Boy, Girl, or Team Green

I figured it would be nice to keep track but I know we have a lot of Team Green on this board!

I think we are going to do an elective ultrasound around 16-17wks to find out this sex of this LO. I'm still thinking it's going to be boy #6 but I'm so ready to know for sure!! 2.5-3wks to go!

I tallied up my 1st BMB and we have 13 boys and 8 girls so I’m curious to see how it’ll end up here. But so many team green!!

We won't find out until our detailed scan at the end of February so will add ours then!

@becks_726 I wish I had the patience to be team green. I can't imagine adding finding out if you have a son or daughter in an already amazing, emotional moment. ❤️

I Kind of wanted to be team green but my husband was very much against it. Then the nipt was offered (and covered by insurance) and I just couldn’t pass up the opportunity to know. I really wanted a girl. We were stuck on names and since we knew we were going to find out soon, we tabled that discussion until we knew

We found out for the first, were team green for the second (I love it), and we are finding out for this one again.  DH really wants to know.  Not sure what difference it makes.

@nopegoat it was unlike anything else! H was so in awe he didn’t realize I couldn’t see her and someone in the room had to prompt him to say “it’s a girl”! Funny but also totally magical.

@becks_726 My husband said It's a girl and a totally didn't hear him and my Dr was like did you hear your husband HA HA.  She's like you have a daughter!!

We just found out baby number 3 is a boy after having two girls I'm like what do I do with this HA HA.  Now I need to go through the clothes and pull out what I can salvage for a boy and isn't slap you in the face girly, but I'm going to wait until the anatomy scan to do that just in case.

@nopegoat how exciting!  Are your boys excited? Just think of the hand me downs you have!  My fear is coming up with another boys name we love and we only have 2 boys.  Oh no! Hahaha  congrats!

@tiggywiggles honestly my boys were basically like, "well duh". 😂😂 So they expected it to be another boy because they don't know anything else.
Yes! So many hand-me-downs! I will only have to replace a thing or two and get to focus on a couple fun pieces.
We already have the name picked out somehow. I was seriously terrified when we first found out I was pregnant because not only did we have to agree but we had to come up with a name that doesn't have any initials (first or middle) that we already used.

@nopegoat I’m so impressed you already have a name picked out! We can barely agree on what names can make the shortlist. I wonder what the odds are of having 6 boys!

@becks_726 I have heard (but unsure if it is backed with any sort of evidence) that the more you have of one sex, there is a slightly higher probability of continuing to have that sex - like I said, unsure of the science behind it but I have heard this a few times 🤷🏻‍♀️

@becks_726 I am too. His name is Samson Boone. Not sure if we just got lucky or have gotten a bit less picky out of sheer desperation ha!

@canucklehead123 I think that's true up until 3 and 4 then the chances are supposed to drop down dramatically again.

Congrats @nopegoat!! Want to help us with a boy name? Our son almost left the hospital without a name and now we have to come up with another boys name lol. Girls names are so much easier for us to agree upon for some reason!

@nopegoat Everett is on our short list and LOVE Boone, but with the last name Brown hubby vetoed it hard.
@kime783 Griffin was on out list for both Wyatt and Declan.

@nopegoat and @tiggywiggles we have a friend with a son named Everett! Henry is Griffin’s middle name and will likely be the middle name for our second little boy since it is my maiden last name that I kept. We all have similar taste in boy names it seems 😁

Girl #2 on the way! We are going to have a rough time with names this go around. We went to the hospital with 2-3 names last time and picked one once we saw her (Olivia Jane). But now we don’t like any other names lol.

@kime783 We liked Penelope, Stella, Nora and Emma but were set on Jane for the middle name. We still like those but don’t love them this time around so won’t be using any of them! Back at square one lol  Adeline Kate is one we’ve been testing out but just don’t know yet

@kime783 Henry is one of my favorite boy names! We definitely would’ve used it if we were having a boy. I also really liked Noah, Nash and Jack, but we named our dog jack before having kids so that one is off the table for us lol. One of my friends just had a Miles, and another has a Maddox and a Harrison. Love all those names! 

We have a Marlee and a Charlotte close-ish to us so those names are out for us, but we liked them!

We found out it s a boy when i took the dna test week 13. (physician being not a good one, i had not started the usual blood tests)

That was a very moving moment. My partner was a bit overwhelmed
