I'm bored at work on a conference call so I made a mood board with some of the pieces I have found. It's nice to visualize them pulled together. I got the strawberry onesie from Old Navy last weekend and it lit a fire. I wasn't sure what to do for her because I didn't want to do florals so even though this is a fall baby I'm loving the light fruit theme. I'm thinking paint the walls a very light pink white with accents of pink, peach and yellow. The crib here is the one we just bought from Target. The curtains are also Target, scalloped pillowfort blackout curtains. Prints, mobile and pineapple drawer pulls are all etsy and the lemon swaddle I actually already own from DS but it's Little Unicorn. I'm not sold on the basket, I want something more pale yellow but it's just what I could find on Amazon.

I'm doing polka dots and pom poms. 

I ordered this rug and curtains already, and I think I want to get the tufted baskets from Target to put on the changing table shelves. And maybe the hexagon shelves for the wall (they come in different interior/accent colors).

Ugh so obsessed with this thread - DD’s nursery was my absolute FAVORITE thing to do and I’ve really been itching to start for DD2 but since we HOPE to move, I can’t start thinking about it until I know where we’ll end up.

I had a lot of fun with my son's nursery. However this time around there is no separate room for the new baby.  And in retrospect my son's nursery was unoccupied for the first 2 years of his life.  Never used the change table, never slept in his crib.  Just stored his clothes and acted as a room for me to pump in in the middle of the night.

I really take so much pride in this room - I hope the next one is just as good!!! 🥰 that wallpaper is from Anthropologie and I’m pretty sure it’s called “spontaneous wallpaper” - however now I only see it available in swatches on their website, so I did a quick google search and found it on other sites (pic attached)

I love that @runningonindie !! Even though this is a boy I was considering some time of floral/fauna accent wallpaper. Or maybe yellow, I saw a cute bee themed room that I think would be fun!

I’m doing a space-themed room for Levi! We did nautical for Ronan. I have wall decorations picked out and a constellation changing mat cover already. I just need curtains and to pull the trigger on the constellation wall decals I’ll put up on a navy blue accent wall (the crib wall).

I’m so excited for this thread! Also very sad we no longer live in our old house where my son’s nursery was. He moved from our room around when my maternity leave ended.

We’re doing 3 walls this Navy with a white accent wall in some kind of texture, likely shiplap haha. White furniture but maybe with a natural crib instead of white. I’ll do blush and natural accents throughout.

I am stalled on any decorating until MH builds the extra bedroom in our house. So I'm stuck on pinterest for now, but I'm taking notes from this thread!

@paulpaw I absolutely LOVE the navy and blush combo! So different for a girl. 
@krash_ the fruit theme is adorable! 
@runningonindie that whole nursery is gorgeous. 

We decided we're going to paint the walls a light blue-ish/grayish/purple color (hard to describe) on the top, then the bottom will have white-on-white striped wallpaper (still searching for that but it shouldn't be too hard to find). I found some adorable "You Are My Sunshine" prints on Etsy to tie it all together. So I guess we have a very subtle sunshine/rainbow theme?

@marymh80 I love the polka dot rug! Is that from Wayfair? I was looking at a similar one but we're probably going to go with plain pale gray.

@emeraldduchess you are my sunshine was my other possibility but I found it hard to pull a few things together. I did see one that was a sun, rainbow and cloud and I loved that you could add more elements from the cloud and rainbow then just yellow everything

@emeraldduchess I’m doing your are my sunshine with our playroom at the new house! Hopefully with some type of mural wall. I found a few floral wallpapers I like for the nursery on Pinterest

We're going with green walls, the colour we like right now is called Citrus Green. There's going to be a lot of unpainted wood in there as well, so I'm thinking we'll go with a foresty/animal theme overall. It's just kind of coming together as I find things I like. We need a rug in there and I'm not sure yet if I want to go neutral with the rug or add more colour...

This poor baby doesn't get a real nursery. They'll be in the pack n play bassinet in our room until they're old enough to move into the crib in big sister room lol.

@emeraldduchess The pic I found that was easy to download was from wayfair, I think, but I actually ordered it from Kohl's. We had to get a new carseat for my husband's car after a fender bender, so I got it from Kohl's to get the Kohl's cash on it. I put it toward the rug and curtains.

I ordered these prints today. I think they tie in sweetly with the polka dot stuff I've gotten.

@marymh80 Those prints are absolutely lovely! You’re right—so perfect for a sweet pandemic baby. 

@babybelugaco No shame in that! We *almost* decided to have our girls share a room and it would’ve made my to-do list SO much shorter. Picking out nursery stuff is fun, but I’m dreading the clean out of our guest room closet. 

We finally decided on a name—Alice Josephine—and it immediately sparked nursery inspiration. I’m imagining a low key Alice in Wonderland nursery with occasional direct nods—like a white rabbit lamp and repurposed tea cups—but mostly focusing on whimsical florals. I’m going to paint a few wildflower watercolors and we’re definitely getting a “Do you suppose she’s a wildflower?” print to bring to all together.

@IdleFancy we finished moving my son into our guest bedroom last weekend and the whole time I was thinking it might have been easier to move to a whole new house. Shuffling the closets was THE WORST!

Ahh all of these are so cute!! We are doing a jungle greenery theme (aka jungle but not heavy on the animals). We have bought basically nothing but here’s our main inspo pics:

We're going with a starry type theme. I only have my accent wall inspo pic, but it's pretty easy to find stuff to go along with that kind of vibe.

@huskermom14 I did stars for my son's room and had similar decals; did some as constellations and some random. Definitely not too much work, it took maybe a couple hours to do 2 walls!

Since I know this baby will EVENTUALLY have a room even if she’s 2 months old.... I think I’ve landed on a basic vibe. I would like to do some boho arch wall decals and muted colors... these are just the first few photos I screenshot. Bottom 2 photos are from the same nursery. I’d go way less pink, but I like the vibe overall and will transition beautifully to a big kid room

@kissyfir1586, haha! The decals I ordered came with a template for how to do the large to small gradient effect and it doesn't seem too bad. I think I'll be able to make it an afternoon project with some trash TV on in the background, lol. 

@lmcw That is so cute!! I love that you worked constellations in too! I didn't even think to do that!

@krash_ what mood board app do you use?  I know the general theme: deep sea exploration, I want a wallpaper accent wall, but can't picture anything together/decide on a wallcolor.  I know I need an app to help visualize lol

@grizzlymama86 I used a moodboard template on Canva and just found one that kind of fit with the colors I was going for and deleted any of the other junk on it and added all my photos of stuff from the internet.

@huskermom14 I love that they include a template to make the gradient! That’s such a good idea, all of the payoff without driving yourself crazy trying to plan it out!

@runningonindie I saw a similar pic a while ago with the arch over the crib and I’m totally going to do it, I just CANT decide on a colour for the life of me. I want to make a macrame hanging to go over the crib so I want something that will make it stand out, but I don’t want to go too crazy or painting that wall after will be horrible!
