I am just coming off a loss from an unplanned pregnancy. (We weren’t trying for a sibling yet (possibly not ever)). But this made us realize we DO really want another. My doctor gave me the okay to TTC before having a regular period. I should be ovulating soon. Excited but also slightly terrified. 

Any questions? How old is your youngest? I will be rocking a bigger age gap if another baby happens for us. My sister and I have a pretty big age gap between us so I think that makes it more attractive to me. 

Rant/Rave? Our power is out. We played board games by candle light for awhile and it was cool. Now two hours in it’s getting old. Haha! 

GTKY:  What's going on this weekend? My son had a karate test this morning that took two hours. I totally was not expecting it to be so long. Then I rushed to an egg hunt and then a birthday party. I am exhausted. Doing nothing tomorrow !

My brother and I have a very big age gap, and our neices have a bigger gap too.  I just remember looking up to my big brother so much!  Hopefully one day it will be the same for your littles! 😍

It all feels like kind of a whirlwind.  I call my clinic once baby was 6 months, and DH actually started bringing it up, when often I think he's not paying attention to these things.  First they gave me a return to center appointment for late April, and then my nurse and doctor herself called me back to basically say, we are ready if you are, and we won't make you wait till April to come in.  We gave it a little more thought, and just went for it!  So getting CD3 testing and SHG out of the way feels like whoa - this is really happening...</div><div>

The first Easter dress I ordered I think is not going to work, but I really want to love it and I thought the print would match DDs dress so beautifully, too!  Sigh.  I ordered something else.  I had a feeling that it may just be too fancy, although there is a wedding in June so I figured I could wear it to that as well.  We are one week away!  Why does dress shopping have to be so difficult???  I wish I could just go to THE MALL and go shopping like back in the good old days. :/</div><div>
</div><div>GTKY:  Made yummy tabouli and tadziki for falafel wraps, which are always a hit for dinner in our house.  Yummmm.  DH is crazy tho and he worked today and will be working a super late DOUBLE Sunday night / Monday. 😩 I am exhausted for him already.</div>

Ages of other child(ren)? Two boys, 4 and 2

Any thoughts about this cycle? This cycle SUCKS. I'm always complaining on the IVF thread, so I'll keep it brief, but I'd really, really like to start my period.

Rant/Rave? My kids are finally going back to preschool and I'm having some mixed feelings. They've been out for over a year now because of Covid (and since I'm a SAHM, it was fine having them home that whole time). I've been homeschooling them (mostly the older one) for about 9 months now, and ugh. I was a high school teacher before, and yeah, it's pretty damn clear to me that that is more my speed than preschool stuff. I'll be happy if I never see another paint again, haha. But overall, the time together was really nice. We of course didn't really do anything, but we were able to spend a lot of time with their grandparents, and I really got to see them grow over the past year. I'll miss them when they're at school, but oh man, am I excited for some time to myself. My house is an absolute disaster! 

GTKY:  What's going on this weekend? We arrived at my in-laws house today for a week-long visit, just because we can - since school is starting up again soon, it's hard to buzz out of town for long periods. They're already going nuts. I think I'm going to have to buy a couple new toys to keep them occupied. I really like my in-laws a lot, so our visits are usually pretty good, and they come to visit us often, so we're all close. 

@ReadyForaB my brother and I are a little over 5 years apart, and we were pretty close growing up. Still are. It was also relatively easy on my mom since I was fairly self-sufficient when my brother was born. My parents will say to me "I just don't remember so much chaos!" when hanging out with my kids and I'm like, yeah, you didn't have kids 22 months apart! Haha. 

@BusinessWife dress shopping is the WORST! So stressful. But yeah, I miss cruising around the mall too.

@Lisa3379 That is so frustrating that you're just here, WFAF.  Meanwhile the kids going crazy over there!? Lol. That's so nice you get a good long visit though.  MIL said she would help watch them for me a couple days while my WFH starts up here soon... By coming over to my house! Lol 🙄 She's great in a lot of ways, but that kind of sucks to think like - she doesn't really want them over there too much, or to set up her house where we would all feel more comfortable.  And DD really isn't bad at all!  Meanwhile, that also means me trying to work (possibly set up in the kitchen???) with my MIL and the kids all home with me at the same time.  🤔  Not too sure how that's going to work exactly... I may have to set up in a room upstairs after all. :/</div>

Any thoughts about this cycle? Just trying to decide which OPKs to buy since I will be tracking for 4-6 cycles prior to FET.

@Lisa3379 yes, me and my sister are about 5.5 years apart. My parents always said the same thing, we were pretty easy going. The gap felt big when we were younger but now my sister is my best friend.

Rant/Rave? DD is a clingy hot mess this weekend. Like non stop "mamaaaa I need a hug". She was home from daycare on Friday and I barely got any work done because even Elsa wouldn't hold her interest. 🤦‍♀️

GTKY:  What's going on this weekend? A lot of screen time so I don't have a whiny kid on my lap or trying to grab on to my pants non stop 😂 it's raining so our plan to go to the park probably won't happen

@ReadyForaB I’m glad the bigger age gap is a good thing for you! It makes me feel better about having one too. haha. I get nervous about it sometimes but I have been thinking lately that DD being older will really let me enjoy and savor the baby stage since she will be more self sufficient than she would have been if we had been successful when we first started trying. 

@b@BusinessWife are you going to mass on Easter? We are still just watching virtually and I think we’re ready to go back in person now that we are both fully vaccinated, but I’m concerned Easter will be really crowded so we may stay virtual until after that for DD’s sake. 

@li@Lisa3379 I hope AF arrives soon! And I bet you are excited for some time to yourself! You are long overdue!

@ki@kiwi2628 I just use wondfos and they work great for me (I mean I guess I’m not pregnant so who knows but part of my IF testing was bloodwork to “test” my OPKs and they passed haha)

@pa@pajamstagrams it’s raining here too 😩. Hope you find something to distract YD! She sounds so sweet but I know what you mean.

Rant/Rave/Brag: I haven’t posted on this thread since September 😬. But everyone who was posting back then has moved on so figured I can start fresh now. I want to rant about masks though - DD started soccer this week and there were about a dozen kids there and only maybe 3 were wearing masks. And there was an email saying that masks were required. It was raining so we were inside too so there isn’t even the excuse of being outside. I get that it can be harder at this age but they didn’t even try. And do their kids really not go anywhere else that they have to wear a mask? So strange to me. But I can only control what we do so I just don’t think we will be going back any other weeks where we will have to be inside. Maybe that’s overkill but oh well. 

GTKY: i worked yesterday so DD and DH had the day together, but we had a fire last night so that was awesome! Today we just ran errands and it’s also laundry day.

@bows22 to be fair, she was pretty sweet after she woke up from her nap 😂  we decided to cave and set up her paintbrushes so she can do that for 10 minutes... and then run off and attempt to touch all the things with her paint-hands.

anddddd as I write this, 7 minutes into the paint and she's over it. 🤦‍♀️

re: the masks, ugh, that's frustrating. At least make the attempt...DD fought it more 6 months ago when she was just turning 2, but she's used to it now. She even pulls mine up for me when I have it under my chin when I'm unloading her from my car for daycare 😂

@pajamstagrams Aww, I would be clinging to my mama this weekend too, if I could.  Just this grey weather and still maybe suffering from the time change, too ugh.  I'm glad the paint kept her entertained for six hot seconds!!! 🤣

@bows22 Oh absolutely, we will be there with bells on!  After they cancelled Easter 2020, wild horses couldn't keep us away from Easter 2021. Lol

@BusinessWife I could see how it would be hard to concentrate on work with everyone there. For me, I have the opposite issue, although I'm not working - it's soooo much easier getting my MIL's help when she's at our house. They've done the best they can at making the house ok for kids, but there just isn't enough over here to keep them occupied enough. We had to order a couple more toys to entertain them. When they're at our house, they have a lot more to do (and more room to run around). But yeah, I don't have too much of a need to concentrate like you might, haha. 

@kiwi2628 I use the Pregmate ones, and then compared it with the Clear Blue Advanced ones when I knew it was pretty close to ovulation time. The Pregmate ones showed a dark line when the Clear Blue ones showed peak every time, but then Pregmate weren't that great for showing increasing LH for me. I think I blew threw maybe 4-5 Clear Blue OPKs a month? So not too bad.

I hear you @Lisa3379 I don't know if I just don't worry about her getting into too much?  Or if MIL is like, kinda uptight, but tries to pretend like she's not?  Lol yeah, I still don't even know what I'll be doing yet, or if we can even make it work, but I feel like we've got to at least give it a shot.  If it's like telephone customer service then I'm going to need as close to zero background noise as possible though so.... I would love if it's something more project based to be honest.  Like document review or something. 😜

Well, DD loves her Easter dress! ...if the tantrum when I told her she couldn't sleep in it is any indication. 🙄 When I first took it out of the box and showed her, her jaw hit the floor; it was so cute.  It is a 4T and I looked at it and was a little nervous it would be too big on her, but it's perfect.  Omg. 😭😭😭 I had flashes of helping zip my baby into her wedding gown.  Send help! Lol
