Re: TTGP Grad Check-In 6.18

  • How far along are you? 7+1 today!

Upcoming Appointments? next Friday is my first prenatal and they confirmed it will have u/s. I had an appt earlier this week with my GP and they did a beta that I'm still waiting for results from

Cravings/Symptoms? recently I've noticed a lot of craving sweet stuff, not candy but ice cream and cakes and cookies, those sorts of things. the nausea is also starting to really kick in.

How are you doing? Rants/Raves/Randoms? I'm doing well! sometimes my moods are swinging but I can honestly say that overall I am happy. I found out yesterday that one of my stepsisters is also PG...and due at the same time I am...we even have our first appts on the same day xD so wild.

Questions? not really! still feeling like I'm getting into a groove and believing that this is actually happening
  • <div>How far along are you?  6+2

</div><div>Upcoming Appointments?  Monday 6/21: 6.5 week HB scan at the RE.  <3  I think we will have one more a week later, and that will be Graduation Day!  I pushed my first MW apt out to 10 weeks so I can get another scan then, and then after would be the 12 week NT scan... and then EIGHT WEEKS til the AS.  That is going to be a brutal wait.

</div><div>Cravings/Symptoms?  Mostly, it's been salty/spicy, like I have been having a little dish of kimchi every morning, but today I finally made myself a chocolate smoothie in the afternoon, since that had been on my mind.  Other than that, I'm just exhausted. lol  And bloated.  Who knew a baby the size of a lentil could already make me feel so huge!

</div><div>How are you doing? Rants/Raves/Randoms?  I ordered a few new pants to try, since my regular loungepants are getting a little worn, and I don't always want to wear them out of the house. Something with loungepant comfort, but a little more polish would be nice!  I'll have to report back what works.  (Still on the hunt for the perfect linen pant...)  So far, an olive color pant came in, and it feels so soft!  I hope it fits.  I also dug out an armload of summer dresses, a couple of which I forgot I had, because they are maternity friendly, jut not nursing friendly.  So this is the season to wear them!  There's another bin up there with some tops I think will be good to mix in, and otherwise I may have work on filling up a donate bag while I'm at it, too.

</div><div>Questions?  Is anyone else as tired as I am tired?  lol

@chgilmore  Aw, I'm so glad it's starting to feel real for you!  That is so fun that you and your stepsister are due at the same time!  What an exciting time for your whole family :)</div>

  • @BusinessWife haha well neither of us has told the other so that'll be fun! that's a long wait coming up wow! 8 weeks! But also some scans coming up soon too :) pls keep us posted on the pants 👀 I am definitely tired a lot of the time. Some days I can make it to bedtime, some days I need a 3 hour nap and still go to bed early.
  • How far along are you? 5+5

Upcoming Appointments? My referral for OB and neurology just went through, so I'm going to call tomorrow and set up both appointments.

Cravings/Symptoms? Extra tired, and ragey-hungry. My boobs are on FIRE, too. Not really craving anything. At this point, all food just tastes blah, so I'm only really eating to stave off nausea. I was like this last time. I didn't start having specific cravings until close to my second trimester.

How are you doing? Rants/Raves/Randoms? I'm doing pretty good. I downloaded an app called Sweepy (not sure if I mentioned this before), and it's helping me stay on top of the stuff around the house that I want to do. I have a terrible tendency to get overwhelmed by it all, and then wind up choosing to do nothing. Then the shame spiral sets in because I didn't get anything done. It's a vicious cycle. Sweepy helps me break things down into various increments and days that I do stuff. Plus, I'm very driven by checking stuff off a list, so this is right up my alley. And I don't feel guilty resetting something to a different due date if I've already accomplished something else, if that makes sense.
Also, a rave - our friend was getting rid of her son's crib, so we scored baby #2's crib & mattress w/cover for only $65! So, now we just have to move our guest room to our office so that we can start working on the second nursery. Andplusalso, it's so surreal to be doing this again so soon.

    Questions? Nope!

  • Ooh!  That ap sounds great! @babyodo I started Duolingo which has been a gateway for me to other random apps. Lol I was doing a little Happy Color, and tried this interior design game yesterday, but I have a couple more productive ones I haven't tried yet. 😬 I might have to look for that!  I can get kinda bogged down with the housework now that I'm WFH, so maybe something like that might help keep me on track and feel like I'm getting somewhere (especially for the stuff that feels kinda thankless lol).
  • @babyodo I hear you on the not doing anything shame spiral! MH and I use Quire to track tasks together, but I'm curious about Sweepy!
