How are you feeling?: tiiiiiiiiiiired. We’re vacationing in St. Louis to see family and it’s wearing me out! Also feel bloated and have zero interest in meat (had the same aversion with my son).

Rants/Raves: Just ready to feel better! DH has been a champ on this trip, letting me rest often and taking care of kiddo. I’m very thankful for him!

Team Finding Out/Blue/Pink/Green: I was team green last time, and given the choice I'd like to be again, but my husband hated waiting, so I promised him that this time we would find out.

Upcoming Appointments: July 30 for an ultrasound. Fingers crossed we'll get to see a heartbeat!

How are you feeling?: not awful. I mean, exhausted all the time, and nausea coming in waves throughout the day, but not debilitatingly sick like I was during my first pregnancy, so overall I'm really grateful to still be able to mostly accomplish normal life.

Rants/Raves: I really hate the bloat and gas during early pregnancy. Half my clothes don't fit and I just really don't feel like myself.

GTKY: Fave summer snack? Normally, I love watermelon salad (it's mostly watermelon, mint, and ricotta salata, so delicious). But right now my pregnant self wants bland starches all the time. I am reallly craving pasta salad right now. And I've been making a lot of tomato and muenster sandwiches.

@rachelredhead Small world! I’m in St. Louis staying with my mom until my husband and I find a place in Orlando (hopefully in the next few weeks). It’s great that your husband is letting you get some rest.

How are you feeling?: Nausea is starting, tired, bloated. I’m definitely feeling the rollercoaster of emotions. 

Rants/Raves: My husband is heading down to Orlando to work/search for a home for us. I’m sad he’s leaving, but happy that we are closer to having our own place again. (DH was working in China for the past year. It’s been nuts.)

Upcoming Appointments: August 6.

How are you feeling?: PG after a MMC is a particular mindf*ck for me, so trying to calm the anxiety-insomnia-induced googling "MMC symptoms" at 3am. But I'm tired AF, and have random bouts of nausea all day. Last week I wasn't hungry at all during the day and then about 5pm a switch flipped and I could eat the whole kitchen, so that was fun. My boobs are no longer sore though which is both completely normal and anxiety inducing. 

Rants/Raves: I started a new job the second week of the stay at home orders, so I haven't even really met my department or my boss except via video. We have an in-person event coming up, but it's before my appointment so I won't have confirmation of viability. Being a TTM, I have a bloat bump already that doesn't go away and I'm nervous about people questioning the bump + not drinking (because people are rude and can't mind their own business). I wish our health care structure was such that I could order my own ultrasound to confirm viability without needing "permission" from my doctor (and no, I live in a rural area, so unless I want to drive a few hours, there isn't a private option near me).

GTKY: Fave summer snack? Idk if I consider any snack to be summer specific!! Like you can always get watermelon year round because live in an insane society like that. Popsicles? Ice cream? All acceptable year-round snacks.

How are you feeling?: Soooooooo nauseous. Like can't think about food or even have things in the house the aversion are soooo strong. This is so similar to my first pregnancy that it is giving me some hope. Mentally stressed. PGAL sucks all the joy out if the first 26ish weeks of pregnancy for me.

@jessier19 I am with ya on the bloat. It is so frustrating. I don't have a bump yet but for some reason can't fit into my jeans. Very annoying. 

@rachelredhead Your vacation sounds nice! And bonus points to DH for being so on it. It is rough taking care of a toddler with morning sickness, let alone travelling.

How are you feeling?: Very nauseous. I started taking B6+Unisom and that is helping a bit. Mentally I'm feeling pretty good. I'm starting to believe this is real and am getting pretty excited. Ask me again in a few days and I'll probably say the opposite though. 

Rants/Raves: I feel like it is going to be a long week haha. Starting this week we have to go back to the office one day a week and then we will gradually work toward full time. My day in the office is Wednesday. I was excited to go back before and now I'm dreading it a bit. 

Questions: Does anyone else feel super awkward telling people? I don't know if it is the attention or what, but I feel insanely uncomfortable telling people. I told most of our friends when we were camping because it was pretty impossible to hide. I feel like I need to text my other BFF to tell her now and I just can't. I don't know why. 

GTKY: Fave summer snack? Hmmm I love shaved ice, but truthfully I would say corn on the cob. Not really a summer snack, but a summer food staple haha.

@kgg2241 I also feel super awkward telling people...I even feel super awkward telling SO when I get positive tests. I was texting with my sister today and was going to tell her, but then just couldn't. Also, I kind of love the nausea because it gives me hope. No matter how sick I get I definitely won't complain if it means I have a healthy, growing baby ❤

@kgg2241 definitely add me to team awkward. I never know how to tell people. The people really close to me know we've been trying and struggling so i'm just hoping they'll ask lol. My other plan (i don't do a lot of social media so no big announcement there) will be to do a holiday card announcement, so i don't actually have to talk to anyone about it.

Upcoming Appointments: Wednesday for my endocrinologist. August 16 for OB. Feels like forever away!

How are you feeling?: keep waiting for the symptoms to hit but honestly I feel fine. Occasional nausea but late pregnancy I had HG and was in the hospital multiple times so it feels odd to feel normal. It makes me a little nervous but I know every pregnancy is different. My other 3 I really just had cravings and that was it.

Rants/Raves: My youngest has something going on. Not sure what but he had pink eye i think, then fever and rash, and now he’s just very irritable. It’s so sad.

Questions: did any of y’all do, or are you planning on doing, sneak peak test? I am tempted but also heard that contamination can skew results.

GTKY: Fave summer snack? Roasted corn, guacamole, pineapple!

@v2hb I hope your little one feels better soon! I know a few people who did the sneak peak, just make sure to keep it away from any male family members because I heard it can get contaminated fairly easily...but I think everyone I know who tried it got the correct results! I get the NIPT due to age so I find out early anyways, but if I didn't I'd probably do the sneak peak 😀

How are you feeling?: Honestly, not bad, which freaks me out a bit. Have some mild nausea, but it's better than it was early last week. Definitely fatigued, sore boobs (which are also getting a bit better), and soooo gassy. When I type it all out like that, it does seem like a lot, but my mom was really sick in all three of her pregnancies so I had just been assuming I would be genetically blessed with the same. 

Rants/Raves: I LOVE the Olympics, so these are two very exciting weeks for me! I was a swimmer growing up and a runner now, so the fact that those two sports each get a full week of coverage is amazing. 

Questions: NATM! Just excited to have our first appointment on Wednesday and hopefully see that everything is progressing well so that we can start telling people! 

GTKY: Fave summer snack? Anything with a really ripe peach or nectarine!

Team Finding Out/Blue/Pink/Green: Finding out as soon as I can get the NIPT. Originally when we started trying for #2 we were dead set on team green, but after years of infertility struggles I can no longer wait! 

Upcoming Appointments: 8/6 both ultrasound and appointment. 

How are you feeling?: My boobs are killing me, only crappy processed carbs interest me, and the fatigue has set in.  But I’m embracing it all! 

Rants/Raves: Work has been awful lately and it’s making me (and a lot of coworkers)  have an existential crisis.....I’m a bit worried there is going to be a mass exodus of healthcare workers. 😬 

Questions: I’m terrified of having an incompetent cervix. Anyone else???  I was told I have a very small risk of such and may need a cerclage. Funny because they needed to put a stitch in to be able to OPEN my cervix for my embryo transfer.

Rants/Raves: Rant- at my first appt last week they scheduled my 1-hr glucose test for my next appt (at 8 weeks)... that's crazy early and I'm thinking she suspects I had undiagnosed GD with my second, which I did not.  She's going to feel real silly when I pass it with flying colors

Upcoming Appointments: I didn’t make one yet. I always find out early and then I’m always worried about it being viable since they don’t see a fetal pole at first (I did this with my first 2) lol so I’m waiting a bit.

How are you feeling?: no symptoms yet. I’m feeling really happy and lucky. I didn’t think we’d get pregnant so fast since it took so long for my second. I’m excited.

Rants/Raves: Rant- my Apple Watch broke Rave- I love being off for the summer

@Patience7150 I also started a new job in September and it’s been remote and we go back in person in September and I showed fast with my other 2 pregnancies so I’m sure I will with this one too. If they haven’t seen you they don’t know your body type lol

How are you feeling?: tired! Starting to have nausea and a little vomiting in mornings and nights as of yesterday. Sleeping with a toddler that hates sleep is also exhausting. I thankfully got like 10 hours of sleep last night and it was wonderful. Also the sense of smell has escalated today and I’m not a fan 🤣

Rants/Raves: thankful for symptoms to comfort me a little in a progressing pregnancy, not a fan of the type of job I have where I’m with clients all day and have to pretend I’m fine when I feel terrible 

Questions: any words of wisdom from other toddler moms on coping with sx while caring for another little one.

How are you feeling?: A little nauseous and tired, but overall ok!

Rants/Raves: Rave! My husband has taken up a new hobby of making ice cream at home and it is amazing. His next batch will be cookies and cream 🤤 

Questions: Anyone else debating when to start nausea meds? I had pretty severe nausea of pregnancy with my first and am feeling a bit like I am just waiting for the shoe to drop…

Thanks for asking @elle-0409 but sadly the appointment was pretty discouraging.

The positive is the new doctor was wonderful! I wish I had seen her for my other pregnancies. However, the less stellar news is she did an ultrasound and asked if it was possible I got my dates wrong. I am 7 + 5 based on LMP but measured 6 weeks yesterday and she didn’t see a heartbeat. I am quite confident on my dates though and track everything on an app. 

She told me to be « cautiously optimistic » and scheduled me to go back in two weeks for a follow up ultrasound. She also mentioned that if I start to spot to call her ASAP to go in. If I am being truly honest, my gut feeling is not good and feel she is having me come back to confirm what she already knows.

@knottie6d2d4ecc42c2bdab My nausea hit like a tonne of bricks on the evening of 5+2. All I want to do is lie in a silent, cold, dark room all day...which I can't because I have my two littles to chase around the house all day. But if you normally have nausea like I do I'd probably start soon...
