How are you feeling? Anxiety is better after my appointment last week +seeing a HB. No real symptoms 🤷♀️
Rants/Raves? Rant- My house had a stomach bug over the weekend that included lots of vomiting. 🤢 Rave: my husband was home so he took care of everyone and everything. I was so thankful for that.

GTKY: What was your first job? I did a lot of babysitting as a teenager, but my first job was at a US Cellular Store. I actually really enjoyed that job!
Upcoming Appointments? I have my first in-person appointment with the Midwife on Thursday. Can't wait to hear the heartbeat!!

How are you feeling? meh. My nausea seems to be a little better although I still can't stomach coffee which is killing me slowly. Last night was the first night I was actually able to fall back asleep in a timely manner after getting up to pee early in the morning. Which is pretty surprising because I have a doozy of a cold!
Rants/Raves? Rant - When I had my son I got a cold at work at the very end which ended up causing a Bell's Palsy + early induction and I am still bitter about it. I was very excited about the prospect of being able to work from home through this whole pregnancy if I want and avoid germs. Then I remembered I have a disgusting germ magnet of a toddler. This is the second bad cold he's brought home from daycare and given to me since I've been pregnant. I think it's going to be a looooong 9 months.
Rave - Said toddler seems to be taking pity on me and has been an absolute angel the past few days after a really tough few weeks. He actually ASKED to put his shoes on and go to school this morning which is usually a huge fight.
Questions? What appointments do your partners go to with you? All of them? None of them? In my first go round my husband was working a pretty demanding, inflexible job and it was kind of a given upfront that he wouldn't be coming to any of them - not even my ultrasounds. His schedule is a lot more lax now but I'm not really sure what the "norm" is. I'm thinking I'll bring him to my first appointment this week but not sure if that's weird?
GTKY: What was your first job? Aside from lots and lots of babysitting I worked as a counselor at a summer art camp that my mom's BFF ran.
Upcoming Appointments? I have my 12 week appointment at Wednesday at 9:30 and I am so anxious!
TTGP Grad? Yep, from June 2019- may 2021, towards the end I mainly stayed in IF.
IF/RPL/High Risk? Secondary IF.
How are you feeling? Good! Some of my symptoms have started to let up a bit. Not all together but my nausea hasn’t been as bad. Still tired and having lots of ligament pain and fatigue.
Rants/Raves? My husband is on vacation starting Thursday of this week and we were going to try to get out and do things. But with cases of covid getting high, (and me still not being vaccinated) we’re gonna just do a stay-cation and maybe work on deciding paint colors and doing things around the house. Were going to visit some friends who just moved into their new place and help them move since we have a truck. I’ll probably just supervise. 😂 I’m am really anxious for my appt this week. PGAL is a serious mind fuck and I’m ready for some reassurance that things are going well.

GTKY: What was your first job? I did baby sitting as a teenager. But my first real job was at the dollar tree. It was terrible, but a good first job.
Upcoming Appointments? I have my intake appointment with my regular OB on Friday, and then my first trimester screening is next week.

How are you feeling? I feel like road kill. I swear the morning sickness is getting worse.
Rants/Raves? Raves: We have a really fun, busy weekend with the boys. I also got Pizza Ranch mashed potatoes last night. Rants: I'm getting tired of feeling sick. It's such a double edged sword because I'm so excited to be pregnant, but so ready for this part to be over. Of course if it disappears tomorrow, I'll worry about what that means.
Questions? How much does supplemental progesterone affect morning sickness? I've got another week of suppositories, so I'm really hoping that fixes this, but I'm not convinced they really make it that much worse.
GTKY: What was your first job? I didn't babysit a lot because kids weren't my thing when I was growing up, but I did a lot of pet sitting in the neighborhood. I loved taking care of everyone's dogs, cats, and fish.
@modoodles I'm glad your anxiety is better, and hopefully everyone is feeling better after the stomach bug hit.
@kaf1788 I'm glad your toddler didn't fight to put his shoes on today. Those phases/stages are rough. For appointments, DH goes to ultrasounds. Basically, if there isn't a picture, he isn't super interested in them. For my 1st trimester screening next week, he'll go with me to the ultrasound, but he'll leave after that. So I'll do the genetic counselor and blood work portions by myself. I think most partners go to the first appointment.
@photographerwife PGAL anxiety is the worst. I tried to explain it to someone the other day, and basically ended up just saying "Just imagine going to your appointment worried about getting bad news. Then it happens." So not the best explanation, but it was harder to explain than I thought it would be. It's also hard to believe that we're all getting close to being done with first trimester!
Upcoming Appointments? I had my u/s last week, so my next appointment is not until August 12, although I do need to go in for my blood work this week.
How are you feeling?
I'm constantly tired and nauseous. My OB said it should be just another week or two of feeling sick all the time, so I'm looking forward to that. Saturday was the worst I've felt all pregnancy, and stayed in bed almost all day. We haven't told family yet, but apparently my husband has mentioned to his mom a few too many times about me not feeling well over the past several weeks. She now thinks I may have a serious health concern that I need to go to the doctor for. I told him to go ahead and tell his family so she's not worried about my health.

The dryer in our new house broke a few days after we moved in. Thankfully we had our old washer & dryer being stored in my parent's garage. My dad brought them over yesterday, and helped my husband switch them out (our laundry room is on the second floor). He then offered to take the broken dryer to to the recycling center for us.

Like @makingbacon I wasn't much into babysitting kids as a teen but did pet sitting. My first real job was at a dog boarding place.
@makingbacon I asked my husband if he'd take me to Pizza Ranch for mashed potatoes, but he said that sounded weird.

How are you feeling? Sooooo sick today, the nausea is officially here and I got the lovely surprise of throwing up an apple this morning. I'm plus one for everyone who mentioned not being able to drink coffee, it's day 1 of not sitting right with my stomach and I'm DYING. Don't hate me but my other two pregnancies I only ever got slightly queasy with no actual puking but this one is hitting me harder for sure.
Rants/Raves? Feeling like dirt today, I just want to take a nap when I finally get out of this office and get to go home.
Questions? best remedies for nausea? I have clear soda, nibbling on saltines, should try some ginger but haven't made it that far yet.
GTKY: What was your first job? Dishwasher at a restaurant where we knew the owners, after a year I started waitressing as well when they needed the help. I worked at the same place all through highschool.

How are you feeling? Just eh. Nausea and exhaustion have been hit or miss. Finally was able to sleep decently last night which was great, could have slept 12 more hours pretty sure
Rants/Raves? Rants-This weekend we're going to MIL's house for the weekend for a memorial for DH's grandma. She passed during the winter (not COVID related) and because of COVID no service or anything was had. I just hate staying at MIL house because it's not very comfortable and none of us sleep well which is going to be challenging right now. They redid all of their floors with hardwood so it's so loud and they don't have curtains on their windows and the mattress we sleep on is the most uncomfortable hard thing I have ever laid on. Last time I was pregnant I literally was crying in the middle of the night when we stayed there because it made my hips hurt so bad I couldn't sleep. Obviously not going is not even a consideration but ugh, are curtains that much to ask for?
Raves-taking DS to the zoo tomorrow for the first time with my mom! I love the zoo and am so excited to see what he thinks of the animals. Am keeping my fingers crossed the nausea stays away so we can have a nice few hours together.
Questions? Just curious what you ladies think...is it poor form to announce at a memorial event? DH and I had considered telling his family we were expecting this weekend so it wouldn't be a big deal if I wanted to lay down or couldn't eat lunch meat or anything but now he's changed his mind because it's a service for his grandma and he thinks it's inappropriate. I told him it's 100% his decision and I'll figure out what I have to, NBD. I would never consider it if she passed recently and this was a funeral but since it's been 8 months, from my understanding a celebration of her life more than a somber service thing, and probably the only time apart from weddings that all of his aunts and uncles would be together I thought it would have been a nice surprise. Fun or faux pas?
GTKY: What was your first job? Besides babysitting, my first job was at a movie theater. First in concession and selling tickets and then as a projectionist running the movies. I loved that job!
@kaf1788 Claps for DS giving you a few easy days! I think it's totally normal for your husband to go to a first appointment...DH went to all of my appointments with my first pregnancy until COVID hit. Now I'm wondering if that was weird
@effie0513 your poor MIL will be so excited when she finds aren't you aren't having health issues! hopefully your feeling better soon!
@angelob88 Don't have any other remedies to try but sometimes forcing myself to move around or taking a short walk outside helps me feel better...but that probably is not a good idea if it's deathly hot near you right now. They say morning sickness peaks at 9-10 weeks so hopefully you're on the downhill slide soon!
We're trying to figure out when to announce to my family. My sister's family just got back from vacation, and leaves for another one next week, so I wanted to try and get everyone together this weekend and announce. My husband is saying it's still too soon (it's not... I'll be 12 weeks), but then we won't be able to get everyone together until August 9... Which seems so late to announce to family. So I get having differing ideas of when to announce.

@effie0513 I stuck to the 12 weeks, I think if your comfortable take advantage, I'm sure the family would also want to know sooner than later.
@makingbacon It's hard to say, my first pregnancy I didn't have morning sickness, this one I did and it greatly reduced not long after I stopped the progesterone.
@kaf1788 None are weird! It's whatever you feel comfortable. My husband came to ultrasounds unless he couldn't due to work. I personally didn't mind doing stuff on my own but that's just my personality. I think if they are interested though, have them go!

How are you feeling? Not too bad. Symptoms have really let up since stopping progesterone & estrogen Thursday last week.

How are you feeling? Pretty terrible. I hate complaining about it because it feels like it is all I talk about but it's tough. I thought I was over the vomiting but then the last two days that came back.
Rants/Raves? Rant: I was craving a local Mexican restaurant's salad last night but was super nervous that I'd get sick (and that would be a terrible one to get sick off of). I was able to keep it down (barely!) Wahoo! Rant: I keep holding out hope that my symptoms will calm down since I'm nearing the end of the first trimester and get disheartened when they don't. Between trying to plan a wedding (3.5 weeks!), help a struggling SS (who just got a concussion yesterday), to this pregnancy taking every ounce of me-- I feel very worn out.
Questions? Has anyone had to take more serious nausea medicine? I've read different viewpoints on Zofran-- it makes me nervous to think about being sick on my wedding day but I also don't want to take something that may effect the baby.
GTKY: What was your first job? I babysat a ton from 12-17. My first official job was with American Express, upgrading Business Gold members to Business Platinum. It was a great first job because they offered tuition reimbursement and paid really well (hello, call center!)
@modoodles @kaf1788 sorry you guys have been sick! That is so hard on top of pregnancy. @angelob88 TMI but I've also thrown up an apple with no water in my belly. It was so awful. I'm sorry! I told myself that I'd guzzle a gallon of water every night (that's when I'm sickest) to insure that never happens again. I have no recommendations for nausea other than I think b6 and unisom help but they aren't a cure all for me. @gardenvariety88 I think that a memorial is fine to announce your pregnancy! Celebration of lives, I like that! @JWatt5 what doppler do you have? I've considered one because I get so anxious knowing how the baby is!
