How are things going? What is something that you are struggling with and/or what is going well? I got a little frazzled by my OPKs and such over the weekend. But they finally went positive so things are okay now. I'm sad 10dpo might not be St. Patricks Day though cuz I want that luck lol.
Any testing coming up/any recent results? Depending on what I get for CH it's going to be next week Wednesday or Thursday at 10dpo.
Questions? nope

GTKY: What's your go-to comfy loungewear/stuck at home attire? With WFH I'm almost always in a cotton yoga pant/legging, my Cuddl Dud fleece leggings, or a jogger sweatpant. Almost always in a hoodie even if it isn't cold in the house because I like to be a little extra warm.

1 loss Jan 2021 - suspected blighted ovum

Status: technically benched, but NTNP

How are things going? What is something that you are struggling with and/or what is going well?
AF showed up on Friday which confirms that I did ovulate when I suspected I did based on O pain. I think I'm going to temp this cycle but we're still technically NTNP. Hopefully by the time next cycle comes around I'll be able to start Letrozole again and give this another real try. In the meantime, I'm still continuing working on improving my physical health and eating better. I'm down about 5 pounds in the last two weeks just from changing habits and tracking my food.

Any testing coming up/any recent results?
Nope.

Questions? Nope

GTKY: What's your go-to comfy loungewear/stuck at home attire?
Leggings and a comfy sweatshirt. I pretty much lived in leggings during quarantine.
• Status: WFAF I am an IFer, and DH and I never had / will be able to have a spontaneous pregnancy due to our dx. We have lost three embabies, and have two remaining. I would love nothing more than to have those two precious little starts turn out to be two real, live THBs, but I'm also bracing myself for harsh reality. It's very sad to think how quickly our entire TTC journey could potentially be over. 😔

@inthewoods23 Not going to lie, I'm still sad to see you back here. I have to believe the testing luck o the Irish is good for at least 72 hours, right!??? GL!!!

@gingermama29 I'm so sorry to see you back here as well. ((((Hugs))) Congratulations on the weight loss! That's awesome! I only just barely started to see the scale come down a little bit since Christmas, but it sort of feels like I'm stuck again. :/. Hrumph.

How are things going? What is something that you are struggling with and/or what is going well? I am struggling with all of the normal waiting for everything to happen with TTC, and constantly tracking and measuring and testing for everything. I feel like my life just revolves around my cycle. Overall I’m doing pretty well though, but today is just one of those days for me.
Any testing coming up/any recent results? I’ll be starting OPKs tomorrow! I’m hoping to get more fertile days this cycle, last cycle it immediately went from negative to peak fertility!
Questions? How often do you all do your OPKs? I was just doing first thing in the morning, but wondering if I should do morning and evening?

GTKY: What's your go-to comfy loungewear/stuck at home attire? Leggings and tunic-like oversized shirts everyday! It looks fine for Zoom calls, so it works!

@gingermama29 congrats on the weight loss!

@inthewoods23 🤞🏻 For St Patty’s luck

@BusinessWife same! Also a good day over here if I put on real shirt OR pants! Haha! I put on jeans the other day, and I was like uhhh heck no not today. 😂
• @rgn12 what CD do you start your OPKs and what CD do you typically O? I used to always start OPKs on CD10 but eventually I realized it was such a waste to start that early since I'm pretty regularly O'ing around CD16-18. Now I start at CD12 once a day and start doing a morning and evening come CD14. If I'm O'ing on CD16, I can sometimes get the first positive in the late evening on CD14. My OPKs used to gradually darken, but now it's pretty much stays low, then the next OPK will be nearly positive to just past positive 12-ish hours later.

@inthewoods23 I usually start around CD10 too, maybe that is too early? According to my app+testing over the last several months I have ovulated anywhere from CD14-18. Most recent cycle I had a negative digital OPK on CD16 and then CD17 it was “peak fertility” with no “high fertility” in between. Last cycle was my first time using the digital OPKs though, previously I was just using the little strips off Amazon!
• @rgn12 this is the CBAD correct? I know those tell you to start testing way early to catch the increase in estrogen. If you sometimes O on CD14, I don't think you'd want to start any later than CD10 or 11 so that you have a chance in getting a low, high, and peak reading. I'd worry in those cycles you'll only ever get -1 and 0 timing if the peak comes unexpectedly without a high reading in-between.

I remember back when I used those that I would start on CD9 because I had had one 29 day cycle the 3rd month off BC. Even though they were generally 30-33 days every other time, I stuck by the recommendation for a 29 day cycle just in case. I was so new into TTC at the time though and of course didn't want to possibly miss it. Instead I wasted my money by using so many extra.

@inthewoods23 yes, I’m using the CBAD! My last cycle was 32 days, so it’s finally getting back to normal somewhat (I was having 35-36 day cycles for a few months there). Usually it’s 28-30.

And yes, I feel like that’s exactly what happened to me last time! I kept getting negatives every morning and then BAM peak positive. It certainly didn’t give me enough time, and at best guess we were trying -1, 0, +1, but I’m really not sure since it happened so fast!

Maybe I’ll double up when it gets closer to when I think it’ll happen, just to help... or maybe this cycle/OPKs will give me more notice, haha!
• @rgn12. I used the CBDA for a while and it was always wonky for me. I got like 6 days of high and then sometimes no peak at all, even when I had definitely ovulated. I used the mira before starting IF treatment (now outsourcing cycle tracking!) and I realized that my estrogen was all over the place before ovulation (and often very high), and my LH surge was pretty low (though still very clear in terms of timing). So I think the whole low-high-peak thing just doesn't work for some people. You might just be better off with premom strips (or Mira! but it's $$$)

@bumblebee0210 that’s good to know! I did get pregnant before with the strips, even though it ended in a loss. I may go back to that after I run out of these! They’re $$$ anyways.
• @bumblebee0210 that's similar to what I've heard for those with PCOS. The CBAD doesn't work well because levels are always at an elevated level. Any digital kind of OPK is probably great for those that have fairly regular hormones. I never liked how the lines looked when I took the strip out because they never looked positive to me but I'd get peak so... whatever you say CBAD lol.

• Introduce yourself and anything you think is important: number of loss(es), when you had the loss(es), diagnosis/conditions surrounding loss, etc.

hi. I’m back. 2 CPs at 4/5 weeks. First was April 2019, second was Saturday

Status: WTO

How are things going? What is something that you are struggling with and/or what is going well? My hcg was 0.5 yesterday and I still feel like hell. Ready for the nausea to get out of my life. Really hoping I can start feeling better and O again before DH is gone for a week. Trying not to put pressure on myself and the situation, but he’ll also be gone all summer so I feel like there’s a deadline and I don’t like it

Any testing coming up/any recent results? I have an ultrasound Monday to make sure nothing was retained

Questions? How long after you’re hcg was basically zero did you start to feel “normal” again?

GTKY: What's your go-to comfy loungewear/stuck at home attire?
leggings and sweatshirts
• rgn12rgn12 member
@MrsJessS so sorry that you’re back here! I hope your stay is short. With my CP at 5 weeks they didn’t check my HCG or do ultrasounds or anything like that. I rode it out at home, and within a few days I had a negative HPT. So no help here! I felt pretty normal after a week or so I’d say.
• @rgn12 with my first I felt back to normal by the time I started bleeding. This has been a totally different experience and I don’t like it.
I think the ultrasound is because my cervix is closed. I’m not sure. Last time they just tested down my hcg 🤷🏻‍♀️
• rgn12rgn12 member
@MrsJessS Oh okay, that makes sense! I hope that your visit on Monday confirms that everything looks great. Fingers crossed for you! 🤞🏻
• @MrsJessS So sorry about your loss— especially as it is your second. I have had my HCG tracked after a chemical and it was back down to 0 within a week (and I generally have slow falls to 0 from other losses). I am also a person who gets very early pregnancy symptoms esp. GERD/nausea, but I have always felt “not pregnant” well before my HCG is actually zero— prob anything under 20 or so (negative HPT). Obviously, emotionally it’s a totally different story. Maybe you have high progesterone still? I have often wondered if that’s the actual cause of my early symptoms since I have occasionally had them with regular PMS as well...

• @bumblebee0210 oh possibly! I’m also super early to get symptoms. This is the third time I’ve taken a test because I got sick the day my period should have started.

Got my US results back and nothing was retained so I finally get to close this chapter.

• @BusinessWife thanks. It’s been such a cluster. I’m so happy to have this over with so I can switch providers
