Re: All Due Date Check-in 1/25
GTKY: what’s the story behind your username? It's my maiden initials, an extra letter, and my birthday. I really should stop using it but it's been one of my go to screen names since back on the Yahoo chat days of the late 90s/early 2000s.
GTKY: what’s the story behind your username? An old coworker used to call me juliebean for some reason, and it just stuck. Most people in my life don't actually call me this so it made for an easy username lol.

GTKY: what’s the story behind your username? It's a nickname my brother used to call me when I was little and it has become my go-to username ever since getting my first email address back in the day (back when yahoo email addresses were popular lol)
@kloe818 For some reason I always assumed your actual name was Kloe
@juliebeannn yesss it's been this way the whole pregnancy. Even right after I shower I feel like I smell horrible, like onions and BO. my H says I don't actually smell bad but I don't know if I believe him

GTKY: what’s the story behind your username? I tend to go with the first thing that pops in my head. And duhduhduck was apparently it that day!

GTKY: what’s the story behind your username? Its always my go to, it is a combo of my maiden name and my first name.
I want to apologize for being MIA for most of this pregnancy, i was really looking forward to getting to know all of you, and being a regular on the board but it just didnt happen. Between how sick ive been, moving houses, Covid, its been too hard to even keep up with my IRL friends. Hopin ill manage to be active here for the next few weeks and be welcomed into the facebook group before TB fizzles out.
after a scare this weekend, (fluid leakage, but determined to not be amnio) baby is still doing well, super happy about that 🙌 just praying he'll make it to my c-section date 🙏🙏🙏
GTKY: what’s the story behind your username?
The story is that I was in my late teens when I created this account 🤦♀️ it was originally a 'The Knot' account because I thought I was gonna marry the guy I was dating at the time 🤣 it sounds super childish to me now but oh well 🤷♀️
GTKY: what’s the story behind your username? Pupper+random alliteration

GTKY: what’s the story behind your username? I usually put an x before my usernames for no particular reason, lol. Vivid is one of my favorite words and the meaning behind it. Ash is my nickname. : )
My rave is that my virtual baby shower was really nice. It felt good to be "seen" if that makes sense, since I've felt for a while that I'm basically just going to start showing up places with two kids after everyone is vaccinated hahaha. My SiL made it really special, and it was wonderful to have people excited for the girls' arrival.
GTKY: what’s the story behind your username? It's a play on one of my hs usernames, except I changed it to my married initials.

GTKY: what’s the story behind your username? Cassandra Mortmain is the main character in "I Capture the Castle" by Dodie Smith, one of my all-time favorite books.
@juliebeannn I've been locked up tighter than usual too, my virtual hospital tour was basically like "we'll take good care of you, even if you have Covid, but please take every precaution possible and don't have Covid for delivery." Also, I think the BO thing is so the baby can smell you and find the boob, weirdly.
@manillabar I find beef stew can be so disappointing so easily, which is a bummer because I love it.
@firsttimemamabear9 I find myself thinking a lot about how wonderful it will feel when some of these symptoms subside and the girls are out! Haha!
@duhduhduck I'm no help on the pump front, my OB told me to wait until I'm in the hospital and they'll order it for me through my insurance - I may need to rent a hospital grade pump though since twins.
@princessjenney So so scary to see a leakage of any kind! Hoping you hold out until c-section date!
@xvividash So sorry that it was such a scary few days!!! Hopefully things calm down soon! I would try to get some sugar-free electrolytes to help with dehydration - Mio drops are sugar free, just make sure you get the ones with electrolytes!!!

She's continued to get further behind, and actually at my last growth scan yesterday, she grew even less than her normal. So the plan now is that if her growth is this low again at my next growth scan in two weeks, we'll be delivering (I'm currently 32w4d). Because of this news, my OB has also decided to go ahead with the steroid shots in case we need to deliver in the next two weeks. I had my first dose today and will get the second dose tomorrow morning.
We also had the follow up with cardiology back at the beginning of this month and they've determined that it'll be okay for me to deliver at my hospital here, but baby girl will have an echo before we're discharged.
We're expecting delivery to be a c-section, and if growth looks better in two weeks, we'll keep going with things, but we won't be going past 37 weeks (February 28).
All in all, we're having a baby next month! Just praying for her to be as healthy as possible when she arrives, and for NO MORE complications (for either of us!) I'm honestly really nervous about a c-section, and delivery in general. I want her to be okay, and we obviously don't know how she's going to do on the outside until she's here. I've been reading through some really great premie accounts on IG though, where babies were born very early and very small, and they're thriving now, so that's been a great encouragement.
Wish I could join you ladies on FB but I don't have an account! If anyone wants to connect on IG, though, I think that would be awesome. We could start a little group chat on there or something.
Anyway, I'll be back again with more when there's more to share.
I'm so glad to hear the plan they have in place for y'all, sounds like you're receiving great care and they're really on top of things 💗 C-sections are a serious thing but I found my planned c-section (which I had with my 10yo who was breech) to be very calm. I knew well in advance so I had plenty of time to mentally prepare. I think that helped a lot. We've scheduled a repeat c/s for this pregnancy.

Sorry to hear things have been so stressful @annanbby
@princessjenney we've definitely been blessed with an incredible care team. My doctors have been so thorough, so we're really thankful for that. I've heard a couple times that planned c-sections tend to be calm, which is encouraging. The idea of a major surgery is scary because it'll be my first surgery I've had, plus I'm a worrier so I have all this "what if this happens or this happens" thoughts going through my head. I talked to my doctor about it though, and he said that from the point they begin, it's about 2 minutes to get her out, and then 15 minutes to close up, which was way less time than I expected. So that helps a bit with my nerves, too!
