At work, we get a lot of materials from China...  it is currently >3x more expensive to ship containers of stuff to the US, then once it gets here, it could take weeks to find a truck driver to bring the stuff from the port where it arrived

@jlbaker08 the whole world has gone completely mad lately.   Speaking of things being delayed, almost every public department I need to deal with at work is taking 4x longer than normal lately. ughhhhhhh!

this is a lighthearted WTF.

I responded to a customer email. Later I got a call on my cell phone. I thought something was wrong with my phone but turns out it was my work cell ringing, not my personal cell. That's what I get for giving them the same ringtone . I realized my mistake when the chime came in that a voicemail was left.

Listening to it... the customer starts with "Hello (sales manager's name)....". I checked - my work cell number is nowhere near similar to the sales manager's cell number haha. WTF how did he screw up and call me ha.

This is a super annoying insurance WTF. 

I had a dentist appointment in February & they called me in advance to say my insurance was expired. I assured them I had just paid the bill & it most certainly was not expired. Cue time on phone w insurance, time on phone w dental office, time at dental office counter telling them all the different ways to look up my coverage, receptionist looking doubtful as she “allowed” me to go back for my appointment. Came out from the cleaning to find that she had finally “located” my insurance coverage and that my cleaning was free. 

MH just panic-texted me from his dental appointment while I was in a live online work presentation, saying “They said we don’t have insurance! I just paid $225 for that visit.” So I’m trying to remain composed during my presentation while sneaking texts to him like “WTF?! Go back and get a refund. YES we DO have insurance, tell them to look up my February appointment coverage.” Grrrrrr. Why is insurance so f-ing difficult in the U.S. 😭

@daisy0322 yes, it literally comes in waves. It honestly used to happen more often than not right around the full moon in a given month. Yesterday was the new moon though so I'm not surprised. And often it's the same or very similar question! 🤦‍♀️

@inthewoods23 I’m really patient when it comes to these things and I try to assume everyone is well intended I know I have in the past and in the future asked things that I should know or something but there’s a pinned thread that clearly is like read me first! I try to be nice but I do giggle at the gifs

@daisy0322 I am less annoyed when the question is more along the lines of "does anyone here have experience with this?" rather than "what's your experience?". I think we all receive it better when the question is posed as a collective/overall question vs being more direct on an individual level. Maybe other boards it would be fine but with ours being more tight knit and community-like it doesn't go well.

My WTF Wednesday: all these gas hoarders are so f*cking stupid. I just...can't with them. It's so selfish and stupid and annoying. And what's more, it paints Americans in a bad light. The toilet paper hoarding last year was bad enough, but now we have people filling up grocery sacs and trash bags with gasoline - like, isn't that illegal???

@inthewoods23 agreed, I always get more annoyed with the “how long did it take you to get pregnant after X” when it’s like...we’re here...on TRYINGTGP...

@keikilove haha thanks - I used to work in health care. It’s like auto pilot now 🤣 you wouldn’t believe some of the crazy stuff in the ER

@babyodo completely agree. It is so embarrassing 🤦. 

I am torn on the AW posts. I obviously think they are annoying but some of the best laughs come from those posts (thanks to all of your on point GIF skills). They can be entertaining to say the least.

@babyodo how is that even possible? 😆 garbage bags??? I'm not on the east coast, but I'm happy I have an EV. The only time I go to the gas station is for the car wash.

@b_1029 right? Go to the TFAS or 1st Tri board for that shit lol. And regardless, my experience is different from everyone else's experience so it means nothing! Same with asking about early symptoms 🙄

@babyodo it's probably the same people who still have 6732 rolls of toilet paper in their basements. There's two things that I don't get about it. 1) The pipeline's open again. It was closed for a fairly short amount of time. The Suez Canal blockage probably affected supply lines more. 2) Toilet paper can sit in a basement for 20 years and be fine, provided it's kept in the plastic. Gas can't sit forever, it does have a shelf life.

the gas thing is bananas. i'm in maryland...gas prices shot up a solid .50 a gallon and plenty of places are out. only in america!

@jlbaker08 Yeah, it's crazy.  The obvious answer is they are trying to cripple the US economy and usher in global communism.  Because... why not
