I’m playing catch up at work the next few days. I was out at the conference most of last week, so now I’m attempting to dig through my inbox and get everything answered/completed. My first ultrasound is on Wednesday morning, and I’m so nervous. Otherwise, I switched seasons out for both boys’ dressers and closets, so that’s nice. My oldest dresses himself, and not having to remind him “It’s too warm for pants and sweatshirts” will be nice.
@makingbacon switching out the closets for a new season is one of my favorite chores - it's like I went shopping but for free lol. Eeeeee excited to hear about your u/s!!!
Appointment in an hour and I'm a wreck. I am reminded why I dislike afternoon appointments. Way too much time before to worry and wait. Other than that I have so many things on my to-do list and I don't want to do any of it. So very unmotivated right now.
@angelz429 same. I saw a ring sling I absolutely drooled over when it was woven a few years ago for sale the other day and had to completely talk myself out of getting it to hoard to this baby.
DS2 is miserable today. Poor guy was up half the night coughing and then woke up this morning with a fever. He’s currently in his happy place, sitting on me under my fuzzy blanket.
Sorry it took me so long to update. I did just post an actual update on the ultrasound thread, but all went well, just kind of unexpected and trying to wrap our minds around it.
@kmb0108 I commented in the other thread but it’s worth saying twice😉 Im so excited for you!!!
DS2 is feeling so much better today after having a few rounds of antibiotics. My day started with the dealership *finally* calling about my car. It needs the throttle body replaced and the gave me a list of other stuff including air filters and other BS i would never pay dealership prices to have completed trying to get me to approve additional services. I declined and said just fix the throttle body so I can finally have my car back (it’s been 2 weeks since this all started). The guy who called me literally hung up and immediately called my husband to go through the entire thing again and ask for his approval like he would give a different answer than me. And he probably did- his answer was probably less polite and more of an eff that. I’m not paying you for sh*t I can do. Are you effing kidding me!? Does my vagina mean I don’t get to make decisions about my vehicle!? (Idk if we’re allowed to swear in the bump so I censored😂)
Also my dad just texted me that my parents are in the ER because my mom is having some severe upper abdominal pain.
Idk if this is necessary but TW: miscarriage
when I miscarried in January a few hours before my dad texted us all that my parents were heading up to Ohio because my Nana wasn’t doing well. She has Alzheimer’s and was really struggling at the time. They convinced my Papa to finally get a home health aid and things are better now. But this text about me mom is reminding me of January and my MC a lot.
@fuscok88 I'm so sorry! That's a lot! I feel you with the car pain, we got a brand new Ford Explorer 6 months ago and it has had a slew of problems (brake recall, coolant leak, A/C broke in 100 degree weather, rattling in the dashboard). It's such a frustrating industry to work with because I definitely feel like they give you the run around.
I'm sorry to hear of your mom. That's stressful. Try your best to rest and relax. Thinking of you and your family!
@fuscok88 I'm glad kiddo is starting to feel better after antibiotics! the car stuff is so frustrating! I can't believe it's been 2 weeks already and you're experiencing such blatant sexist treatment. just...wow. I'm sorry. and all of this on top of the dejas vous feeling with your mom. fx all turns out well for you and the family
Thanks everyone. I’m super frustrated about the car and sexism especially since it is MY car, not my husbands so really why are they asking for his approval at all? I cannot wait to pick it up and be done with this dealership. Also I’m not ignorant about vehicles. When I was in my 20s and poor like typical college students/recent grads trying to pay back student loans I did all my vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting. So when I had the code read at the auto parts store originally I had thought it was going to be an issue with the throttle position sensor or throttle body (which is the problem). I tried to talk my husband into just fixing it but I’m not super familiar with GMC and he was like it’s under warranty just bring it in and then the light was flashing which of course google says is super bad😂. I feel duped and if it was safe to drive I would just go get it and handle the problem myself.
Also my parents are on their way home. A CAT scan showed some gallbladder inflammation but not serious enough to need immediate surgery.
Lastly, we’re getting some much needed sun after a couple days of ran so the minions and I are weeding and bubble mowing the lawn.
Oh my gosh, the March board is up! <img alt="Oprah Winfrey Omg GIF - Find Share on GIPHY" src="https://external-content.duckduckgo.com/iu/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fmedia.giphy.com%2Fmedia%2FEWGVEOwZIk8yA%2Fgiphy.gif&f=1&nofb=1"> Somehow seeing the new BMBs start popping up makes me feel like we are getting somewhere in our own pregnancies...
@makingbacon@BusinessWife I feel that! I found out at 3+3 and that was almost 4 weeks ago so...March 2022 is definitely possible! super super early, but possible
Re: Weekly randoms 6.14.2021
This is related to symptoms but it's all I've got rn lol
I took DS2 to his pediatrician because he started pointing to his ears and telling me they hurt and owww. Double ear infection😱. Poor guy!!
