Estimated Due Date/Weeks + Days: September 13/12 weeks today!

Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: Some sites say lime, others plum. So...not sure. 

Upcoming appointments: Intake appointment on Wednesday, meeting my midwife on the 16th!

How are you feeling?: First tri is still kicking my butt, even though it's almost over. I'm exhausted by 7pm every night and my new bedtime seems to be around 9:30. I am usually a night owl, so this is a big change. I hope I am turning the corner with food aversion. The thought of veggies still make me feel sick to my stomach, though.

Rants/Raves: My mom is buying every gender neutral outfit she sees. It's out of control really, but she has waited so long to be a grandmother that I am letting her go wild. 😂

Questions: I have my intake appointment on Wednesday and I am not sure what to expect besides a TON of bloodwork. What usually happens at these things? 

GTKY: What’s your #1 bucket list item? (Completed or not!) Hmm...I would love to learn ballroom dance! I have training in tap, jazz, and ballet, but ballroom is something I always wanted to try!

Upcoming appointments: none atm.  Still waiting to hear from my OB, if I don't here from him in 3weeks, I have to set up an appointment with my family doctor.  

How are you feeling?: Sometimes I think I feel amazing and then I get hit by a semi of exhaustion or my digestive system gives up.  

Rants/Raves: My husband is very adamant about moving to a new province in the next year or so however he will find every reason to keep something that has been buried in the back of a drawer for 3 years forgotten about.

GTKY: What’s your #1 bucket list item? (Completed or not!) I want to go to Sacsayhuamán. I haven't had the chance yet but it's definitely a place I have been fascinated by for a long time.

@emeraldduchess in my experience the intake appt is a lot of questions about your mesical
history (and some of your husband/family medical history as well). They’ll also lay out what to expect in terms of appt frequency etc!

How are you feeling?: actually much better! Not as nauseous and exhausted. Headaches have started though...today was my first day without Diclectin. It was a bit rough but not as bad as I expected.

Rants/Raves: my sisters and I are getting together this weekend for the first time in months due to lockdown. We are all 3 pregnant and I'm so excited to catch up and eat junk food!

Upcoming appointments: I had a consult with a new OB today. I just had exams w my previous doc so wasn’t due for another but I liked this doc and think I’m going to switch bc it’s more convenient. But that means I have to break up with my old doc which I’m dreading for some reason.

How are you feeling?: better than weeks 5-11 but still shitty in the evenings. And plenty of aversions although less severe.

Rants/Raves: I don’t ever feel like working lately so that’s no good!

Questions: anyone else sometimes feeling completely overwhelmed by this pregnancy? I didn’t feel quite this way with my last two but sometimes I panic thinking we’re in too deep. Not sure if it’s hormones or the pandemic talking but I get in my head about it.

I want to do more travel again once our kids are older. It’s become so hard over the last few years with little kids and I miss it. My travel bucket list is long.

@emeraldduchess your intake appt probably varies based on region/doc and gestation.
Mine have always been earlier but I’d guess urine sample, bloodwork, and scan. Plus blood pressure and weight.

@deziraywatt I swing back and forth between feeling like hot garbage and almost feeling like myself. It’s a ride.

@muggsd I am SO EXCITED about the prospect of spring too. Also skydiving is a good one, I did it in college but would be too nervous now!

@nasalot188 I’m starting to wean off diclegis now too... I’m down to one a day bc I didn’t want to refill the whole 120ct rx and was trying to stretch it out. Nervous about not having it at all though.
you and your two sisters are all pregnant?! That is SO FUN! When is everyone due? What number is this for each? I love that.

How are you feeling?: still exhausted, but what else is new.  Heartburn when I go to bed is starting so that's awesome. Had a chiropractor appt today to try and help with that and some back pain I've been having.

Rants/Raves:  Got my hair cut today.   The scalp massage felt so good.  It was also nice to catch up with my stylist. I have been going to her for about 15 years.

@agea I'm definitely more worried with this pregnancy.  I'm trying to enjoy as much as I can, but way more overwhelmed.

@muggsd we had a couple days of 7 degrees Celsius and it was bliss! Lol I'm calling that a Canadian Spring 

@agea i definitely have moments of panic that I'm having baby #3 and think this was a horrible mistake. The feeling passes quick but I just chalk it up to nerves and the world right now. And YES all 3 sisters are pregnant its been so much fun! My oldest sister is having #3 due in August, the middle sister is having her first in June after years of fertility treatments so we are so sooo happy for them, and then I'm having my third as well obviously early September! I'm excited for all the close cousins

im glad I’m not the only one panicking that I’ve made a horrible mistake. It’s such a crappy feeling but thankfully not always present.

@Centralmnmom everything seems to be more overwhelming right now. But glad I’m not alone!

@agea I have been super stressed this time around.  I think it mostly comes down to having no idea how I am going to get through the first month with newborn and a very high energy toddler.

@agea I have had quite a few moments of panic and feel overwhelmed a lot. It's scary thinking of how much our life is going to change. It's just been me, DH and the dog for 11 years!

@nasalot188 we’ve maybe gotten up to 1 or 2 degrees C, but in northern Ontario that feels like spring to me!

Upcoming appointments: Thursday I have an ultrasound check. DH is off this week recovering from hernia surgery, so he might actually be able to go and see too, so that's kind of exciting. 

How are you feeling?: Mostly good. I've been able to find the heartbeat a few times using my doppler, and that definitely helps! I mostly feel better nausea wise, but randomly felt like I got hit by a bus on Saturday.

@feelingjovani I was skeptical too but I went with my sister and cousin when they went up to watch. After seeing it all happen I had a lot more faith in it lol.

@emeraldduchess ballroom dancing is so fun!! DH and I took some lessons before our wedding and had a blast. Def wanna get back to it when we can fit it in the budget.

@marymh80 that would be so nice if YH was able to go with you! MH drives me to all my appointments and then sits in the car sad lol. I wish he could come in, but they said only for the anatomy scan.

Upcoming appointments: 12 week u/s with my OB today (yay!!!) and consult with MFM next week on Monday 

How are you feeling?: I feel like this is a trick question because every time someone asks me I say I’m feeling better and then the last two days I felt totally crappy again. So...I don’t know? I do feel like I’m trending in a positive direction. I ate some salad last night with dinner but still can’t do cooked veggies. I’m having pretty consistent heartburn, and I’m getting used to my new routine of going to bed between 8 and 9 every single night. 

Rants/Raves: I’m totally loving the beginning of spring warm up happening here. I never realize how bummed out I get during the winter until spring starts and I’m so so happy every day.

GTKY: What’s your #1 bucket list item? (Completed or not!) I want to travel to all 50 states. So far I’ve done 22, but am nearly out of states that we can reasonably drive to. So that’s slowing progress a bit haha. I got DH wanting to do it too, so it’s kinda nice that it’s not just me wanting to go to random states and having to convince him of it.

@emeraldduchess My mom sews, so she's started making baby clothes already. And my grandma keeps telling her what I'll need. They're both so excited

@deziraywatt I feel the same. Sometimes it feels like nothing is happening and other times I feel like absolute garbage.

@muggsd Yes spring is coming! I mean, it was -20C here yesterday, and we got a bunch of snow overnight, but it's going up to 2C today!

@agea I am regularly telling MH that we need to win the lottery so I can quit my job. Motivation has been tough the last couple of weeks! Plus everyone is annoying me all the time lol

Upcoming appointments: March 22 with my GP and March 23 with my OB. And still waiting on the results of my first trimester screening bloodwork from last week.

How are you feeling?: Pretty good. Yesterday I was full of rage, but today is better. I'm getting my energy back and for the first time in three months, I thought about eating a cupcake without it turning my stomach, so that's progress! 

Rants/Raves: I'm feeling so impatient on getting test results back. If everything comes back normal, we're going to announce. MH is already working on the announcement picture, which will just me our ultrasound picture with headphones on

GTKY: What’s your #1 bucket list item? (Completed or not!) New Zealand. I've wanted to go since the Lord of the Rings movies came out and just have never had the chance/money to do it. Will have to wait a few years now until the little one is ready for travel!
