This week is finals for me 🙌 I cannot wait to be done with this semester 7. My laundry is out of control, I feel like with me being so tired that my housekeeping is barely holding it together 😹 8. Had to cancel spa bc partner needed to go into work 😭 9. One of my dogs broke into our camping supplies while I was out yesterday and ate 11 packets of hot cocoa mix 🙀 so I spent hours talking to vets, insurance, and googling. He’s ok, thank goodness.
10. My mother passed away during the height of COVID last year so we never had a service. I’ve been asked to plan something now that most of us are vaccinated but doing it a year+ later seems so weird and I don’t want to take my youngest unvaccinated kid on cross-country flight yet 🙁
I’m sorry to hear about your mom. I lost my dad in July and it was such a weird time to lose a loved one. It felt irresponsible to have a ceremony, but then it felt weird to not have one at all.
@bkjade- o my, i am so sorry about your mom. that is a hard call. And that is scary about your dog!! you still need your spa day!

@bkjade and @eggsbene42 I am so sorry for your losses. Grieving during covid has been such a bizarre experience for so many.
We lost my aunt in July and it was just strange and sad. She wanted a big party with singing and dancing, but we couldn't even honour her final request. We are hoping to be able to do it sometime this year or maybe even next (because half my family are antivax and we of course want everyone to be safe).
