I hate mid-century modern furniture. When will that trend finally end?

Coffee is disgusting! Even not pregnant, I can't stand the smell. I'm lucky my husband also hates coffee.

Also not a coffee drinker. I tried to be in university but just couldn't pull it off. I do love the smell though...

I don't drink water. Like, I'm sure there have been multiple weeks to go by without having a gulp. I don't dislike it, especially if it's cold and I'm thirsty, but I'm just addicted to soft drinks. In past pregnancies I tried to at least drink a couple of glasses a day, but right now we don't have an ice-maker because it makes the fridge leak even though we've had it "repaired" a few times. I'm an ice wawa or no wawa girl so this is a problem. I dunno if we're gonna call a plumber or buy an ice machine or what but so far this babies us fueled by Mtn Dew. 🙈 :#

@terralovessushi @Panaceia glad I'm not alone on that! My friends and coworkers all think I'm a weird human for that.

Haha oh man! I'm an odd duck here!
I love coffee! But I went cold turkey when I found out about this pregnancy.

@Car0liiine I only drink pop like... Once a year haha 🙈  but I've been PARCHED all the time for the past 2 weeks, and I'm drinking about 4L of water a day. Nothing else quenches my thirst. (Sometimes some diluted Gatorade).
My husband drinks coffee to quench his thirst. I have to have water after coffee since coffee makes me thirstier.

I cannot live without coffee but when pregnant I prefer cold brew over hot coffee. But agree with @goldfishcraker that it makes me thirsty so I’m usually double fisting water with my coffee drinks.

    FFC:
I was supposed to start (extremely painful) injections the day I found out I was pregnant.

    I've known for 2 weeks, and I haven't started yet. 😬
    My excuses:
I'm only 5+1, and really, pregnancy wouldn't have made me hypercoaguable this early.
We didn't find out I needed the injections until I was like.. 20wks with my son. And even those 5.5 months was brutal (have to do 6 wks PP). I literally ran out of places to inject. I was injecting into bruises.
PLUS, the injections are expensive (about $1200/mo) and the province doesn't cover it so it's not eligible for insurance without an exemption form. The OB has to fill out the exemption form. But he said the pharmacy is supposed to do it. (He is wrong.)
So until the OB fills it out and submits it, it won't be eligible for coverage.
The pharmacy said they would fill it and call me once he has sent in the exemption form.

I'm not super concerned at this point. This time, I'm not on bed rest. I'm staying active. And it's early. So the risk of me dying without it is super low.

But still. I'm a horrible person for not properly following instructions

@goldfishcraker I totally understand and think you're doing the right thing. I think it's crazy that some meds aren't covered without exemption forms! My mom just had to jump through a million hoops recently because she is allergic to the eye medication that was prescribed and that is covered by the province, but the less expensive one that they switched her to and that she is not allergic to is not covered. Seems so stupid and arbitrary to me sometimes!

I'm a big coffee fan, but hate Starbucks. My ob told me the other day to "keep it under 6 cups a day" lol. I think I can manage that.

I can never think of uo or fffc at the right time.

I love the taste of coffee, but it makes me feel sick (anxious, nauseous, wired but not awake or alert) so I rarely drink it. I'm still a pretty bad caffeine addict though, before I got pregnant with my son I used to drink 6-10 cups of black tea per day. I cut back during my first pregnancy and I've managed to keep to more reasonable amounts o tea since then, but I still kind of miss it.

@Panaceia that is so frustrating for your mom! You're right, it's so arbitrary!

Last time, the pharmacy didn't tell us it needed an exemption form. And we bought 2 months supply (about $3000 worth). So that was frustrating.

At 6 My son needed to be on a med, which is covered for adults but not infants? 🙄
But the team at children's hospital was amazing, and they had the form submitted AND approved before he was discharged from the ward. AND they gave us a week's worth to go home woth, in case the pharmacy had trouble getting it.

Also, birth control isn't covered! How freaking stupid is that?!
