Does anyone else enjoy keeping the pregnancy a secret? With my first, I was so sick all of my coworkers guessed it early, even though I didn't officially tell until I was out of the first trimester. Since we are still in pandemic-safety mode, I'm working from a separate office right now, which is allowing me to hide my symptoms from coworkers. It's great! I'm hoping I'll actually surprise them this time! Similarly, we haven't been getting together with our families, so it's been a nice excuse to keep the secret from them a little longer too. We won't tell our families until we get together to celebrate Easter, and I'll be 11ish weeks. I love that we have this little family secret that only H and I and DD know about
@galentine i don't love keeping it a secret, but I'm also not really looking forward to sharing the news. I don't know, I always find these sorts of big life announcements to be so awkward!
@vampirina Want to take my parents off my hands? My mom is desperate to be allowed to tell people, and my dad has been blowing up my husband's and my email today to talk about 529 plans. Please, have some chill about it, guys.
@vanpirina ugh, I hate that. Every child deserves to be celebrated! Hell, I’m debating having a second baby shower (minus the gift giving) because I think it’s bs to not celebrate every little life!

I had a zoom call with my sister tonight, and we got on the topic of baby births. We were sharing our birth experiences, and I was asking her about whether they enjoyed being Team Green. It was soooooo difficult not to blurt out that I was pregnant again, and I had to keep reminding myself to speak in hypotheticals. At one point I said, "we are talking about being Team Green this time.....err next time." Oops!! 🙈😬
@k_rn21 I fell asleep on the floor of my kids' room last night when I was singing them their lullaby. Like halfway through the song I just fell asleep! Didn't even realize what happened until my husband woke me up 45 min later to my dd singing to me.
@k_rn21 yes, noninvasive prenatal testing. The take a sample of moms blood to get fetal DNA from and then they check that DNA for chromosomal abnormalities (trisomy 13, 18, 21, sex chromosome disorders, and baby’s sex, among a couple other, rarer disorders). My clinic just started offer it to everyone for $100 out of pocket.

@chindimples04 ohhh ok. I think that’s the one my doctor mentioned to me this last appt but my insurance won’t cover it until my second trimester 😞 and she said she thought it was pretty expensive but idk how to find out what the price would be for mine.
Re: Weekly Randoms w/ 3.29
