  • Estimated Due Date/Weeks + Days:  23&4
    FTM/STM/STM+: 4TM
    Team Green/Pink/Blue/Finding Out: PINK! 💗💗💗💗
Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: a grapefruit?
Upcoming appointments: new chiropractor on Wednesday!
How are you feeling?: I’ve been pretty blue lately. And so sick of the nausea and no energy. No 2nd tri magic for me!
Rants/Raves: I ranted a bit in the weekly random post. I really wish we could figure out this LO’s name!
Questions: SIL is having a baby named Margaret in March. Margot has been a top name for a while, but we can’t use it, right? Cousins named Margaret and Margot would be weird? They’d see each other maybe 1-2x a year.
GTKY: I have the travel planning bug- if you could be anywhere in the world right now, where would you go? Sigh. Covid ruined a lot. DH and I were supposed to go to Barcelona and Majorca in the fall for our 10th anniversary. Then, I had an all inclusive mom trip in Jamaica that was supposed to happen in January that got canceled. If I could go anywhere right now and I’m still pregnant in the dreamworld... anywhere warm with a lovely beach or pool.

Upcoming appointments: March 12 for midwife check up
How are you feeling?: Pretty great! Nothing bad to say, thankfully!
Rants/Raves: The weather is amazing here this week! And we’ve finally decided that we’re staying here and will buy a house. So we are house hunting but the market is INSANE here. Can’t even get a viewing spot for houses that went on the market today. 🤯
    Questions:
GTKY: I have the travel planning bug- if you could be anywhere in the world right now, where would you go?

Ugh. Australia. We were supposed to go but didn’t get to because of covid. Also I’d like to go back to Portugal and just eat again. I want to travel so badly. 😭😭

Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: original Nintendo game boy

Upcoming appointments: March 1 is a Telehealth visit which seems strange and pointless?

    How are you feeling?: tired

Rants/Raves: feeling really big lately. I have been unhappy about having to put on weight in the first place and felt like I was doing pretty good up until the last couple of weeks when the scale seemed to just skyrocket. I hate that I’m not eating any more necessarily from day to day but the scale cannot stop it’s upward movement. 😖

Questions: not that I can think of

GTKY: I have the travel planning bug- if you could be anywhere in the world right now, where would you go? the Maldives
  • Estimated Due Date/Weeks + Days: 25+2

    FTM/STM/STM+: baby #4

    Team Green/Pink/Blue/Finding Out: girl #3!

Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: baseball glove

Upcoming appointments: 28week appointment in March

How are you feeling?: pretty achy by the end of the day

Rants/Raves: my sister is pregnant too, she told us what she’s planning on naming the baby and I hate it so much. Obviously, I haven’t said anything to her because if she loves it then I’m not going to ruin it for her but me and DH cannot stand it.

As for our baby, we are struggling with a middle name. I tasked my oldest daughter(10yo) with finding a middle name for her, haha

    Questions: none

GTKY: I have the travel planning bug- if you could be anywhere in the world right now, where would you go? boo Covid. We’ve had three cruises canceled from Covid. I just want to be on a ship in the middle of the ocean.
  • @disgruntled_pelican There is no reason not to use your name - I love it btw.  I think it would be more weird to not use it since it's not even the same name and also who cares.

@mc0303 That's awesome news!  When will you move and what part of the east will you be?

    Estimated Due Date/Weeks + Days: June 23 for RCS/ 22+3
    FTM/STM/STM+: STM (DS is 2.5)
    Team Green/Pink/Blue/Finding Out: Team Pink
Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: a guinea pig
Upcoming appointments: not for another 2 weeks and that's just an OB visit
How are you feeling?: pretty good.  craving sugar like made.  I'm still dealing with the hemorrhoids and I hate them.
Rants/Raves: RAVE: baby girl is moving a ton and I could feel her a bit from the outside yesterday while doing yoga.  It is doing wonders for my anxiety to feel her so often
RANT: H is annoying me.  He has been giving me a hard time for not being more aggressive about looking for work (I'm a freelance writer) but he also gives me all these time consuming projects that don't let me focus.
    Questions: not today
GTKY: I have the travel planning bug- if you could be anywhere in the world right now, where would you go? I want to be warm.  Aruba would be nice.

  • @disgruntled_pelican, I don’t think those are too similar at all and I love it!

    @mc0303 that is sooo exciting!

    *Live, Love, Laugh, Learn*

  • @disgruntled_pelican I don’t think there’s anything wrong with having Margaret and Margot, especially since they won’t see each other super often!

@mc0303 That’s so great about WFH and being close to family! Hopefully the relocation isn’t too painful.

@AKuzReve Yay for househunting but sorry the market is so crazy, hopefully you can find something soon. Do you have a buyer’s agent that can help you find places before they hit the market?

@kfc1983 I stopped weighing myself because there’s no point, at this point the baby is gaining weight so we have to gain weight.

@ramfam2507 That’s super cute for your oldest to get to help with the name! I “named” my little brother (not really but 2 year old me wanted to name him the same thing as my best friend’s little brother and coincidentally that was my dad’s name too and they were going to name him that no matter what).

@laurad75 The movement is the best. This one is so much more active than my A18!

Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: Mr. Potato Head
Upcoming appointments: Ultrasound and OB appointments next Weds
How are you feeling?: I am finally coming up for air after feeling like I was drowning all last week. The storm here did a number on my mental health, we were some of the lucky ones who maintained power all week but the stress of all of it and not being able to leave my house or get anything delivered was really hard on me. And I got slammed with work to boot. So I've been lurking some but haven't been mentally able to engage as much as I'd like, but hopefully that will change now that I am feeling a lot better.
Rants/Raves: Rant: I am having a hell of a time getting my second vaccine dose since they had to cancel/reschedule everyone last week and the supply/distribution is a mess here still. I am 34 days out from my first dose so really hope I can get the second some time this week. Rave: Baby boy is like a karate master, I feel him all day every day pretty much and I love it, I didn't have this with my daughter at all and it is amazing how bonded it makes you feel so early on.
    Questions: NATM
GTKY: I have the travel planning bug- if you could be anywhere in the world right now, where would you go? I would love more than anything to go visit my grandma in CT, she is my last living grandparent and has never met DD and I am so scared she won't live much longer (she's in her 90s) and I will have missed the chance to introduce them because of stupid Covid. Also Hawaii, DH and I went there for our honeymoon and I really want to go back, one of my college friends rented a condo there to escape CA and has been there for months and I am so jealous.

  • @disgruntled_pelican As a Margaret, I do not feel like Margaret and Margot are too close. Then again, I am exclusively Maggie, so Margot is completely different to me. ALSO, Margot is a beautiful name and you should 100% go for it.

Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: Chocolate cake, apparently

Upcoming appointments: 1 hour GD test on Friday

How are you feeling?: I'm feeling 95% good. Some sciatic pain, some sleep troubles, and randomly throwing up on rare occasions when I drink too much water before I eat anything.

Rants/Raves: Rants: I've been working out almost every day and eating 95% healthy, and the scale is still skyrocketing. My doctor is going to lecture me on Friday and I am not looking forward to it. Raves: Other than that, things are going really well. I'm busy at work, which I prefer, and my supervisor is working really closely with me on a transition plan for my maternity leave, which is making me feel very supported and cared for.

    Questions: NATM

GTKY: I have the travel planning bug- if you could be anywhere in the world right now, where would you go? Our 5 year wedding anniversary trip to Ireland was cancelled due to COVID, so I'm going to say Ireland for sure.

  • @kfc1983 last week I felt like my weight jumped all of a sudden and I got nervous that I was gaining too much.  I was also convinced I was much bigger than with DS1.  Then I checked my notes in the patient portal from when I was pregnant before and I was actually a .5 lbs lighter than at 21 weeks with that pregnancy.

If you know you are taking care of yourself then there is nothing to worry about.  It's ridiculous that even pregnant we are still so focused on the scale.

  • @disgruntled_pelican I have mixed feelings on the name. Are they pronounced differently enough (I always thought they were pronounced similarly) and would both girls go by the nn Maggie? If it is a family name I would definitely say go for it.  My sister has a step daughter named Madeline (pronounced madelyn nn Maddie) we love Madeline but obviously can’t use it, we also like Madison (nn Maddie or maddy) but probably can’t use that either.

@mc0303 that’s so exciting, where are you going to move to?

@AKuzReve good luck on the house hunt!

@ramfam2507 that’s exciting that your sister is pregnant too, what name did they pick?

@laurad75 I’m also craving sugar like crazy. Sorry that your husband is being annoying.

-Rants/Raves: Raves- DH is going to do a mini-makeover on the bathroom soon. I’m so excited, fresh pain, new hardware, and new mirror will make so much difference. Also rave- I’m feeling the baby move a lot more.

Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: a bottle of champagne!! Oooh yummy lol but that seems..large. Lol

Upcoming appointments: none till March 11th for glucose test and regular appt.

How are you feeling?:  Tired, acid reflux, large AF.

Rants/Raves: my legs are so freaking hairy but I’m having the hardest time getting comfortable enough (mind you I have to sit/recline) to actually get anything more than a hack job done.   I am so uncomfortable in general and I still have 10 weeks left?! How am I going to manage that? Lmao!  Rave: idk 🤷‍♀️ Everyday that passes on bedrest is another day closer to a healthy baby!

    Questions:
GTKY: I have the travel planning bug- if you could be anywhere in the world right now, where would you go? I think I’d like to go somewhere super quiet and remote.  A cabin, maybe.  I don’t have a specific place in mind but something like this!

  • @sgrn18 Fwiw I don't have to sit/recline and still have mostly given up on shaving. It's still cold so no one really knows (husband doesn't much care...I think), but I'll be in trouble come warmer weather
  • @legallykate she pulled out her yearbook and started going down the list of names so I don’t know how it’ll work out 🤣

@MelissaMay82 they picked Amora. All I can think about is Gamora, the green chick from avengers/guardians of the galaxy  🤭

Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: a brick (?)
Upcoming appointments: 3/18 for my 28 week which includes GD screening and a second growth scan
How are you feeling?: pretty good, just feel big.  hips are really hurting when I try to sleep, can't seem to find relief for that.
Rants/Raves: I had a really nice conversation with my health insurance going over all my benefits a few days ago, wanted to confirm all my coverage and find out about ordering a breast pump (which I also got taken care of!).  They gave me tons of info and also informed me that my coverage requires me to pre-register the baby for coverage which is apparently unusual.  I never would have known that if I hadn't called, our company info just says I have 30 days from a life event to complete registration.  Now I'm kind of stressed about the "what if" if the something happens and baby comes early so I need to call our benefits department to get the whole scoop, ugh.
    Questions:
GTKY: I have the travel planning bug- if you could be anywhere in the world right now, where would you go? No baby, no covid - Vegas!  But really at this point anyplace that's not Colorado would be great, preferably someplace warm with some water!
  • @disgruntled_pelican I think it would be fine to use those names! They're different enough esp if they only see each other a few times a year.

@mc0303 congrats on the move! You are timing it right too- this winter was a Winter! And you'll be back in the land of Wawas!!!

@AKuzReve that must be such a relief to have that decision made! GL house hunting!!

@ramfam2507 yup I'd definitely be thinking Gamora all the time

@legallykate I hope this week is better work wise and mental health wise! And that you can get your second dose asap!!

@ellieemc26 good call on the insurance for pump! I need to call mine soon. Interesting about the pre-registration, i haven't heard of that before. Hopefully HR can help!

Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: grapefruit
Upcoming appointments: Friday for fetal echo
How are you feeling?: Good!! Exhausted lol. I think my autoimmune meds are helping me this pregnancy- body-wise my pain was a lot worse last time. Seriously can't get enough sleep though 😴 pretty thirsty all the time too, and starting to nest a bit.
Rants/Raves: told HR today so am going to get the ball started with that. Still not "out" at work and can only wear baggy sweatshirts for so much longer so will probably announce soon! DH and DS2 have been able to feel the baby moving in the last few days so that's fun!
    Questions: natm
GTKY: I have the travel planning bug- if you could be anywhere in the world right now, where would you go? If covid exists-- rent an rv and tour us/Canadian national parks or New Zealand/Australia. No covid-- probably everywhere in Europe lol. We've been watching The Amazing Race at dinner and my kids are so into it. I'd want to go pack into museums and restaurants and talk to every single person lol.

Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: Baby is the size of a GI Joe doll lol

Upcoming appointments: March 1st is a busy day as I have 3 appts that day lol. I have an OB appt, an ultrasound to my check my cervix length and an appt with my therapist. Im hoping all goes well.

How are you feeling?: Pretty good most days. Doing and feeling much better mentally and emotionally wise then the past week so thats good news 👍My hips and back have been kinda aching at night when I sleep on my sides. I toss and turn and try to prop myself up with pillows on an angle to sleep to releive some pain. I really miss sleeping on my back and can't wait to do that again after the baby is out lol Also, some pelvic pressure and discomfort down there. Overall cant really Complain.

Rants/Raves: I've been having alot of nose bleeds lately and then dried blood boogies in my nose also when I blow it. Which has been annoying. On a good note, the babies kicks have been getting more stronger and frequent which is good and DH has been able to feel him move and kick from the outside 🥰

    Questions: NATM

GTKY: I have the travel planning bug- if you could be anywhere in the world right now, where would you go? Anywhere would be nice lol I'd prob go to Disneyland or Las Vegas or lay on a beach somewhere tropical like the bahamas.

@ramfam2507 Amora?? 🤨 oook. Lol reminds me of Sodom and Gomorrah from the Bible. Sorry lol 🤭
  • @laurad75 and @MelissaMay82 I’ll be in SE Pennsylvania...about an hour south of Philadelphia. At least that’s where we’ll be while we house hunt for a few months.

@_orchid_ GIRL. Don’t even get me started with how excited I am to be close to WaWa!!! Hahaha it’s all I can think about. It’ll probably be my post-birth meal
  • @_orchid_, I have not been to wawa in YEARS but that made me laugh because it was totally a staple amongst all my U.S. adventures.

@laurad75, with you on the weight thing. As long as baby is healthy, that is the most important factor.

Thank you all for the house hunting luck! @akoros and @legallykate, we are trying to find one now with insider access but the process here is super weird. Hopefully we can find one though and until then, try to be super quick about contacting places for viewings. We have 1 on Tuesday and will bid on Wednesday, if we like it. So FX it works out.

  • @mindyb2019 that was my second thought! 😅 Either a green person or a terrible bible story. Me and DH were talking to my mom and Gamora accidently slipped out instead of Amora 😱 my mom isn’t a fan either but 🤷🏻‍♀️
  • @AKuzReve Good luck! I feel your pain, we went through something similar a few years ago, gave up for a year, and then in a momentary market lull lucked into finding a place in the same condo community where we were renting that needed a lot of work (he also had a bad realtor, so it sat for way too long). I have another friend who's struggling to find a place near Richmond, the market is just going nuts right now...and in many places it was already crazy to start with!

Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: The baby's thumb is as long as a keyboard letter key.
Upcoming appointments: 3/8 - Appt. includes ultrasound to see if the choroid plexus cyst detected during the A/S has resolved it's selve, 1 hour GD test, and 28 week check.
How are you feeling?: Pretty good. Some days I feel big!
Rants/Raves: Slept really well the past few nights and it's been life changing!
    Questions: NATM
GTKY: If you could be anywhere in the world right now, where would you go? I would want to be at my family's camp on the lake. We don't open camp until early May when it is warm enough to turn on the water (it's not winterized). With my due date and camp being 2 hours away, we can't go until after the baby is born. I can't wait to get away and to bring baby there for the first time.

How are you feeling?: I feel good physically but I'm a mess emotionally. Just feeling really sad for no reason

Rants/Raves: rant - we had planned on moving when our lease is up but the place we decided on doesn't have availability until July and I really wanted to move before baby arrived.
Rave- I can still eat my favorite pasta dish despite having GD.

    Questions: none right now!

I just want to go to Florida with my gal pals like I had planned on before covid ruined everything lol

  • @mc0303 haha Wawa is exciting! I love that area of PA- BIL and a few of my high school friends live there, and it's one of the places I would've chosen for myself if we weren't stuck where we are for DH's work. I grew up right over the bridge in south jersey and loved being close to Philly. Good luck!!
@mindyb2019 glad you are feeling better!! I've been waking up on my back a lot at night and have felt ok, but last night every time I rolled on my back I immediately had to pee so I think those days are over
@doubleup8 I remember you talking about your family's camp last summer!! Sounds awesome!! Haha when I'm at work I'm either sitting at a desk or wearing a sweatshirt and a jacket so I think there's just a lot there 😂
@ruemcclanahan sorry you are feeling down. This time is so hard with covid, winter ending, and just so much uncertainty about the future. Hope you are feeling less sad soon.
  • @_orchid_ I have been waking up on my back too alot lately and I feel fine so I dont even notice im doing it. I have also been peeing alot lol

@ruemcclanahan so sorry your feeling sad and down. Thats been me lately too and so I totally get it. Hang in there girl. Sending you hugs 😘
  • @mc0303 Woo, yay Philadelphia! Wawa is so important, I'm still mad that my husband made me move to a different neighborhood in DC a few months before a Wawa opened up **2 BLOCKS AWAY**. I shouldn't whine, at least DC now has two Wawas, rather than having to drive out to Annapolis. And yes, I know where all the Wawas are off of I-95 in MD for when I drive back to PA (though prefer exits 74 and 77B).
  • @akoros wow!! When I lived in DC there were ZERO WaWas. I lived there for like 5 years after college...near Thomas Circle which I am now looking at on a map and see a friggin WaWa there!!! That’s wild!
  • @mc0303 Yeah, it took a while, but they decided to try out a new "urban" model and piloted it in DC about 3ish years ago (never mind that there are/were plenty of old Wawas in dense/urban areas before they went to the gas station model). Now they're sprouting up all over (but not near me! I want a neighborhood Wawa)

Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: Have no idea
    Upcoming appointments: Next Wed!
How are you feeling?: physically, just some tightness in the hips that gives me some pelvic pain, and I get really tired if I do too much in one day
Rants/Raves: I am really frustrated with the problems from being laid off. I just feel like I wanted to enjoy this pregnancy and spoil myself some since it is my last, and instead we are pinching pennies and I am distracted trying to find a job. I hate feeling trapped into a situation and feel like it is stealing my joy from this pregnancy.
    Questions:
GTKY: I have the travel planning bug- if you could be anywhere in the world right now, where would you go?  Bora Bora or Maldives. I would be disappointed not to scuba. But laying on the beach with no worry in the world sounds so good right now.

Ah there is so much on this thread to catch up on!
