Gestational Diabetes/Type 2 Resources

Hey ladies! I was a lurker during my last pregnancy, but now I need some advice. I had diet controlled GD with my last pregnancy so my doctor had me do the 1hr GD test super early at 11 weeks with this pregnancy... yay. Well, she just called and I, "failed with flying colors." Ugh. She's not even having me do the 3hr, they're going to treat me as diabetic. She's sending me to have my A1C tested to see if I'm possibly Type 2... double yay.

Anyways, I'll obviously discuss with my OB/whatever specialist I'm sent to, but if you're diabetic or have had GD, I'd love hear of any cookbooks, websites, etc, that you find useful. Thanks!

@kmanley09 No cookbooks or anything to recommend but I had GD with my first two, and was on insulin with my second.  I just did my glucose test at 12 weeks yesterday and have a feeling I will be in the same boat shortly!  I had my A1C tested when I was about 5 weeks (regular bloodwork done for my GP and annual checkup) and that was okay so hopefully if I do have it, it's still only GD.

I dont have DM or GD, but I do follow a vegan/ WFPB diet for health reasons, which is also awesome for diabetes. If that's something you're interested in trying I have a ton of good websites/ cookbooks!
