@agesandstages I believe Fertility Friend did a study and the majority of users registered a positive by 13DPO (and some did in fact only get a positive 13DPO). I would say that unless you don’t get your period, you’re likely out. 

I’m going to post here, even though I’m doing an egg retrieval, because I’m technically 3DPO.

R/R: started stims last night, and already my sleep started to suffer. Woke up at 3:30am and couldn’t fall back asleep. MH had also woken up just before and whenever he doesn’t sleep, he goes on his computer. So the light from the screen was bothering me. I ended up going to the couch and managed to call back asleep briefly before waking up at my usually 6:10am. Turns out that our dog puked a bit on the bed after I left. So basically a shitty night for the whole household. And I have to finish my performance review plus 10 peer reviews by end of day today. It’s gonna be a shitty day. 

CS/Q: I’ve decided to extrapolate my temperatures from my Oura ring… which only shows a delta from baseline temp. So I’ve assigned 97.5 as my baseline and then entered all the deltas into FF. Based on that FF thinks I O’ed on Saturday but I’m sure it was either Sat-Sun overnight or Sunday proper.

@agesandstages I don’t ever count myself out until my period comes, especially if I test early. But what @acleverusername says definitely makes sense. Hang in there!

@acleverusername hey there (almost) cycle buddy! I’m sorry last night was so crappy for you all. Hopefully today goes by quickly because your busy and you can sneak into bed a little early tonight. Do you work from home? Can you sneak a nap in anywhere? I wish I had advice about your chart but I usually just assume ff knows what it’s talking about. My temps this cycle are far less than par so I’ve had to switch it to opk monitoring and the app doesn’t like that. Lol

R/R: yesterday was hazy but warm so we made it to the pool! Afterwards I found a giant hornworm on my tomatoes (can add a picture of anyone is curious 😖) and I’m pissed!!! It ate the like 8-10 flowers and 4+ branches of leaves off my Roma’s. In 1-2 days. They’re so nasty!!! Ugh. And my dad always said where there’s one, there’s two. So I’ve been out there all morning looking for another damn worm. I’m so annoyed.

@paytonpedro I lol'ed at "MH executed a perfect pulling out." Like when does a TTC lady say something like that? This rollercoaster ride... As for your worms, is there some kind of spray (non-toxic) you can use on your plants?  I'm sorry it did a number on your tomato plants though...

@acleverusername meh I wish I didn’t have to say it. But it is what it is. Lol. Next cycle I’ll have some nice -/+ numbers there instead!! 

I don’t know that there is but I should look into it. I had 2 last year and once I pulled them off I didn’t see anymore so I’m hoping that if I even find another that that will be it. My potatoes are being ravaged by beetles so I should see if the dust for that would protect my tomatoes as well!

@paytonpedro I secretly love tomato hornworms. But they are so annoying when they do major damage. THey are just so creepy looking! 

@agesandstages don't say that until you get your period! I am torturing myself with comparing charts on FF and there are more than a few with no BFP til 15 DPO. 

@acleverusername that's interesting that most people get it by 13 DPO. If I have a 30 day cycle then I will have a 15 day LP-does that study include people with LPs longer than 13? So, even if my period isn't supposed to come until 15 DPO I should still get a BFP by 13 or I'm likely out?

R/R: I wanted to make slow cooker tikka masala today, but can't find any of my spices that I need to make it-maybe I threw them out and forgot. Rave-I remembered I bought a jar of sauce for this exact situation so I can still have the meal!

CS/Q: Temp dip, but not too much. Still well above coverline-in the past my temps have always gradually dipped and been right at or above coverline by AF, but if tomorrow is AF, that won't be the case this time. WHat is other people's experience? Chart in spoiler for funsies.

@SmashJam I'm trying to find that dammed study but can't connect to FF servers. I'll post it when I get it. The luteal phase actually has no bearing on when implantation happens (the range of which is 6-12 days DPO, with majority being 7-11 DPO; there are some studies that really early or really late implantation can lead to an MC or a CP). For example, just because my luteal phase is normally ~10 days (without progesterone supplementation), doesn't mean implantation is going to move up and be 3-4DPO. It'll still be in that 7-11DPO range.

@SmashJam Found it! https://www.fertilityfriend.com/Faqs/Early-Negative-Pregnancy-Test-Before-a-Positive---Stats-Study.html. So, I didn't really express my earlier thought correctly. Based on this data (sample size is 6000), it looks like after 13DPO (excl.) there's still about a 20% chance of getting a BFP after first getting BFNs. Most salient fact from that article is: 

According to the community data, if you get a negative test beyond 11 DPO your chance of getting a BFP later on is significantly reduced.

@acleverusername interesting. This is also interesting because FF tells me it's too early too test right now and suggests I wait until Friday...which is when they think my period will come. Which is weird bc all my cycle data stored in here shows a 28 day cycle. They must base that suggestion solely based on cd1 not DPO.

@SmashJam FF is not "intelligent" in that way. From an engineering perspective, it just uses a series of "if / then" statements. But there is no artificial intelligence in FF that would yield recommendations based on your cycle specifically. Does FF do a countdown to T for you?

Testing: I was hoping to hold off until this weekend. Now after seeing the FF study, I really think I should hold off, but I keep trying to talk myself into tomorrow, because what if I'm one of those people who gets a super early BFP...I find that study super interesting. I keep googling chances of getting a positive at x dpo...like the information is going to change.

@sammygirl18 at the end of the day, you can test whenever you want. Lol. But, I can tell you from experience, testing early gets boring pretty quick. 🤷‍♀️

@acleverusername it doesn't "countdown" with the 54321 I've seen on other people's charts, but it tells me the day I should test is Saturday (which they predict is CD 1).
