I’m sorry-I too struggle with anxiety. I went off my anxiety meds when I got my BFP. One thing that’s really helped me lately is taking my dog for a walk (and no kids!) and listening to an audiobook. It’s my new fav self care.
  • I have not been able to work out because of restrictions but I know once i get moving ill
    be better!

  • Anxiety is the worst!  I am heavily dependent on exercise to manage mine.  I swim 4 times a week and it’s literally my therapy and help keeps me balanced.  I’m also a big fan of meditations - I’ll just put one on YouTube on my phone and lay in bed.  That also helps me when laying in bed not able to sleep- I’ll do a sleep meditation and tell myself just resting is ok.  Good luck!
  • Highly recommend the DARE app, meditation, talking it out with a friend, paying attention to what brings you joy. This is something I've struggled with my entire life as well. Change is a big trigger for me.
  • I also struggle with anxiety and pregnancy has certainly ramped it up. What I find helpful is finding activities where I can be fully present in the moment. I love @amanda690373 's suggestion of paying attention to what brings you joy. This is a great way to find the right activities for you. I often find myself the most present and mindful when I am using my hands to create something - writing, drawing, crafting, cooking, etc. Most of all tune into your body -- even when you are experiencing anxiety. Notice what your body is feeling and be curious about it.
  • I struggle with anxiety as well (so much so that I am still on my meds). Getting a bit of exercise, especially outdoors, can be great. It does not have to be strenuous, just a simple walk. If it gets bad enough you really should talk to your doctor about pregnancy safe medications. I know we never want to take anything that may harm our littles. But, your health and safety is just as important, you can’t take care of them if you aren’t taking care of yourself! Hope you find some relief, know that you are not alone!!
