Re: WTO Weekend 3.20-3.21

  • @fantasyflyte sorry that I posted and ghosted yesterday. Hopefully the fact that your brain was 1 day ahead is a welcome surprise since today is Saturday instead of Sunday.

    Month/Cycle: 15/15

    CD: 7

WAYDTGKU: double hybrid IUI with Zymöt; lots of vits and supps for MH and I.

R/R: holy freaking hell I’m having quite the weekend already. Yesterday a new Rover charge arrived and she managed to escape within 30 min of getting to our house. I nearly had a heart attack as I chased her in the neighborhood, frantically calling MH to come help and enlisting passerby’s in helping capture her. I finally did after 20 min and grabbed her in a way that made her super anxious (she didn’t have a collar on) so she bit me on the face. Small bite, but a bite nonetheless.

Then this morning MH and I went over to our bubble friend’s place to help him move a bed from main bedroom to guest bedroom (he bought a new bed) and to hang up a wall clock. Well frig... when drilling a hole for the clock, MH hit a sprinkler pipe and watery hell ensued. We had to call the fire dept to shut off the water as he just moved into this house and didn’t know where it was. Also had to call a plumber. And now the fire sprinkler repair folks need to come.

    CS/Q: nope

GTKY: what's your all time favorite book (or movie if you're not a big reader) that you could read over and over? Harry Potter series for sure

    CD: 10

WAYDTGKU: bbt, opks, cm, cinnamon supplements

R/R: weird weekend, midday shifts both days at work and we're having some shortstaffing issues so at least it's busy. wish I could enjoy the nice weather more but oh well. hoping to finish my physics homework despite my headache so that I don't have to worry about it tomorrow.

CS/Q: forgot an opk today, but I don't think O will be for a while anyway so I'll just start them tomorrow.

GTKY: what's your all time favorite book (or movie if you're not a big reader) that you could read over and over?
It's hard for me to pick one, especially because I don't re-read a crapton, but I love the fantasystaples of Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, and Chronicles of Narnia. I also really enjoyed the Septimus Heap books (which are what my username came from).

  • @acleverusername no worries! my brain is all kinds of addled still lol, I'm sure I'll balance back out by Monday. That sounds super stressful with the Rover charge, poor you and poor pup. Is the dog still with you?
  • @fantasyflyte good luck with the physics homework! I never heard of Septimus Heap so I’ll have to look that up. As for Rover, the current doggo is with us until Monday. She’s doing much better today.

  • Hi ladies, I’m back! TW in spoiler...

@acleverusername oh.my.gosh. Series of unfortunate events for sure!! Glad you’re okay.

    Month/Cycle: 5/5

    CD: 1

    WAYDTGKU: HIO, OPKs

R/R: Rave: Spring weather is here and omg it’s gorgeous out! Spring break next week and I cannot wait!

    CS/Q: none

GTKY: what's your all time favorite book (or movie if you're not a big reader) that you could read over and over? This is so hard, but Sex and the City. I watch it at least once a year start to finish. I absolutely love that show.

Sadly, I’ve experienced another CP. Glad I’m able to jump back in earlier than later, was wondering how long it would take to be back at CD1, but not long apparently. Sad and frustrated, but in good spirits. Grateful for my body to do what is natural, but ready to keep on keepin on.

@misspricklepants I am so terribly sorry for your loss ❤️❤️❤️
  • @acleverusername Oh my goodness, that sounds like a wild and exhausting weekend. Hope you are recovering ok from all that excitement (and dog bite)!

@fantasyflyte Hopefully your work was just the right amount of busy, and your headache went away so you could get that homework done.

@misspricklepants So sorry to hear that you had a CP. That’s really tough. Like you said, the upside is that your body is trying to get back to normal quickly. Hopefully the next cycle will be more successful!

    Month/Cycle: 34/lost count

    CD: 8

WAYDTGKU: Hybrid IUI, just started tracking temps & doing OPKs today to get the timing right.

R/R: Rant: It’s raining for about the 13th day straight. Rave: The weather is forcing me to stay home and really do some cleaning & organizing my life.

CS/Q: Just one little dot right now. Started tracking a bit late this cycle.

GTKY: what's your all time favorite book? I don’t often read things twice, but always enjoy re-reading The Alchemist and any of the Elena Ferrante books in her Neapolitan Novels series (My Brilliant Friend, etc).

  • @misspricklepants I am so so sorry for your CP. ☹️ Your seeing the positive in this – that your body is trying to get back to doing its thing – is inspiring. I echo what @keikilove said: hopefully this next cycle will have a better outcome. 🤞🏻

@keikilove that's a lot of rain in a row! Glad that you're getting some cleaning and organizing done; that can be so therapeutic! When is your first monitoring appointment? As for the dog bite, I actually did have to check if my tetanus shot was up to date just in case (it was). I'm so over Rover. Blergh.

  • @acleverusername Oh my, I’m sure you are probably worn out with Rover at this point. Once you send this little guy back, will you take a break? You’ve done a good thing already. Maybe reward yourself with no doggie responsibilities for awhile.😉

Re: your monitoring question: So this may sound crazy, but since I’ve done 5 IUIs with my doctor, we know how my body tends to respond. I don’t usually have any U/S monitoring: I just do my OPKs at home, get bloodwork done once or twice, and then schedule the IUI on the day I get a High or Peak reading. (IUI is usually performed on the day I have the Peak reading.) Anyway, since this is the first time I’ve used injectables for IU, I will get bloodwork done and try to get squeezed in for an U/S tomorrow. (They already squeezed me in for this IUI where there was no room in the schedule, so hoping they can get me in tomorrow for monitoring.) I know lots of girls in this forum have told others “OMG!! Do NOT take Chlomid/Letrozole without being monitored” etc. But with my low ovarian reserve it’s highly unlikely that I will run any risks of too many eggs, etc. So that’s my story. Hoping it’s all going great in my ovaries as I type.😄😬
When is your next monitoring appointment? I think we are on the same CD but you are going to trigger maybe a couple days before I will.
