Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: a jelly bean ☺️
Upcoming appointments: April 6
How are you feeling?: so. freaking. nauseous
Rants/Raves: my mood is all over the place, I’m tired and nauseous - yet honestly? I’m still loving it and feeling very grateful. But damn.
Questions: not at the moment
GTKY: What’s your claim to fame? I was a background actor in the grand central station scene in Friends with Benefits lol that’s probably my closest “claim”
@jackie_dunny haha, how long were you on set and what was it like?
Estimated Due Date/Weeks + Days: 4+5
Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: I forget, a poppyseed?
Upcoming appointments: I need to schedule my 8 week appt
How are you feeling?: Great and excited!
Rants/Raves: in the middle of our video call my mom asked me if I'm pregnant (she basically has a 6th sense) and I had to school my expression and lie.. I'm not going to keep it a secret for long but wanted to send a pic of DS to announce instead LOL. Oh and the day before my BFP a local friend texted that she had a dream about me doing something that somehow meant I was pregnant 😂
Questions: none
GTKY: What’s your claim to fame? I spent a year or two being mildly "famous" in China, doing interviews, documentaries, game shows, singing etc. It was hilarious because I'm definitely not talented enough, but was fluent at the time and as a foreigner that was all they needed I guess.
@marbellie omg that’s so cool! How did you even come about doing all that? As for being an extra, we were there for...16 hours I think? From 1 in the afternoon until a little after 5 the next morning. I know we left after 5 but I can’t remember if we started at 1 or 3pm lol it was reallyyyy tiring with lots of waiting around but also lots of fun and really glad it’s something I got to experience!
Estimated Due Date/Weeks + Days: 6w+6d .. I feel like time is already flying, 7 weeks tomorrow?!
Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: Blueberry
Upcoming appointments: Over 2 weeks away
How are you feeling?: I've had 2 migraines in the last couple weeks, which is unusual for me. Normally, I have a year or more between migraines. I'm not sure if this is pregnancy related or if it's triggered by stress. According to Google, it seems it's more common for people who experience migraines to have fewer during pregnancy, but there are some people who experience more during the first trimester. Here's hoping this is my last migraine for at least a year again..
Rants/Raves: The weather has been lovely and spring-like here this weekend and I am all about it!
Questions: None.
GTKY: What’s your claim to fame? Maybe it's the lingering effects of my migraine but I can't think of anything exciting or interesting for this question.

I had a headache that was never-ending throughout my last pregnancy. I’ve had a couple bad ones already this time around, and what sucks most is not being able to take my migraine meds. Just gotta suffer through 😭
@amostpeculiarmlle I feel the same way! I felt like it was dragging at first but now I’m like whoa 7 weeks already?? Still a long way to go though 😂 oof hopefully this is your last migraine of the year. Migraines are rough
@slitzee That sounds miserable! I didn't have any noticeable increase in headaches with my first pregnancy so this is a new one for me (and not a very welcome change!). And yeah, there wasn't really anything I could do except just go to sleep (which thankfully the pain wasn't so bad that I couldn't sleep)
How are you feeling?: like hot sh!t...I’m so bloated today that my pants don’t fit.
Rants/Raves: I’m so indifferent to everything right now that I can’t rant or rave.
Questions: none at the moment
GTKY: What’s your claim to fame? I really don’t have one. They are filming a Scorsese movie around here about the Osage murders. I keep seeing things about casting extras. I tried to get my dad to do it because they are looking for Natives to be extras (he’s half Osage), but he’s being resistant. I work too much, but he’s retired. Maybe I’ll apply for him, haha.

Wow I can't believe it lasted that long! I kind of fell into it. I used to do performing arts (like skits and poetry type things), and once one media outlet caught wind of a black girl doing traditional arts they started reaching and it kept snowballing. There's actually very little privacy in China (culturally) so I remember my school used to like give out my cell phone number 😂
@campbellcobb for this pregnancy, since we did ivf, my parents already know. They keep my son for all my appointments. My husband will tell his parents after my next US as long as everything looks good, so I’ll be 7 weeks. I probably won’t tell my sister until 8 or 10 weeks. She lives in another state so the only way she’ll find out is me or my mom telling her. I’ll leave it to my husband to tell his brother whenever he feels comfortable. I told my immediate family last time after 8 weeks. I didn’t announce until like 20 weeks for social media. I’ve had some miscarriages so in some ways it’s nice for people to know b/c you get support if something happens, but you also have to keep track of who knows so you don’t get weird questions a couple of months later.
@campbellcobb I told my mom and step dad last night (the best reaction ever!) and we’re telling my in-laws this weekend. Not sure on siblings yet. I feel like I’ve already told quite a few people (two best friends, boss, now parents) but like @mkp0903 said, as long as you’re happy with these people knowing if something bad were to happen and you keep track of who knows, then it’s up to you when you tell.
Estimated Due Date/Weeks + Days: 7w 1d... ish lol it was 3 days behind on the last u/s
Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: blueberry, which is the nickname my 4 yr old is calling it. "Is blueberry making you sick again, mama?" 😆
Upcoming appointments: another us on April 8th
How are you feeling?: Nauseated and tired, but mostly in the morning and the evening, I usually get a bit of a break around noon.
Rants/Raves: Everything is annoying me lol
Questions:
GTKY: What’s your claim to fame? I have illustrated a few books, nothing too exciting lol
@campbellcobb We told my immediate family right away. I have a small group of family that I would want as support after a loss, so they all get to know immediately. With my first we announced on social media at 20 weeks, but honestly I don't think we are going to tell anyone else about it until they are born lol. So for most of the family it will probably just be "surprise baby" in 9 months
@artsiefartsie@campbellcobb I am hoping to tell most people outside of family on delivery day 🤣 my friend since childhood knew the day of my positive test, and I was kind of forced to tell my mom a few weeks back... went to visit and she had a full glass of wine waiting for me and was cleaning with some nasty chemicals. I didn’t want to just walk out for no reason haha.
Brother and his family will be right after the ultrasound Friday (or Easter weekend), in-laws shortly after. Then whenever it comes out naturally 🤷🏼♀️. Easier to hide things in COVID times at least!
I totally agree with @mkp0903 in telling whoever you’d feel comfortable telling about a worst case scenario. Having gone through an early MC, I found that I personally needed to talk about it... but certainly not everyone is like that.
@campbellcobb I tell anyone that I would want loss support from early. I'm of the mindset that even if it's a short happiness it's still one I'd want to share with those people (but that's totally personal choice).
So I told all of our 6 sisters (I'm close to my in laws) on the BFP day, and we're telling our parents next week just because we want to do it more cute. So we're taking a pic of DS in a big brother shirt and will send them the pic.
Oh and I told a friend because she was trying to plan a trip to Spain with us for fall that I wanted to happen earlier instead.
@campbellcobb My mother has a HUGE superstition about never revealing a pregnancy before 3 months. I told my BFF and I'm pretty sure my boyfriend told his brother (which I'm not mad about, I found it super endearing he was so excited he couldn't wait) but beyond that we're planning to tell my 12 year old daughter at about 8ish weeks so she feels "in" on the "secret" and the rest of the family/friends at 3 months.
Estimated Due Date/Weeks + Days: My RE moved my due date back from 11/4 to 11/6 since my little frostie baby took some extra time to grow from transfer date. So I am 7+3 today
Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: The tip of my eyeliner brush
Upcoming appointments: 1 more appointment on 3/30 with my RE before being graduated to a regular OB
How are you feeling?: Nauseated... all the stinking time
Rants/Raves: I love my open concept house but am struggling to find a space to get away from cooking smells. Ugh I have had to go outside a couple of times during dinner being cooked
Questions: None right now
GTKY: What’s your claim to fame? So when I was like 4 I got my toe stuck in the coin slot of a video game at an arcade - I wasn't phased but the manager had to call someone to disassemble the whole machine to unstick my toe. I got a sucker and a lot of attention
@campbellcobb We told our parents immediately and I told close friends pretty soon after. We have gotten a lot of support while trying to get pregnant so I wanted their continued support in early pregnancy. I have been terrified of losing the baby but know that I couldn't handle the grief alone if the worst were to happen.
I'm trying to decide if I tell the rest of my family after next week's scan and graduation from our fertility specialist or if I want to keep it to myself a little longer since I don't see them that often. I guess we'll see if I blurt it out at Easter

@campbellcobb we were going to wait until 3 months since my sister just had a MC a couple of months ago. But I ended up not being able to wait to tell my mom! I am going to try and keep inlaws/siblings to 3 months but we will see🤷
@cd1122 I was going to keep it a secret until I was 3 months, but I gradually told the family. Trying to keep it from the extended family for now. We’ll see how it goes. 😅 It’s hard for me to keep secrets.
@KNB1027 sorry how did you get your TOE stuck in the coin slot? 😂
@cd1122 I’m not even sure if I’m allowed to recommend this because it’s another app but I really like Baby2Body. It MIGHT just be a UK app? Hopefully not, but I really like it!
