I figured we could start these posts now. When I was a FTM, we had these threads on that BMB and they were super helpful, because I had no idea about anything, haha. So...
What are some products you've used (or maybe heard were great) that make pregnancy a bit more comfortable? Anything to help with nausea? Maternity clothes (not that any of us are "showing", but the bloat is for real)? Pregnancy pillows?
I loved my pregnancy pillow (snoogle) with my first. I lent it to someone along the way and I don't know who, so I need to buy a new one. Not sure if I want to get the same one or get one of the U shaped pillows this time.
I also couldn't live without my bellaband. I HATED maternity pants with panels. My hips weren't big enough to hold them up, so I was constantly tugging on them. I ended up just wearing my regular pants with a bella band my entire pregnancy. **Disclaimer, I only made it to 34 weeks, so I never got HUGE.
@Lisa3379, I love Amazon dresses! I have one on right now and it's SO comfortable. I should be able to wear though my pregnancy. It's a short sleeve with pockets. I own 3 of them!
@magalina_h Those dresses are cute! I'll have to check those out. And I also had the Snoogle and it was awesome, and then I gave it to my dog, lol! I'm going to have to take that back and hope that I only need to wash the cover for it to be ok again
Been using this belly oil. (I start using belly oil early on, did this with DS and no stretch marks) Anyhow I love this brand from H A T C H Mama. It is clean. And the bottle makes me feel super fancy. It is a little pricey, but I would say we'll worth it! It absorbs into your skin fast leaving you feel soft and smooth and not oiley and sticky.
I love the Burts Bees belly butter. It was the only thing that stopped the insane itching when my belly grew with my previous two kids.
Always the super high full belly bottoms. Anything with the little side elastic inserts just falls off me. But for summer I’m living in flowy sun dresses
I really liked Lily Nichols' book "Real Food for Pregnancy". I liked that she uses research to update pregnancy nutrition guidelines. I might even read it again.. but it is easy to navigate.. so I use it as a quick reference a bunch.
1. The these are my favorite “around the house bras” for when everything just got too sore to not wear a bra. I know there’s a million on Amazon that look just like this but they aren’t as supportive. This brand also makes great tank tops as well.
2. I’ll see if I can find the pregnancy pillow my husband bought last time. It was a U-shaped pillow that was actually long enough to comfortably fit between my knees. Most are too short (I bought 3)
3. If you have nausea start the Unisome + B6. I know we have all heard this before but somehow I still forgot about it.
4. My favorite pregnancy book for dads is the superhero side kick book. It’s the only one that my husband actually enjoyed and read. He has gone on to recommend it to some of his friends even.
