12w today! I almost didn't take this photo this morning because "my belly didn't look very big" but then I did anyway, and looked at the photo and um, hello, it's definitely there! (Also I didn't make my bed, sorry not sorry)
@krash_ I’m super tall (5ft 11) so I tell people I “hide” my babies for a while! I do feel like I’m a little lucky though because baby has more room to grow without me feeling crushed (at least until the very end)
@krash_@mybigfatgreekfetus I'm fairly tall as well 5'9, I've been told I 'hide it well' but with #3 I think that no longer applies LOL Also apparently i have a tilted uterus that tilts back, anyone else been told that? So I assume that would help hide a bit too..
@nasalot188 my uterus tilts back too, but I have shown ridiculously with both previous pregnancies...this one actually a little less I think... I always forget about it, but the NT ultrasound technician was very vocal about the tilt
Yep tall here too. Even at 8/9 months pregnant people thought I was in first trimester.... I’m like, yeah I’m due in a few weeks. And no one ever gives me a seat on the train, not pregnant enough I guess. im usually able to hide it for a long time in terms of looks but not in terms of how shitty I feel and react to that.
@runningonindie I'm also short - 5'3" - and have a very short torso. The midwives always comment on it, and I'm also feeling crushed by about 23/24 weeks every time.
@CanadianGamerMom I feel your pain! Since I blog, during my last pregnancy I had to cram all my maternity style stuff into my 2nd trimester because once I hit 30ish weeks it just totally stopped being cute 😂😂😂
Although I missed having a big cute bump for most of the pregnancy I definitely think the extra torso room makes a difference in comfort so I’m grateful. however statistically tall people are more likely to gestate longer and I definitely fall into that camp. No babies arriving early for me. Always +40w and counting.
@runningonindie I hear you! I'm only 5'1". Sitting down becomes a game of "where can I sit where I can breathe at the same time" midway through my pregnancies.
I wore maternity pants and a clingy shirt around DH today and he told me I had a cute bump! He never says stuff like that so I'm feeling a little more confident that it's not all bloat.
@agea That's an interesting fun fact! It did not apply to me but that's because I was induced at 37 wks from complications. Maybe I can test the theory this time around.

Me & MH: 32 DS: 6/1/18 (Pre-E; IUGR; seizures; NICU) TTC #2: 12/2019 Sept 2020: HSG possible blocked right tube Nov 2020: Letrozole + TI - BFN Dec 2020: Letrozole + TI - BFP!!! EDD 9/18
My first was 10 days late and my second was 10 days early! They both were about the same size at birth - my early baby was a couple ounces bigger. I guess she just cooked faster!
@agea I feel you on the long gestation! My babes like to bake! I’m very short (5’1’’), but my girls came at 40+3, 39+5, and 40+4... womb mates for life!
@deziraywatt phewwwwww I am exhausted just thinking about that - how much did he weigh? my daughter came at 39+2 and i was so beyond done i can’t even imagine haha
He was 7 lbs 14oz. The period from like 37 weeks to delivery was brutal. I would get like 10 messages a day from people asking if he was here yet. And when I told them no, they would complain about how long it was taking.
@deziraywatt My 1st was 40+2 (went into labour on her due date though), my 3rd was born on his original due date, but my 2nd was born at 41+3. Bruuuuuutal. The messages/comments drove me nuts. Trust us people, no one wants this babe out more than we do 😂
My first was born at 39+3 and I was DONE. I remember thinking the night before (water broke at 3am next morning) that I was going to have to be Induced Induced I was 41+ weeks because she wasn't coming out. Also my boss at the time would ask me when I was going on maternity leave...like umm...whenever this baby chooses to vacate. You let me know if she tells you lol.
Both of my girls were born at 39+6. I’m sure they won’t let me go that long this time since the c-section will be scheduled far in advance (not emergent like the first or scheduled last minute like the second). I’m a little irrationally bummed about it.
both my boys were born at 41+1 which is how long my OB allowed before inducing. DS1 was 7.1 and DS2 was 7 pounds even. I'm nervous about how small baby #3 will be since I will be having a scheduled c section at 39 weeks - a full 2 weeks earlier than I've previously delivered.
