I'm 12w4d, and I've got acne like crazy! Like 8 pimples on my face, including one nasty cystic one. Over the weekend I had a pimple RIGHT NEXT TO MY EYE, like why? How, even?? And I have quite a few on my back. I've never had acne issues, really. Even as a teen I only ever had a couple of zits at a time right around my period. At least half of the ones on my face are covered by my mask though?
Anyone have any good tips for dealing with acne??
Also, my nose has been stuffy and is generating boogers like crazy. Before I go to bed I have to really blow my nose a bunch of times or else I have trouble falling asleep because of it! We've definitely been hit by the pollen already, so I'm sure my allergies are just making it worse right now!
My nausea is next to nothing now, I am SO thankful. I'm still exhausted but energy seems to be a bit better these days. I'm really starting to notice those stretching pains down low and generally my belly is 'feeling heavy'.
I still want nothing to do with chicken and just want all the carbs and veggies!
@Aerialmrs the acne was the main thing that made me take a pregnancy test. I always breakout like crazy - especially on my chin and chest! I'm actually really glad we are wearing masks to cover my face right now! Unfortunately, nothing helps me except delivering the baby.
@Aerialmrs I like the acne patches that you can get on Amazon to spot treat big pimples and I also use the Glow Recipe Watermelon Sleeping Mask and it's like an overnight facial that gets rid of the little bumps and texture.
12+2
Luckily my all day nausea has mostly subsided. Now I am having crazy dreams!

14w3d Joining the group that is always cold. This isn't unusual for me even when I'm not pregnancy, but it seems like it just locks up my whole body and won't let go when it hits. Sure doesn't help with my muscle soreness.
I think pregnancy brain is starting to kick in. Not good when you're teaching math and you forget long division for a few minutes. I'm kind of looking forward to my class finding out because then I can just blame all my mistakes on the baby. 😂
@emeraldduchess I feel like my pregnancy brain hasn't even gone away yet from my 9 month old..but definitely a struggle when teaching. A student asked me what "parse" meant a few days ago in class..and I just didn't know. I use the word parse on a semi regular basis as an English teacher! She even said "aren't you an English teacher? Aren't you supposed to know these things?" I was just like.. "yeah...I should know know these things..."
@Aerialmrs I’m also super stuffy! Especially at night! I started doing a saline nasal mist every night before bed because it was getting ridiculous.
so this is gross and I talked about it a few weeks ago but my 1st trimester has resulted in some tougher than normal poops which has apparently caused an anal fissure. Last week I had to have a rectal exam. WHAT A BLAST. Now I’m applying a cream 4x a day for 6 weeks plus a morning Metamucil and trying not to freak out if and when I see blood. Never felt sexier. 😂🤦🏽♀️
11+1 feeling so much better. I had an iced cold brew coffee today and it was glorious (first coffee since January). My energy is back and the sunshine is really helping.
@Aerialmrs I'm also in the stuffy nose club. I've been dealing with it off and on since the beginning of my pregnancy.
@runningonindie I had horrible problems in that department my first pregnancy. I had a hemorrhoid so large they wanted to operate on it. I declined (I was 8 months pregnant at the time and like GTFOH 😂) and it ended up healing on its own. It was absolutely miserable.
@kissyfir1586 really hoping this thing heals and doesn’t perpetuate the whole pregnancy. SO miserable. i’m shocked it happened so early on but I guess because it was from a change in bowel movements and not from added pressure it makes sense. Sigh.
Anyone else having RLP already? I have turned over in bed a couple times this week and got a sharp pain all the way up to my belly button felling like my abs were being split apart.

@krash_ I'm not having it consistently, but definitely have moved a weird way and had super sharp RLP. I had it really bad during the 2nd half of my last pregnancy, so I'm expecting I'll have it bad again this time since it's already starting
Anyone else peeing like crazy at night? I don't remember waking this often to go to the bathroom with my first but I'm up every two hours usually. It's probably at least 4 times a night so I'm really not looking forward to what it's going to be like further along. I try to stop drinking water around 7:00 but it's not helping at all so I figure I might as well keep drinking if I'm going to be up anyway.
@feelingjovani Until 2 days ago, I was up peeing all the time. I've been able to sleep through the last two nights though, so progress! Exactly 15 weeks today, seems like things have shifted so there's less pressure on my bladder now
Anyone else have tingling and numbness (like the feeling when something falls asleep) all the time? Mine is in my left arm and it's literally all the time. When I try to get comfortable at night or when I'm working at my desk. Google tells me it could be carpel tunnel from hormones. I had really bad carpel tunnel PP after DS was born but that was mostly from how I was holding him for feedings.

@krash_ yes me too. That was actually my first pregnancy "symptom" this time since it had finally disappeared in December and then came back twice as bad, but with no injury causing it, in January a day or two before I tested.
Anyone still feeling really sick? 12+4 today and my morning sickness seems to be coming back in waves. Yesterday was a good day, then this morning I was throwing up in the shower again.
Is week 13, 14 the magic number? Did anyone else's morning sickness rebound a little before going away? Looking for a little hope!
@kissyfir1586 12+5 and also hoping it goes away soon! It was never this bad before and I’m really wondering when I’ll be able to eat a decent meal/cook again.
@paulpaw@whatabout2ndbreakfast ugh. I'm so sorry you guys are still sick too. I was starting to think it was just me, and panicking thinking this might stick around the entire pregnancy! I've heard of women who were sick the entire time...that would be my worst nightmare. I keep thinking, any day now, I'll feel like myself. Feels neverending...
@kissyfir1586 I'm 14+4 and still have nausea at night. My midwife said for many women 16 weeks is when the nausea and food aversions tend to be gone for good.
Anyone else having trouble getting to sleep even though they're exhausted? I feel like I just can't get comfortable. I'm hot, then cold, then hot again and NO sleeping position is working. 😔
@emeraldduchess yes. I can’t get to sleep and I can’t stay asleep. I have looked into melatonin and it seems like it is safe for pregnancy so I might ask my dr about that. Otherwise unisom is definitely safe and dr recommended with B6 for nausea so I’m sure you could use it as it’s intended as a sleep aid as well.

@emeraldduchess good to know. I am crossing my fingers and toes it doesn't take the full 16...
I'm still taking the Unisom at night, which is the only reason I'm sleeping at all. I hate to continue taking anything, but my normal sleeping position is halfway on my stomach/half on my side, and that's really uncomfortable now. And the hot/cold struggle is real...
@krash_ thanks, I will ask about that, too. My students have made a few comments about my yawning in class, so I really need to fix that! I think at least of of them is getting suspicious. I'm probably showing more than I think I am, but I kind of want to see how long before one of them just comes out and asks. 😂
@kissyfir1586 I also am still pretty sick - I have like 2 good days and then one or two awful ones. But slowly getting better and I’m hoping it’s gone for good in the next week (I’m 15w today)
@emeraldduchess I’m also struggling with falling asleep. My husband falls asleep in 2 seconds and it drives me NUTS. By like 3pm I’m exhausted but then at 9pm when I finally get to bed I’m wide awake! What the heck!
