Where are you from? I was a military brat until I was 4, born in Australia, then lived in Italy, then moved to where I've lived to date which is the Tampa, Florida area.
What is something special about where you live?
Um, my town nothing that I know of. If you like sports, which I'm not really into, Tampa seems to be doing well right now Oh, the town right next to me is known as a carnival town. While it's growing and turning more into a typical suburb, for the longest the carnival workers lived there...with elephants and all.
If you could move anywhere, where would you move to? Ugh so many places lol. I've always wanted to move but it's not an option right now. I don't want snow, but I want to live somewhere colder.
@alylove11 I want to own property somewhere in the mountains! I think it is so beautiful also!
@JWatt5 Definitely on my bucket list to visit Canada
What is something special about where you live? ehhhhhh Im not really liking Maryland anymore so its hard to say
If you could move anywhere, where would you move to? Id like to move somewhere by mountains and lakes, mild seasons but we will be moving to Tampa in a few years because thats where DH wants to move and he can transfer there pretty easily most likely. @bloomer0060 where is this carnival town? haha
What is something special about where you live? The next town over is where America was discovered! As for more broader things, we are about 45 minutes outside of Boston, which is known for a lot, LOL. I used to be able to brag about our sports teams, (you're welcome @bloomer0060) but that doesn't hold too much weight now.
If you could move anywhere, where would you move to? We want to eventually move to FL. I have family in the St Augustine area, so most likely close to them, while also being closer to Disney. With how things have been going with both my work and DH's, we might make that move sooner than we thought, but most likely in the next few years.

What is something special about where you live? Aside from all the cool history I love that in 15 minutes I can be downtown in a major city, in a really cool hiking area, or at the ocean.
If you could move anywhere, where would you move to? San Diego - I would die for mild weather year round.
I was born in Newfoundland Canada on a US Naval base. I only lived there for 3 years so I don't remember what, I grew up in a small Wisconsin town.
Where I live now has a dutch windmill in the middle of the village that is original to it's founding, there are also a lot of good walking paths along the dams where the river flows.
I would move to Colorado, or something in the mountains. I enjoy living close to a larger city now but long term goal would be to live somewhere quiet and a little more secluded. I love staying up at the cabin over the summer.

Currently live: we live in the Tampa metro area and are an hour from theme parks and good beaches. It’s a geographical oddity
Want to live: New Zealand is on the short list. I haven’t been that impressed with the US’s pandemic response, and I’m a bleeding heart liberal. But also, I moved out of the Midwest to the South for a reason (and it ain’t politics) ☀️
Not a whole lot. Arkansas is the natural state and that definitely rings true. It’s beautiful! I’m within 30 minutes of 3 lakes, and minutes from a river. There is a lot of hunting, Hiking, biking etc.. in our state. And we get all 4 seasons, mostly. Less snow. I live in a pretty stereotypical small town, with lots of southern ladies and rednecks. The political scene is rough, but we are working on it! My generation is definitely taking big steps away from our grandparents ways.
If you could move anywhere, where would you move to? I’d love to live near the beach, Hawaii or something. for a short time anyway.
Born in Texas, moved to Iowa when I was around 10 years old. Currently live in Iowa.
What is something special about where you live?
We live a couple of miles from the Mississippi River and I don't know how special it is, but our area is well-known for everything outdoors. Fishing, hiking, camping, skiing...
If you could move anywhere, where would you move to?
I'd say somewhere south because I hate the cold, buuuut I don't want to live in an even more conservative area than I already live in, plus more populous cities and towns are not for me. So I guess I'm good for now.
@livingoffpbjs haha the town is called Gibsonton. If you even google carni or carnival town it will come up It's now turning into a typical suburban area so things are changing though.
@bloomer0060 ha! I had no idea, every now and then I check out the real estate around Tampa to get ideas when we move in a couple years and Ive looked at houses there (online)
@livingoffpbjs that's too funny! Yeah they are building a ton of neighborhoods, it used to be a lot more rural. What is fun is that during the actual shutdown, because no one was having any fairs, they set up an area with the food trucks with all the fair food, so you could indulge right down the street. So it has perks
Born in Barrington, Illinois but moved to Texas when I was 4ish and lived there (Garland and Arlington) until 14. Then we moved to Florida and I've essentially been here ever since except for a short stint at Boston College before transferring to a cheaper college (like 100% cheaper) closer to home in FL.
What is something special about where you live?
I live in Celebration, FL. It's technically the town that Disney built, but they're not really involved anymore. It's just a ten minute drive from Disney World so I guess that makes it kind of special. I do love going to the parks (pre-pandemic...not quite ready to go back since my 8 yo isn't vaxed yet), but there's obvious downsides. Traffic, confused drivers, everything geared toward tourists, etc.
If you could move anywhere, where would you move to? Ireland, New Zealand, a city like Boston or New York for a bit, anywhere with mountains so I can go hiking. Some place with seasons but maybe not tons of snow. San Francisco for the year round cooler weather. Basically if it's different from FL, I'd love to live there for a bit. But I'd most likely always end up back here in Celebration like a home base or something.
Where are you from? Indiana originally ( @alylove11 All my family is still there!)
What is something special about where you live?
Now I live within walking distance of Lake Superior. It’s a pretty beautiful spot!
If you could move anywhere, where would you move to? Colorado, if I can find a place that’s not too crowded! I’ve lived in Boulder, Keystone, and Colorado Springs, and I really miss the mountains!

We have a lot of great attractions that are also free... Free zoo, art museum, science center... And the outdoor theater has a free seats section.
Somewhere more scenic, either in the mountains or by the ocean.
@angelz429 hi!
