Hello, Sweet New Friends.
I hope you are all doing well and everything is moving along as you hope for. I am about five weeks pregnant, with an estimated due date around October 24th. DH and I have one son who is 11 years old. We have had two miscarriages, the first one was prior to my son and the second one after his birth, about eight years ago. I was told my uterine lining is paper-thin and that I would need Progesterone to stay pregnant in the future. We have been trying to conceive naturally for about two years. We recently visited a fertility specialist and last month I had an HCG test done to check my tubes. Everything looked okay there! Then, last week we had a BFP! We aren't sure whether to be excited, shocked, or scared to death, but we are ready for whatever may happen. I am set to finish grad school at the end of April and to start a new job this week, so it's definitely an exciting/interesting time for us. I look forward to getting to know each of you and having an outlet to vent to, as we have decided to not tell anyone until the second trimester due to our history of infertility and miscarriage. My doctor has me on Progesterone (yay!) and I am set for my first ultrasound at seven weeks on March 17th. Fingers crossed for a sticky baby!
