Trying to Get Pregnant

  • @bows22 so happy they got the vaccine! When do you think you will be eligible? And nice work getting on that treadmill! There was no motivation of that kind in my home this morning 🤣

    Month/Cycle: 8/7

    CD: 19

    WAYDTGKU: BBT, OPK

R/R: Work is a struggle. I’ve been trying to transition out of teaching for years but I’ve been finding that it’s a bit difficult to transition out of teaching. But it’s time, really. The amount of dread I feel on my drive in is just not healthy.

CS/Q: I’m regretting getting the CB kit bc it’s making me super antsy. CD 19 and not even a flashing smiley yet? I don’t typically get a positive OPK until cd 20-22 so I’m not going to stress too much yet but... ugh. Maybe this will confirm for me that I have a very quick LH surge? (I’ve been suspecting this for a bit now).

  • @bows22 yay for the vaccine! And what the heck with your old RE. Ridiculous. Then again, I know I had issues with getting/sending my old records for my 2nd opinion as well. Nice job getting on the treadmill!

@fameonmain2 if you're feeling dread on the drive to work, it is definitely time to look elsewhere. Hope you get that flashing smiley soon!

    Month/Cycle: 43/3 AL

    CD: 6

WAYDTGKU: supplements, OPKs, temping, GF and DF diet

R/R: Meh, Monday. Yesterday's yoga practice had the crow's pose. Didn't quite get up so I decided I would attempt it after the practice and ended up face planting haha.

CS/Q: might post my chart later

@bows22 impressive getting on the treadmill on a Monday morning despite bad sleep! 💪

@fameonmain2 ugh, I’m sorry you get that anxiety. Definitely sounds like it’s time transition out. I know easier said than done. And I hope the smileys come soon.

@inthewoods23 also impressive you were motivated for yoga on a Sunday! I’d fall 100% of the time if I attempted crow pose. Question...and this may be longer answer than you want to dive into here as I’m sure you’ve spoken to it before...but what are the benefits of the GF and DF for TTC?

@misspricklepants always nice to have something that to look forward to on mondays! I don’t watch the bachelor but I like Below Deck on Monday nights.

    Month/Cycle: 7/1AL

CD: 6 (I can’t always remember so cheating off @inthewoods23 since we were CD1 together 😂)

    WAYDTGKU: OPKs

R/R: This is only my 3rd AF since getting my paraguard iud out...I forgot how much better they are without the copper IUD. My periods with the IUD were crazy heavy and usually a full week. I was done CD 4 this AF with only a half day of heavy.

    CS/Q: None right now.

Ugh, sorry. Edited for wonky spacing again. My ocd couldn’t just let it go. Haha

  • @bows22. MH also got the vaccine and since he is friends with a lot of docs who are also vaccinated they are hanging out and I am SO jealous.

@fameonmain2 Ugh, that sucks-- I agree that feeling of dread is a really important signal. Hopefully you can find something that works for you.

@inthewoods23 omg crow pose used to be the death of me...

    Month/Cycle: 9?/4 AL

    CD: 2

WAYDTGKU: OPKs, BBT (tempdrop), the usual

R/R: Rave: I'm getting a mira in the mail today. It was only a matter of time given my general tendency to throw money at things that make me anxious. Have any of you guys used one before? I'm hoping it will make pinpointing ovulation easier, as I don't typically get a super-strong LH surge.

    CS/Q: Nothing to see.

  • @misspricklepants I'm over here like people still watch that? I've watched... maybe 2 seasons.

@sienna221 it is a bit of a story. You can get the gist of it in my siggy spoiler. Basically it's what my RE recommends to her patients after a failed embryo transfer if the RPL tests and biopsy (which checks the timing of the transfer and for mild endo) all come back normal. I was supposed to be on the diet for at least 3 months before the next transfer. That was January of last year and had the 2nd transfer scheduled for the end of March. Opted to cancel it with the pandemic. If you google gluten free and fertility you'll see that it can cause inflammation (same with dairy). We decided we'd take a break from the fertility stuff and just try naturally again since I always wondered if it was the problem. The plan was to go back to my RE in September/October when the cycle ended to get on their schedule for a 2nd transfer but as you know *TW* we got an unexpected BFP which ended in a loss *end TW*. So we're just at it again with me still on the diet. I actually lost 20lbs in 5 months being on the diet so there's some belief that maybe I've had a gluten (and maybe dairy) intolerance all this time and all that weight loss was the inflammation and bloating going down that I never knew I had.

  • @bows22 proud of you for still making it to your workout! I always think the same if I o early. Like dang, I hope that egg was good! 😂 that’s good about your parents! I’m glad they’re becoming more available now.

@fameonmain2 I’m sorry work is a struggle right now. It would be difficult to get out of such a steady career, so I hope it goes well soon. I didn’t like the CB either. It’s hard to see your progression and you have to rebuy the whole system every cycle. :/

@inthewoods23 I googled the pose, and I would face plant too! Good luck next time! 😂 That’s interesting about the gf/df diet, I didn’t realize it was for inflammation. I have heard that a clean diet and keto are good fertility diets.

@sienna221 glad af has gotten better without the iud!

@bumblebee0210 hope you like the Mira! I always think the same and then talk myself out of It in case I get ku the next cycle 🤡

    Month/Cycle: 20/19

    CD: 8

WAYDTGKU: trying to be better about tracking again! My thermometer died mid cycle last time and I just haven’t gotten back in my routine. So bbt, opks, pnvs, I have a fertility appointment with my ob Wednesday.

R/R: life has been so crazy lately. We’re finally settled into our new home and things are calming down. Just trying to enjoy the little things. Our friends seem to be going through their own stuff lately, so we’ve been keeping to ourselves, and trying to stay busy. I’m ready for spring. The winter season is always so dead and glum.

CS/Q: only a couple dots so far.

  • @fameonmain2 so I found out that a BMI over 30 puts you in category 1A in our state. I’m over that but barely. I know BMI is kind of B.S. and although I could stand to lose some weight, I don’t know that I really think I’m higher risk. So it feels like cheating. But I also don’t have any other way to get it so who knows when I will get it otherwise (although hopefully I will get pregnant and will be able to get it that way). As far as the CB kit, I’m curious to see what happens with yours! What day did you start taking them?

@inthewoods23 I’m often very glad that I’m doing yoga at home and not in a studio because of things like that happening!

@sie@sienna221 glad AF is going easier on you! I miss my light BCP periods.

@bumb@bumblebee0210 someone on here definitely had a mira. The fact that I can’t remember who hopefully means they graduated and it will work for you too!

@phot@photographerwife glad to see you, friend!

  • @bumblebee0210 used to? as in your used to be able to do it or you used to try and can't? What is Mira? What does it do?

@photographerwife amen to spring! I miss being able to sit comfortably outside for my morning meetings.

@bows22 it's a lot easier to attempt something more ambitious at home than in a studio even though I doubt other people would really be watching me as they're too busy focusing on themselves. I've actually never gone to a yoga studio for a class. It's just too expensive to me. I'd be interested in one of those aerial yoga kind of classes though. I'd probably pass on hot yoga though. I hate feeling that blanket of sweat all around me :s

  • @bows22 Ooh, thanks for bringing that BMI thing to my attention! We aren't doing "higher risk" in my state yet, but I've been saying I would stand in line smoking a pack of cigarettes if necessary  :D If all I have to do is ignore my diet, so much the better!

@fameonmain2 I went to order those CB tests and when I saw they were over $30 I went with the non-digitals. It was all a waste of money as well bc as soon as I peed on one, the easy@home went peak! Gahhh!!

    Month/Cycle: 2/1 AL

    CD: 19

WAYDTGKU: HIO every freakingggggg day, OPKs, Temping

R/R: Supposed to snow here tomorrow - boo!! Also I've felt so bloated all afternoon, I never made it over to paint at the office.

CS/Q: I had peak on OPK at 8am yesterday. When do I move to TWW? Temp still seems all over the place. If I still have a normal LP though, I might make it home from my work trip in time next month, esp if I have another late o!

  • @inthewoods23 I used to do yoga very regularly and I loved-hated crow. Now I do not, and likely would not attempt! Mira is a quantitative LH/E2 test (I can't link to it but you can google). It (supposedly) gives you actual LH and E2 levels, and thus is easier than squinting at opk strips, but who knows... will report back!

  • @demimondaine we have snow predicted for tonight into tomorrow. And we just shoveled our driveway of 3-4 inches yesterday  As for when to move to the TWW - it's really up to you. Some do it the day after their peak, some do it when they get the temp shift, and others wait for CHs in FF confirming O.

@bumblebee0210 girl, you do you, but I can't imagine spending that kind of money for Mira! I am definitely intrigued just because it's interesting to see real numbers. Those PR photos though lol. I always think those are so silly. Like where's the realistic photo where you're inserting the strip into the device while you're in your bathroom? Why is it always someone holding device in one hand and their toddler in the other? People don't do that haha

@inthewoods23 I’m impressed that you actually attempted crows pose! I can’t get up the courage to do it

@misspricklepants I’m excited someone else here watches the bachelor!

@sienna221 yay for being done with AF! Jealous, mine is never that short.

@bumblebee0210 I hadn’t even heard of the Mira before but I’m curious about how it goes! I feel you about anxiety throwing money at any sort of fertility gadget, that’s how I feel about the TD (which I actually don’t regret) and the CB kit (which I’m kinda regretting).

@photographerwife yeah, the steady piece is what has made it so hard to leave, but it’s not a new feeling for me so I know that I have to make the transition soon. I’d like to stay in the education sector though! Just not classroom teaching full time. So glad to hear you are settled - such a good feeling when it finally comes. I hear you about winter too. Ready for longer and warmer days.

@bows22 oh how interesting! I would be tempted to “cheat” haha. Waiting until the summer possibly just seems horrible. We (teachers) just got moved down the list again so it will be interesting to see when we are finally eligible. As for CB I started on CD15 and haven’t gotten any indication yet, but then again I’m only kind of starting to see some fertile cm today so maybe I’ll O on the later side of my usual. This is the second cycle in a row though when I’ve had trouble tracking cm so I’m getting a little concerned about it...

@demimondaine yes, we’ll see how it goes, but I might not get them again. As for moving to TWW it’s definitely personal preference, I tend to wait for crosshairs bc I get “shifty shifts” before my real shift all the time and I’m bad at opks.

@demimondaine I know! I have been doing really well with exercising and now I’m like maybe I should stop? I’m having an internal dilemma about it. I hope the snow isn’t an issue for you!
