing this week? He’s great! Been very clingy to me lately, but I’ll take it! He’s from my 1st marriage and he still has a hard time being away from mommy 💔 

Concerns/Questions: nope!

GTKY: What state or country do you never want to go back to? I don’t think there’s anywhere that I’d cross off my list just yet! I love traveling and I can’t wait to have this baby and take more family vacas!

@sonoshark88 I lived in NJ for three years of highschool and the first summer of college. My parents and some friends are still there so I still come back on occasion. I've had the hip pain since late first trimester. By using giant pregnancy pillows, bending my top leg over and keeping my bottom leg straight and leaning forward ever so slightly, it's good most of the night and not great but tolerable into the morning hours. I also see a physical therapist, chiropractor, masseuse, and try to stay hydrated but honestly the pillow has made the most noticeable difference for my hip pain. I've tried regular pillows but mine squish more and is ineffective without the same support. Recommend the u-shaped pillow if you can.

@sonoshark88 Prenatal yoga stretches that focus on your hips. You can YouTube it! I’ve been lazy and haven’t done it lately, but I super need to.

Any new symptoms? Nothing new, feeling pretty good although getting bigger and bigger, third tri should be a treat

Any appointments recently or coming up? How did it go? I have my glucose test on the 10th and I'll have my monthly checkup then as well

How are your other kids doing this week? He's doing great! DH and I left him with my parents for two nights while we went to our family's cabin and everyone did well. It was the first time we have left him alone without either one of us ever (thanks, covid). He's really liking being around all this family (we live far from family and are on a 2 week visit)

GTKY: What state or country do you never want to go back to? I wasn't a big fan of Jakarta, Indonesia. My dad and I visited ages ago and we really had a hard time finding stuff to do and I did not love the vibe. But maybe things have changed in the intervening years, never is a strong word lol

Any new symptoms? I feel like all the painful symptoms come up faster with each pregnancy. I’m having a lot of SPD pains, my joints are clicking, nause/heartburn, headaches… I’m starting to worry about preeclampsia symptoms again. 

Any appointments recently or coming up? How did it go? Well, I was supposed to have one last week, but I completely missed it. I my defense, I never got a text, email or phone call about my appointment. And working nights is killing me slowly.

How many kids do you already have, and how old are they? DD: 3.5, DS: 2. 

How are your other kids doing this week? We’re trying to potty train DD, pee is good, poop is not. It’s been a really long journey. We haven’t even attempted to potty train DS… I feel like a bad parent. 

Concerns/Questions: anyone else’s kid move all the damn time? Gah, this kid stretches and punches me so much! She’s a mover for sure!

GTKY: What state or country do you never want to go back to? Germany scared the crap out of me, and I was only in the Frankfurt airport. Haha. I was 14, first time overseas, and I couldn’t figure out how to flush the toilet. I was mortified and I probably spent a good 20-30 mins in the stall trying to figure it out.
