I haven't started a Pinterest board yet but I know for sure it will be some sort of Disney Parks themed nursery. Either Tomorrowland or Frontierland for a boy, and Fantasyland/Main Street for a girl.
Ahhh @fifilala516 I LOVE that idea. LOVE. A friend of mine decorated her playroom with vintage looking Disneyland posters, it was such a cute idea. Ahh. Now I want to do your idea! 😭
Our nursery probably won’t change too much, although part of me wants to repaint and make it more girly, even though I’m not all that girly? I’m so conflicted. But both my boys used that nursery and I just kept it a woodland theme for both kids. I think woodland still works for a girl… I might add a few girly touches to it, with sheets and a throw blanket on the rocker… we’ll see. Maybe I’ll take pictures and you guys can help with ideas on how to keep the paint but make it a little bit more girly.
For my first, our theme was elephants with teal, grey, and yellow. We had a teal accent wall where the crib was and then the rest was a light grey. We're not changing paint for this one, but adding lavender and yellow accents. I'm going to redo the box valence and crib skirt/rail cover, but other than that, we're not doing much for decor. I'll also move the baby elephant canvases back to the nursery from my son's room since we're updating his room for a big kid.
@Lisa3379 I just started Pinteresting and I'm obsessed. We have space above the bedroom door and I want to do some sort of sign. I thought of doing "To infinity and beyond" for a Tomorrowland nursery and I started to tear up.
With my son we did a space/ Star Wars nursery and it was adorable. For this one I plan on doing a very girly pink flowery nursery with hints of Disney princesses. Picks in spoiler Since they are huge
These are all such cute ideas. My husband and I both are huge sports fans and have tons of memorabilia (autographed helmets, balls, etc…) that now that we know it’s gonna be a boy it will be a sports themed nursery. Cute way for us to finally display all our stuff too!!
For my son we had a sports theme nursery. I wanted something he could grow with and since he’s into sports we have a lot of it still up. But he’s 7 now and into 80s rock bands and horror movies so there’s a lot of Freddys and Jason’s and Gunz n Roses mixed in now. 😝 (Don’t judge me, he’s going to be the next Stephen King)
My daughter had just a floral theme of Hydrangeas. Her room was actually a pinkish Lilac but these are old crappy cell pics since it was forever ago now 😫
This baby is going to be in a little mini crib at the end of my bed till he’s sleeping through the night and I can ship him off to his brother’s room. The third one always gets shafted. Big brother’s excited for bunk beds and to share his room. One of my friends said how are you going to put a baby in a room filled with horror stuff, but I’m not too worried.
If I were to do a theme it’d be a woodland theme/brown beads. I already bought blankets and sheets and a mobile. And any clothes with bears on them! So he has somewhat of his own theme 😆
My husband and I are giant nerds so we are doing "Oh the places you'll go" but all the places are from Sci/Fi and Fantasy (Rivendell, Tardis, Hogwarts, Naboo, ect). We rent so its just going to be wall art/ décor as opposed to painting anything.
