July Symptoms

How is everyone doing? My symptoms have all but virtually disappeared- i lost six pounds from being so sick - still getting nauseous but it’s been over a week since i have thrown up. Very tired but that is it! Also, maybe TMI any have a lot of vaginal discharge?

Re: July Symptoms

  • SO much vaginal discharge. My morning sickness has all but dissipated but I still have some food aversions. Constipation has reared its ugly head again.

My boobs are killing me, especially when I’m cold. And I am very uncomfortable at night so I may have to bite the bullet soon and get a pregnancy pillow.

Yes, lots of discharge. Still nauseated at night, and minimal appetite. But definitely more energy!

@fifilala516 I slept with a pregnancy pillow for the first time this pregnancy, last night and it was glorious. I had lent mine to a friend, but I don't know who. Luckily a different friend who just had a baby gave me hers so I didn't have to buy a new one!

  • @fifilala516 I still can’t be around or think of uncooked meat with gagging- yuck and italian food makes me gag- I think it’s because I threw it up on one of my bad days
  • I'm definitely doing better than I was a few weeks ago, but still not 100%. Still gagging while brushing my teeth, for example. But my energy is getting better. And yes, the discharge SUCKS.
  • Ahh yes to the discharge, and I also just bought a pregnancy pillow on Prime day and love it!!! I bring it with me around the house. I’m starting to get more reflux and migraines.. ohh and lots of nasal congestion in the mornings. Fun times!
  • Do you all have recommendations for certain pregnancy pillows? The number of different kinds is kind of overwhelming!

Nausea seems to be on it's way out, thankfully. Although I still have bouts of random gagging from time to time.
I can also confirm that lots of discharge seems to be the norm!
  • @lilyfox, I had a snoogle for my first pregnancy, and now I have one of the U shaped ones (not sure the brand). I like the u shape better because I often flip from my left to right side in the middle of the night. With the snoogle I had to flip the pillow with me, which was annoying.

I also needed a cover that wasn't super fuzzy because with it being summer, I didn't want to be extra hot.

  • Ooh, I have a new one! Sciatica. Holy hell, am I in pain. I feel like this is WAY too early to feel this type of pain. Hopefully my kids won’t be totally insane today and will let me chill on the couch with a heating pad for awhile.
  • We got our cell free dna results and all was good! 🙏🏻🎉 still having some nausea every day but definitely wayyyy better than it was! Seem to have a bit more energy too! I don’t have a ton of discharge so hopefully that doesn’t mean something is wrong with me 🤷‍♀️
  • @chelswcu12 Thank your lucky stars you don't have that going on! Glad to hear about your results :)
  • My due date is the end of Jan, at 11w4d I’m still quite nauseous and so tired all the time hoping things get better soon.
  • thought I was getting my energy back so I tried to actually get stuff done this weekend... Uff. Hit a fatigue wall big time with the pleasant addition of a splitting headache! 😵
So instead of getting anything done, I am binge watching old seasons of Rupaul's Drag Race 😂

Last week at 11 weeks I felt like I was starting to feel better but this week (12w) I am feeling nauseous still and really have to watch what I eat. I feel my best in the morning and by supper time I either do not eat or eat very light. I have lost 6 pounds in the last month. I also can't eat supper if I cook it myself. Lunch is fine, but not supper. I've also experienced the worst heartburn and acid reflux I've ever had. My doctor won't let me take anything other than Tums or Pepcid. I've been trying some things on my own and have found that eating half an apple in the evening has helped out a bit. I hate to complain but the last 3 months have been very hard. I have not felt well for the entire 3 months and I get overwhelmed to think there are 6 months to go because I feel like time is moving so slow! I just wish I felt better, I have been missing out on so many things I love.
  • @lilyfox same - I finally decided to do a major event and now im laid out on the couch exhausted- i am hoping to start swimming again after my next u/s (i have been on and off bed rest since 6 weeks) if everything comes back good!

  • @nik012 I feel your pain! I’m 12 weeks today and last week I was feeling great and this weekend I’ve been in bed all weekend. The thought of 6 more months of this makes me want to cry! I hope you start feeling better soon! 🙏🏻💙💕
  • I thought the fatigue was supposed to relax? I'm more tired than I've ever been.
  • I am def more tired and OMG the acid reflux is killing me.  Made the mistake of having pizza last night and then laying down to watch TV.  I was in agony- took two tums and sat up and after 30 minutes finally subsided. But I keep hoping that soon I will feel better but I know it’s all worth it in the end.
  • @nik012 Ugh, same! I’ve felt like garbage pretty much every single day since the start of week 5, the nausea doesn’t want to go away and I’ve been SO tired all the time. The thought of 6 more months of this is depressing, but really hoping 2nd tri brings relief 🤞🏻
  • I'm at 14w2d and the morning sickness and food aversions seem to be subsiding.  I have been taking Unisom and B6 since about week 10 and that helped a ton! Still a little afraid to drop that until maybe next week.  I do get pretty nauseous still when I get hungry - which seems to be all the time now. Not quite as tired until I do one of my OTF workouts; then I'm beat! Overall pretty happy that there seems to be some light at the end of the tunnel
  • My heart goes out to all you ladies 💕. Hang in there!
I've gained at least 6 pounds cause all I do is eat!..no morning sickness here.. but definitely have fatigue. I got winded walking up two flights of stairs this morning. Started lifting weights again though, hope I can get back into shape a bit so I can have stamina for the birth 😂😅.
I had a huge mood swing last week.. just stressing out. I'm feeling better now though. At 13 weeks and 1 day today & measuring on track at the US this morning 🤗
  • Still nauseated in the mornings and evenings but it’s more manageable so I’m almost back up to my pre-pregnancy weight.

I’m still exhausted but that may also be in large part because my daughter has been boycotting sleep.

My hair is falling out. Which is weird. And I’m breaking out. So I’m guessing that’s a no on the glowing skin and thick hair this time around 🙄

Oh and I’m just perpetually frustrated and ready to snap.

    Having fun. Lots of fun.
  • @MrsJessS I never got nice skin. It was always break out city over here and this pregnancy does not look like it’s any different.
  • @MrsJessS YES!! I'm shedding my hair like crazy.. handfuls in the shower, in the car, on the couch.. all the time! What's the deal? I don't think I did this the first pregnancy.. is it a second pregnancy thing? My first is 18 months old ... 🤔
  • Add me to the "why the hell is my hair falling out?" club. Third pregnancy.
  • My face is all broken out and my hair is falling out as well! I thought maybe the hair falling out had to do with weaning my son from breastfeeding, which I stopped about 4 weeks ago; but it sounds like a lot of us have it!  I definitely don't remember it happening with my first pregnancy at this point!
  • Wow! Sorry everyone else is losing their hair too, but kinda glad I’m not alone!
  • Has anyone take. 100 mg of Unisom? I haven’t slept in days - I just want to take some unsiom and pass out tonight
  • @relizabethp I only take 50mg. Are you having a hard time falling asleep or staying asleep? I always have insomnia with pregnancy and I add melatonin to my night meds and it tends to do the trick. I can also take it if I wake up in the middle of the night as long as I still have a few hours of sleep left.
  • @beckylookatherbump im having a problem with both - im only getting a couple hours each night- I normally do 50 mg- but i just want on night of full sleep
  • This is my 3rd but I started feeling movement last week 🥰 especially late at night
  • @relizabethp - I’m with you!  It’s just a few hours every night.  I’ve only done half a tab of unisom.  The other night I tried Benadryl though bc I read you can take more.  Sadly it didn’t work for a full nights sleep.  I’m up at 5:30 now as I write this lol.
  • @karenmarie9 i was also thinking of doing benadryl - I still might try tonight- i was up off and on all night 😪
  • I am part of the can't-sleep-club. 😩 Unisom seems to only help me fall asleep, which isnt usually the issue. It's the waking up wide awake at 4 am that seems to be the reoccurring struggle. Meanwhile my husband has zero problem sleeping in...
  • I’m up at 230/3 every night like clockwork. It’s so annoying! I had this problem pre-pregnancy too but pregnancy seems to exacerbate it.
  • @fifilala516 I wake up at that time too! I can't usually fall back asleep until 5😭.  It's terrible!
  • How is everyone feeling? Is anyone having little to no symptoms. I hate not being able to feel the baby and not know what’s going on in there

I've been looking forward to the August symptoms thread to see how everyone else is feeling! 🙂

@relizabethp I am having very few symptoms. Some lightheadedness and dizziness if I stand up too fast. More appetite now, but still not wanting much meat. Feeling some movement from time to time. Now that I'm 18 weeks, I'm hoping to feel her move more consistently.

I was glad to have an ultrasound this past week because I was starting to have anxiety about not knowing how things were going. It was reassuring to hear her heartbeat and see her moving.

  • @relizabethp, yea not too much either here..  some fatigue when walking up hills, my round ligament gets irritated when I get up too fast, my butt is definitely bigger, still eating a ton.. today I was on my feet most of the day, so they are sore. Still am shedding my hair like crazy. It's gross.
    I'm 16 weeks tomorrow a have a checkup in a few days!
  • My symptoms are largely minimal now.
Though, I was laying on the living room floor this afternoon with my legs out straight and on my back. I sneezed and felt like I ripped my abs. God, that hurt.
I do have some significant round ligament pain on some days. Other days I have nothing.
Still a bit fatigued, but not like it was. I'm able to get some housework done finally.
