@keikilove I don't like this question because there never was a "one who came in second" for me it's been me and DH since I started college. And we did sort of have a Grease-like summer when I was a Junior, going to be a Senior the next school year. We likely would have started dating around then, but he came back to mentor the robotics team (how we met) and mentor/student relationships like that were a no no.

LOL. Just saw this one @keikilove. MH is the one that got away, who then came back to me. So I feel like I can't truthfully answer that. But yeah, I'll take 10 years with him and then risk losing him forever than be with any of my exes. I've made some pretty bad choices wrt to men in the past which is perhaps why I find myself TTCing for the first time at the ripe age of 37.

@acleverusername I suppose you could say DH for me was the one that got away because I ended up in a few relationships during my senior year. He didn't date anyone in that time though. I actually dated a guy for about a month in my Senior year in which I will always remember crying on his bed confessing I still had major feelings for DH. We basically broke up when I drove home. And then he ghosted me haha

God high school was so cringe

Oh man. This feels so unfair - as someone who has been with their partner for almost 16 years, married 9 this year... 10 years is a blip. there is no one that got away, and 2nd is just a nope. So I guess 10 years it is.
