Still waiting!

I haven’t been on here in awhile but we just did our 5 year update. Our file hasn’t been shown in 6 months I’m starting to get frustrated with the entire journey. My husband and I have talked about this being our last year on the wait list. Covid is not helping with wait I can’t wait to go on vacation!

I'm sorry this process has been so long and frustrating for you.  What type of adoption are you pursuing?

Domestic adoption. I knew the journey could tough and long but not this long. Then 3 of our friends announced that they are expecting which I had a melt down.

It is still a very serious problem that all the covid ended up putting on pause many of the things such as adoption lists, something that is not known when it will start again.

Frustrated with the 6-month wait for adoption update. Considering it our last year. Hoping for a vacation soon amid Covid.

That sounds really tough, and it’s completely understandable to feel frustrated after waiting so long. Five years is a huge commitment, and not seeing progress for six months would wear on anyone. Covid delays made everything slower, but hopefully things are picking up again soon. Taking a break or planning that vacation sounds like a great way to recharge while you decide what’s next.
