A few people mentioned they would be interested in some kind of Challenge or Contest for March, which by the end we should all be in 3rd trimester or pretty close! Let’s go into it strong!
If we have a few ideas, I can create a poll or if there is something that everyone is agreeing on we will be setup to go. So share your ideas! What is a good challenge for these pregnant bodies? Steps - Miles - Kilometers- Minutes per day/week -# of workouts?
I'm in too!!! I think like a daily step challenge per day would be fun. Most people now a days have watches or fitbits etc that count all that. I think it should start a certain time in the morning and end at the same time each day for each person as alot of us live in different time zones.
2016 - dx with super low ovarian reserve; failed cycle with clomid, failed IUI, 2017 - egg retrieval #1 - 3 eggs, 0 embryos appropriate for transfer; ER #2 2 eggs, 0 embryos on day 3; ER #3 1 egg 0 embryos moved to donor egg in summer 2017; 35 eggs retrieved; 19 fertilized; 9 total embryos Fresh transfer Dec 2017= BFP! baby boy born 8/22/18
May 2019 - surprise natural pregnancy ended in MC Nov 2019 FET; MC at 9 weeks May 2020 FET; BFN July 2020 FET; CP treated with methotrexate Oct 2020 BFP!
I'd be in for any of those, especially now that the weather will be getting better 🤞🤞🤞 for a step, km, miles challenge. I have a 10k and 5 mile runs in April (both deferred from events last year) so am going to be trying to get as much time on my feet as possible so I can at least walk those!!
Should we do personal goals like everyone picks how many steps/miles/km are right for them? Or do a flat one across the board? How many are appropriate for 6-7 months pregnant?
@ramzlau I think personal would be good. Each pregnancy is so different and even each week is different. I'm able to do a lot more this pregnancy distance-wise than I was with either DSs- my feet were so bad at this point with DS2 that even half a mile would be a push.
It is sounding like a personal step challenge is the way to go? Or should I do a poll with steps/km-miles and personal vs same goals?
I am thinking we will just have it be a daily goal for the month of March. The “days” are midnight to midnight in your own time zone (that is how my watch/phone track it and I don’t know how to calculate in other time zones lol).
Oof, I think I'm going to have to lower my step goal! Normally I'd have no problem hitting 10k (if I have the time, of course), but just got back from a 2.5mi walk and feel totally wiped
Not sure if this is helpful for anyone, but this is how I will track my step goal/goals complete. For me personally I want to have different goals on different days since I run/bike on different days.

Love the idea of a personal step challenge.
Example: My goal is 10k steps per day. I walked 35k steps this week, on a goal of 70k. So I hit 50% of my goal.
