Struggling to be-friend other single parents? (by circumstance)

Hello everyone,
I'm a 31-year old single dad. My son was born via surrogate + egg donor, long story how I ended up on this path to parenthood. For anyone curious or wanting to know more about it, follow my vlog series below:

Long story short I didn't have too many options and was weight listed quite low due to my single status and presumably my gender from many adoption agencies. My greatest struggle right now seems to be making friends with other single parents, particularly single parents by circumstance seem to lose interest in being friends with me once they know my story. Is it off-putting to single parents by circumstances to meet single parents who choose to lone parent?
