It’s actually beautiful here, but it’s not keeping me from being annoyed at my RE’s office. I sent a question to the PA that I see and the nurse intercepted it and gave me an answer that wasn’t what I was asking. So now it’s like I have to be like thanks but no, and convince her that she actually has to pass my question along to the PA. I’m pretty sure everyone at that office hates me.

I online ordered a sub in a bowl from Cousins Subs and they messed up my order! I wanted iceberg lettuce instead of their standard spring green mix. I didn't get pepperoncinis but did get pepperoni. I'm now realizing they likely misread the order and that's why I got the pepperoni (which costs extra haha).

I was most bummed about not getting the iceberg lettuce. The spring mix has a lot of weird things in it, making it not appealing to me. I still ate the entire thing though haha.

@inthewoods23 ohhhhhh I’m not a spring mix fan! Give me boring lettuce! Props to you for eating it. It always reminds me of weeds!

@sammygirl18 I had to look up what it's all made of to find out which types of greens are the worst to me.

The worst offender - frisee lettuce. I'd rather eat the disgusting stuff on Fear Factor than this green.

Next would probably be mizuna. I think what gets me the most is how pokey the leaves can be. Plus it doesn't taste like anything. Everything else in a spring mix is either good or just alright.

@inthewoods23 I love spring mix and would happily eat either of the things you pictured. Iceberg makes me want to barf. So funny how tastes are so different! But definitely a bummer when your lunch isn’t what you ordered and were looking forward to!

@bows22 and @inthewoods23 I do not like spring mix but also don't like iceberg. I like red leaf lettuce the best, or just regular leaf lettuce. Basically the awesomely wavy not super crunchy/rigid lettuce

@bows22 While I was looking it up I did find that there's no set combination that makes up spring mix. The spring mix that comes in a bag at the grocery store is fine (it doesn't contain the frisee or if it does it's in smaller pieces). 

@SmashJam my salad preference would be romaine. DH is a weirdo and likes the yellower parts of the leaf. He likes the extra crunch from the stem/stalk. I think red leaf lettuce is often part of spring mixes.

The romaine reminded me about all those recalls for listeria that happened some time ago which then reminded me about an incident that happened while we were on vacation last week. I made a quick comment to DH during a conversation that I need to return the Tyson frozen chicken we have since it's part of that huge recall for possible listeria. I can't recall at all what my future BIL said, but he thought listeria was something completely different. He did a "oh, are you talking about that (thing I can't remember)?". Whatever it was left me scratching my head like how TF could he think it was this other thing. It wasn't even like he was confusing it with some other word that sounded similar to listeria. I'm like no, it's a bacteria that can make you really sick like salmonella. That he understood, thank god.
