Testing: trying to hold off 'til 12DPO now that trigger shot is out of my system

R/R: rave -- our landlord decided to upgrade our garage door yesterday (he last had it installed in 1998!) and it is SO MUCH QUIETER now! I think it's 5x more quiet than it used to be. And also more secure. I made a joke to him / garage door repair person that "how will we know if someone's breaking into our garage now?" (cause that's a thing that happens in SF a lot) and we got a whole spiel about the dead bolt activating when the garage door closes. Woot! 

Another rave is that I've been having convos with landlord about getting a dog and he's actually relented and said we could get one, provided it meets certain characteristics: under 25 lbs; 2+ yrs old. We told him that we really have our heart set on a Corgi and he (after consulting with a bunch of ppl who've owned corgis) said that if we can find one that matches his requirements, we can get it! Corgis are rarely surrendered, but last night, I posted on the local Corgi facebook group, and already got some leads! 🤞🏻

CS/Q: As expected, yesterday's temp got adjusted so it's not as high. That can change even more tomorrow/Sunday.

I did test so I knew I was out, I only meant that I was waiting to see if the tiny drop of spotting I saw was AF before I decided what daily to post in, but wanted to answer the spoiler question before I forgot about it. It’s AF so off to WTO now! I’ll be stalking you @acleverusername! @BusinessWife I’ll see you for your next cycle!

R/R: Rave: I’m excited that it’s Easter weekend! My family will be meeting outdoors in a field for an egg hunt & picnic. Rant: Terrible night’s sleep! We got a new bed frame that “came with” an extra-firm mattress. I love me a firm bed, but I woke up so achey this morning. Feels like I was sleeping on rocks. Our old mattress is luxurious and so comfy, but it is too big for the bed frame by about 4 inches.😢 Going to look into splurging on an Avocado mattress one day in the future, since all the chemicals in regular mattresses skeeve me out. 

CS/Q: Temp dropped again, probably from waking up 90 minutes earlier than normal.

@deaf_girl have you shown your chart to YH? I started doing it probably 6-7 cycles into TTC, and he actually took some interest. That too was rewarding. Especially explaining what makes the temperature go up/down (i.e. estrogen rising > low temp; progesterone increasing > high temps).

@keikilove your Easter plans sounds amazing! But poo poo on poor sleep. What options do you have now vis-a-vis your bed situation? Did you get rid of the old bed? Or can you go back to sleeping on it while you wait for a new mattress?

@deaf_girl CD11 is fine. 👍 Hopefully this is your cycle! -- I think the most common issue could be just not catching it with timing early enough, but you did great!  But if this is not your cycle, definitely keep doing OPKs to see what your "normal" is, or of this was a bit of a one off thing.

There can be different reasons it's on the shorter side, and I have had some short ones too!  But mostly it's normal as you age.  Truly "short," more like ten days, single digits, or if it's a super consistent thing, may be worth mentioning to your provider?  But I had plenty of random cycles where I would ovulate around CD11 or 12, where my real norm was like 13 or 14, and would occasionally have CD15!  You mentioned changes in your meds and such, there could be different things going on that your body is adjusting to and rebalancing.  But randomly ovulating on CD11 in and of itself is not a cause for concern.  Let's see what happens! 🤞🤞
